The Heckler & Koch HK417. 

The UMAREX HK417D is a recoil operated Gas Blowback rifle, featuring a bolt carrier recoil system which throws a super heavy bolt right back into your shoulder & rechambering a round with each return to battery, it's safe to say this is one of the hardest kicking, loudest sounding and most immersive Gas Blowback Airsoft platforms we've ever seen.

Starting towards the front end of the gun you've got a standard 7.62x51 / .308 Birdcage style Flash Hider which is compatible with most QD / AR-10 style suppressors, fitted to a 14mm CCW outer barrel ( Before removing this flash hider, please take out the grub screw ) Moving on you've got the 9.5" QUAD RIS / RAS Rail Handguard, constructed entirely from a smooth finish alloy with rail sections on all sides, you've got all the rail-estate you could ever need for the addition of Foregrips, Handstops, Torches, Lasers & Laser Light Modules / PEQ units, canted red dots and rail covers.

Next we've got the receiver, which is made up of two parts - The upper and lower. The Upper receiver, constructed from alloy just like the handguard houses the entire Gas Blowback Recoil System, as well as the charging handle and mock forward assist. The ejection port & dust cover can also be found on the upper, which on the real steel variant is where the spent shells would eject from after each shot. The bolt carrier which is visible when the dust cover is open reads "HK" in a white outline text representing the H&K Logo, so you can really FLEX on those Instagram shots. The upper receiver also has a 6" 20mm RIS rail for the addition of Sights, Scopes, Red Dots, Short Dots & Night Vision Optics.

The lower receiver is again constructed from alloy and has a number of cool features such as an ambidextrous fire selector which can be used / manipulated by left or right handed end users, so regardless of your dominant hand or if one of your hands is occupied with another task you can still operate your selector. The bolt release on the left hand side of the rifle is similar to your traditional AR-15 style ones which is a flat serrated push and release plate, once your gun is empty the bolt hold open will activate, then when a new magazine is loaded simply press the bolt release and return the gun to battery.

The Pistol Grip is a classic Heckler and Koch Battle Grip, which compared to your standard A2 AR-15 style is a lot longer and offers a more curved design to make for a comfier and more natural rest for the dip between your thumb and index, allowing the end user to operate fire controls while maintaining full control over the rifles positioning. 

The Stock is similar to the H&K Slimline stock, however this once is a lot bulkier and provides a thicker shoulder footprint to make up for the hefty 7.62x51 recoil. Not only does it looks great it's also extremely comfortable as it offers a convex rubber shoulder pad with horizontal serrations, making for excellent grip against all contact surfaces. The rear of the stock has both a left and right loop style sling mount, as well as a letter box style strap slot through the middle.

The HOP-up is adjustable via a 1.5mm grub screw located on the gas block at the front of the handguard. Thoughtfully, the Allen key to adjust is included in the box!

Lets not forget the best part about this gun though, it's Gas Blowback. Yes you heard that right, not only is this beauty decorated in H&K branding and built to an astounding spec, it's also got a fully functioning recoil bolt system powered by the included CHUNKY 7.62x51 H&K 20 Round Green Gas Magazine. Now we've handled some Gas Blowback guns before but this UMAREX Heckler & Koch 417D really packs a punch! There's no drag, no waiting for the cycle to complete, no slow travelling with the bolt, this recoil system has been designed to imitate the real thing and HOT DAMN does it do a good job, as soon as your trigger releases the hammer you're in for a beating from the bolt as it throws itself into your shoulder with every shot, this really is the pinnacle of airsoft immersion.

The H&K 417 is designed and manufactured by Heckler & Koch. Chambered in a 7.62x51 NATO Cartridge It is the big brother to the HK416 which is chambered in 5.56x45 which would be insufficient due to specific roles requiring a round with more penetrative power, stopping power and range. Special Instructions

This GBBR operates in the same manner as a real AR15, and as such cannot be cocked whilst the SAFE mode is engaged. If you force the action open with the safety engaged, it will break the safety. 

This is the generation 2 HK417 GBBR, making use of the VFC V3 GBBR system. The HOP-up adjuster is now inside the front of the gas block.
