PCS M3 3.5-10x40 Scope - Red/Green Illuminated Reticle w/Scope Rings

For those looking to build a real-world accurate SR25 or M24 sniper rifle, a replica M3 scope is the best tool for the job. The PCS M3 offers adjustable magnification between 3.5 and 10x and an illuminated reticle offering green and red illumination for low light use and to make the reticle easier to pick up quickly. Elevation, windage, focus and parallax are adjustable without tools, allowing for quick field adjustments without having to carry anything extra. This scope comes with scope rings for 20mm Picatinny rails, a 70mm threaded sunshade and lens covers, making it a complete set, ready to mount on your rifle of choice.

The objective lens is 40mm in diameter, offering a wide field of view whilst keeping the scope moderately sized. Inside the scope tube, we can see threading at the front which is used to mount the included sunshade. The sunshade helps limit the amount of ambient light which comes through the objective lens to help avoid glare and make the scope usable even in very bright conditions. This scope has a 30mm diameter monotube, making it suitable for any 30mm scope rings including dual ring mounts, though a set of basic yet functional rings are included in the box to get you going.

Moving rearwards we reach the adjustment turrets of the M3 scope, which are laid out similarly to most other rifle scopes. The top turret provides elevation adjustment, and the right side turret controls the left to right adjustment, also known as windage. The turret on the left side is the parallax adjustment turret which can be set to the range of the objective for a crystal clear view of the unfortunate target. These dials can all be adjusted without the need for tools, with the parallax dial offering a smooth, gradual adjustment and the windage and elevation turrets providing an audible and tactile click with each increment of adjustment.

Surrounding the "eye bell" of the scope we can find the magnification adjustment dial, also known as the "power ring". This dial allows you to adjust the magnification between 3.5 and 10x zoom, with 3.5x being great for engagements at Airsoft range, and the higher magnifications offering superb utility when it comes to spotting and identifying friend from foe. The dial is serrated around its circumference, making adjustments in wet weather easy thanks to the additional grip.

Behind the power ring, we can find the illumination dial which is offset at a 45° angle in order to keep the scope low profile and prevent snags. This dial offers 5 brightness settings for both the red and green illumination mode, and also serves as the battery compartment for the PCS M3. The cap of this turret can be unscrewed in order to install a CR2032 button cell to power the illumination function, though we recommend using a plastic tool rather than a screwdriver to avoid marring the finish. The illumination function lights up the entire mildot reticle, allowing you to make use of its built-in stadia marks set at 1 Mil increments to compensate for windage and the movement of the target, even in low light conditions.

At the very rear of the scope, surrounding the ocular/eye lens we can find the focus adjustment dial. This dial is adjustable without tools and can be rotated around the scope's circumference to adjust the scope to suit your eye and provide a sharp and clear view of the target. This dial also has serrations to allow its use with slippery hands and provide extra grip for gloved use.

The PCS M3 has an eye relief of approximately 4.5 inches (though this will vary slightly depending on your own eye), meaning you shouldn't have any issues using this scope with the essential eye protection on. The relatively long eye relief also allows the scope to be mounted in a more forward position to make the most of your peripheral vision whilst skirmishing. The included lens caps are intended to prevent dirt and debris from settling on the lenses and may provide some protection from Airsoft BBs though they are not designed for this, so if you are concerned about your scope taking a hit we suggest a proper polycarbonate lens protector.

If you want to avoid your sniper rifle or DMR setup looking a bit too "civvy", the PCS M3 scope would do the job well.
