If you love that competition styling in a sidearm but don't have a thousand quid in your pocket, VORSK is here to make your dreams a reality! The CS Defender Pro 1911 GBB Pistol is styled after real steel competition-optimised handguns and comes with a built-in compensator, flared magazine well, ported slide and gorgeous real wood/rubber hybrid grips pre-installed.
Building on VORSK's pedigree of offering some seriously slick full metal GBB pistol designs in an affordable package with loads of spare bits included, the CS Defender gives you the option of running it in either compensated or combat configurations. In the latter state, it is compatible with 12mm CW female thread adapters so you can equip it with a tracer unit for some CQB intimidation and an instinct-aiming advantage. Whether this is your first sidearm or you want something to compliment your collection that has a bit more flare and head-turning good looks, the CS Defender Pro should do the job, and do it well!

Description
The VORSK CS Defender Pro adds to VORSK's lineup of stylish GBB pistols based on the slickest and quickest of real steel competition shooting designs. The base platform is the venerable 1911 handgun, winner of two world wars and still maintaining its place amongst the best of modern handguns thanks to its comfortable grip angle, crisp and snappy trigger pull and above-average accuracy. This is the version with Blackwood grips, maintaining a discrete and business-like approach with its black stained wood grips and subtle black-finished outer barrel.
The 1911 was one of the pioneers, the first few semi-automatic handguns that quite literally defined the shape of what we consider a conventional handgun design today. The CS Defender Pro takes the 1911 platform and redefines it as a modernised pistol platform with a boutique external look and value for money that is hard to beat!
Starting at the front we can find the built-in compensator which is ported on the top and the sides, furnishing the CS Defender Pro with its intimidating looks. The compensator is removable, and a standard barrel bushing is included in the box, so if you prefer a more subtle combat-style pistol or you want to mount a suppressor or tracer unit you can swap the compensator out for the barrel bushing and leave it as it is, or mount a 12mm CW female thread adapter and give the enemy a real "glow-up"!
Removing the compensator is super simple; all you need to do is push the recoil spring housing at the front of the slide in slightly, then turn the compensator to the left side of the pistol and the compensator comes straight off. The included barrel bushing can then be installed and your 1911 will look that bit closer to your grandaddy's 1911 while still sporting VORSK's unique styling.
Moving rearwards we come to the slide which features 3 ports on each side at the front, keeping the looks of the CS Defender Pro in line with other VORSK GBB pistols and setting it apart from rival pistols from other brands. The outer barrel is finished in matt black and is visible through the slide ports in classic competition race gun style. The slide ports not only look great but also reduce the weight of the slide which translates to better gas efficiency and a quicker cyclic rate.
The top of the slide is where we can find the iron sights which are simple combat-style fixed irons with white dots to speed up target acquisition. The rear sight also features anti-glare texture on the rear face to make the sights easy to see when the sun is out, and the top of the slide is adorned with texture patterned after that found on real competition pistols intended to reduce heat mirage. You won't see any heat mirage when shooting the CS Defender Pro but the texture can also do double duty as gripping texture, improving handling and making the CS Defender Pro easier to rack in wet weather conditions.
The CS Defender Pro is marked with VORSK's logo and "CUSTOM SHOP" on the left side of the slide, taking the form of immaculate engravings with no flaws to be found. Over on the right side, just beneath the chamber we can see "Defender PRO" engraved in a stylised font, completing the customised look and showing that VORSK is proud of its creation. The chamber also has .45 ACP engraved on the top, a nice nod to realism despite the CS Defender Pro's 6mm Airsoft BB chambering!
The rear of the slide boasts stylish serrations in typical VORSK style, stepping aside from conventional vertical serrations to add to the custom looks of the CS Defender Pro. The serrations make cocking the pistol far easier in wet weather or when wearing gloves and are deep enough to provide plenty of traction without being too cheesegrater-like for use without gloves. The hammer, found at the rear of the slide, is a skeletonised design which pairs well with the competition race gun style aesthetic and also improves gas efficiency by reducing the mass of the moving components.
The adjustable HOP-up unit of the CS Defender Pro is positioned on the bottom of the outer barrel in typical GBB pistol style and is accessible when the slide is removed and the pistol is in "field stripped" condition. To remove the slide, first remove the magazine, then rack the slide. With this done, pull the slide back so the slide lock/release is aligned with the semi-circular cutout just to the rear of the slide locking notch. With the slide held in this position, you can push the slide lock/release lever through the gun from the right side, after which the slide can be pushed off to the front. The HOP-up adjuster is on the left side of the outer barrel and can be turned to increase the HOP-up effect and tune the CS Defender Pro for ammo of different weights, looking for the flattest possible trajectory.
Moving down to the frame, we are greeted with a classic 1911 layout, with a straight back trigger with a curved front face, a comfortable grip angle and the usual 1911 manual safety catch and beavertail grip safety combination. The magazine release is located on the left side of the grip, well within reach of the shooter's thumb, and is a push-button design which most users will be familiar with (sorry USP users!).
The manual safety is mirrored on either side, making it easy to use regardless of whether you are right or wrong-handed, and the beavertail safety is also ambidextrous, locking the trigger if the pistol is not gripped firmly. Many competition shooters choose to pin their grip safety in place for a faster draw, but the inclusion of the grip safety is very important for combat use as it prevents a trigger snag from causing a negligent discharge.
The front of the frame has pyramidal texture finely engraved in to provide ample grip for wet weather operations, and the hammer spring housing at the rear is similarly equipped. Also built into the hammer spring housing is a subtle magazine well extension with a flared opening, designed to help guide the magazine into the magwell and speed up your reloads.
Naturally, we saved the best for last! The grips of the CS Defender Pro are constructed from a combination of super grippy rubber and real wood stained in an ebony-like Blackwood finish. These grips look absolutely fantastic and are perfectly in line with VORSK's boutique aesthetic. The combination of real wood and rubber gives us the best of both worlds; providing superb gripping qualities and comfort along with the premium feel of real wood furniture. The shape of the rubber section also blends well with the angle of the slide ports, bringing the whole gun together as a completed piece.
If you are looking for a sidearm and you've got style, but not a limitless budget, the VORSK CS Defender Pro should be right up your street. With eye-catching yet subtle looks, the choice of two configurations and full metal construction, you would be hard pressed to find a better option in this price range!

Joule Charts
Special Instructions
These table can be used as a reference to see if the BB weight you are using will be over acceptable Joulage limits at some Airsoft Sites in the UK. To check if the weight can be used chrono your weapon using the BB you intend to use, and then compare it to the chart.
FPS, Power and Joule Limits can vary from site to site, so please get in touch with where you're going to play with in advance to avoid disappointment.
Suggested limits are based on Joulage Limit rules used Halo Mill: Proving Grounds, with a 350fps limit for Automatic Replicas, 400fps for Semi-Automatic Replicas, and 500fps for Bolt Action Replicas.
Tap the tabs below to open the relevant chart for your replica.
This table should be used for reference, and cannot be used to check one weight against another, as the weight of the BB affects the power.
In order to check if the BB can be used with your replica chronograph using the weight you wish to use and then compare it against the table.
Every time you change weights you will need to re-chrono and check against the table. This is not a conversion chart between weights.
Suggested limits are based on Joulage Limit rules used Halo Mill: Proving Grounds, and is the equivalent of 350fps, using 0.20g BB resulting in an upper limit of 1.14j.
