  • 5x 6.03mm Tightbore inner barrel

If you want to ensure victory, you need this. The WELL PRO WE23-Plus Rotary Minigun is part of its "PRO" line of high-end AEGs. This Airsoft Minigun is constructed primarily from high-density polymer to keep the weight manageable, with 5 aluminium outer barrels braced with an aluminium ring at the tip. The Minigun feeds from 2800rnd spring-assisted high-capacity magazines which are wound by the internal motor of the Minigun itself, meaning you can spray and pray without worrying about winding every 3 seconds!

On the inside, Well has equipped this Minigun with the parts it needs to truly dominate the battlefield. The 5 inner barrels are all 6.03mm tight bores, granting a small increase in FPS and improved accuracy potential. The 5 HOP-up units are all independently adjustable, making use of a rotary design for each barrel to apply adjustments. The bearings are 8mm, meaning smooth running and low friction, and the Minigun is also compatible with standard AEG HOP-up buckings and inner barrels, just in case its performance isn't already enough for you!

The Well Minigun has the very real potential to change the game, with an incredible fire rate on an 11.1V LiPo battery and a monstrous 2800rnd magazine that winds itself. Miniguns have been around before, but this one is smaller, lighter and far more affordable than its rivals. If you have wanted a taste of the Minigun life but held off for one reason or another, with the Well Minigun in your hands you will be happy you waited!

Description

Ever since the first WELL PRO minigun, they have just been getting better and better. With the range of miniguns growing, we're starting to see a minigun perfectly designed for every situation, not that we're complaining! This monster puts out an astonishing 36 rounds per second at 300 FPS, making it a serious game changer and an intimidating foe to face down with.

This absolute beast of a minigun is equally effective at putting BBs down range and just looking intimidating. People do not want to mess with you when your platform is twice the size of theirs. The minigun doesn't break the scales either, being 3.7kg unloaded it's surprisingly easy to wield considering its length.

Starting at the front we can see 5 outer barrels, bound together with an aluminium ring to keep things stable and straight. The outer barrels are also constructed from aluminium, unfortunately, they are not threaded, but we doubt that muzzle attachments are your primary concern when it comes to wielding this mighty minigun.

Moving rearwards, we come to the handguard which is constructed from rigid high-density polymer with a textured surface feel, indicating fibre reinforcement. The handguard is cylindrical and has a hand stop built in to prevent your hand from slipping onto the moving barrels and potentially causing a malfunction. At the 3,6, 9 and 12 o'clock positions on the handguard, we are treated to M-LOK negative space attachment slots, allowing you to add mission essential kit such as grips, flashlights or lasers without adding the excess weight and "cheese grater" effect associated with 20mm quad-railed handguards.

Following the handguard we reach the receiver which is also constructed from high-density polymer, keeping the weight down and the strength high. The receiver is relatively featureless, with no ejection port, charging handle or bolt release to be found; just a safety lever at the rear of the top of the pistol grip. The safety lever allows you to lock the trigger or unlock it for some rotary barrel full auto madness, but there is no semi-automatic fire mode, exactly as it should be! The safety catch is colour-coded, with a white indented "S" indicating safe mode and a red indented "F" indicating fire.

Along the top of the receiver, we can find the carry handle, making for a convenient way to transport the Minigun when it is not being fired. The carry handle also provides a 20mm Picatinny top rail and a selection of sling mounting options. The top rail has basic open iron sights built in but also allows you to mount an optical sight or aiming laser, if you really need to, that is! At the front of the carry handle, we have one conventional sling loop and a steel QD sling socket on either side, with an additional sling loop at the rear of the pistol grip.

At the rear of the top rail, we can find our motor height adjustment screw, a big indicator that this Minigun is very unconventional in design. We don't recommend tuning the adjustment unless you are confident you know what you are doing as the stock setup runs smoothly in its default position.

On the bottom of the receiver, we can find the magazine well, but no magazine catch. This is because the mag catch is positioned on the front of the magazine itself, easily accessed from either side. The magazine supplied with the Minigun is a spring-assisted high-cap magazine which winds up using the internal motor of the Minigun itself, meaning no need to faff around winding a wheel, just dump your mag as fast as you can!

The magazine indexes at the rear and rocks in to lock at the front, similar to an AK or FAL platform, but this is where the similarities end! To fill the mag, you will need to remove the rear plate to expose the fill window. Removing the rear plate is far easier than any other AEG box mag; simply squeeze the two tabs on either side of the central "bar" on the rear plate and it comes straight off, together with the large internal spring. Remove the entire assembly, pour your BBs into the mag, reinstall the rear plate and you are ready to shoot!

Bringing up the rear, we come to the pistol grip which is set at an ideal angle for walking fire. The pistol grip as dot matrices on either side, allowing you to mark your Minigun with I.D info using a paint pen if you so choose. The dot matrices also provide a bit of extra grip, giving you good purchase on the Minigun in all weather conditions.

The battery compartment is located inside the pistol grip and is accessible by pulling the metal screw tab on the baseplate downward, after which it can be hinged open. There is absolutely loads of room inside for a big ol' battery, which you will definitely need! We recommend an 11.1V 1450mAh LiPo but you may be able to fit bigger batteries inside if you are careful when installing them. The battery connector is a Deans T-plug, meaning you can enjoy better electrical efficiency and save a bit of space in the battery compartment when compared to the mini-Tamiya connector.

If you are in the market for an unconventional performance beast which will upset every skirmisher on the other team, this is it. The Well Minguns have surprised us all, not only with its absolutely intense 36RPS firing rate but also their superb build quality. If you are making a Minigun you have to do it right, and we believe Well has the best ones available, especially when it comes to size to firepower ratio. You won't make any friends skirmishing with this monster, but who needs friends when you own a Minigun...

Special Instructions

These table can be used as a reference to see if the BB weight you are using will be over acceptable Joulage limits at some Airsoft Sites in the UK. To check if the weight can be used chrono your weapon using the BB you intend to use, and then compare it to the chart.

FPS, Power and Joule Limits can vary from site to site, so please get in touch with where you're going to play with in advance to avoid disappointment.

Suggested limits are based on Joulage Limit rules used Halo Mill: Proving Grounds, with a 350fps limit for Automatic Replicas, 400fps for Semi-Automatic Replicas, and 500fps for Bolt Action Replicas.

Tap the tabs below to open the relevant chart for your replica.
