Description
The Holo Weapon Sight Mod.7 is a red dot sight of classic holographic sight design, with a multi functional reticle providing two dots for precise shooting with an outer ring for rapid close-ranged work. The reticle is illuminated in red and can be adjusted to any of the 10 brightness settings using the "up/down arrow" buttons on the left side of the sight. To turn the sight on, press the "up arrow" button, to turn it off, hold both arrow buttons down. The "NV" button above the arrow keys can be used to change the reticle colour from Red to Green. The Holo Weapon Sight Mod.7, similarly to other holographic style sights, features an alloy protective hood surrounding the sight's delicate lenses and electronics, giving the sight some additional drop protection. This sight is the side control variant of the full size Holographic sight, with the battery compartment positioned at the front and designed for two of the widely available AA 1.5V battery (not included). The battery compartment is opened using the throw lever on the top of the sight which releases the battery cover, allowing the battery to be swapped without tools.
The sights adjustment screws are both present on the right side of the optic, recessed into its alloy protective hood, with the front screw controlling left-right adjustment (windage) and the rearmost screw providing elevation adjustment. The sight mounts to 20mm Picatinny rails using a knurled thumbscrew on the right side of the optic. This can be used without tools but can be tightened with a flat head screwdriver if necessary.
This optic would be perfect for someone looking for a quick to acquire sight for CQB that will be just as useful in woodland with its smaller precise dot within ring reticle. These holographic sights also look awesome on an AR15/M4 rifle, and line up perfectly with the AR15 front sight.
