- Full metal construction
- AEP - Powered by 7.4V LiPo batteries
- Full auto/Semi-auto fire modes
Whether you are a sniper in need of a compact backup with a high rate of fire or you need a pistol you can continue to use well into the icy months of winter, the Novritsch SSE18 Gen2 is a perfect fit. This Automatic Electric Pistol uses a compact LiPo battery as its power source, meaning immunity from the effects of cold weather and solid performance all year round.
Based on the EU18 design but loaded down with Novritsch enhancements, the SSE18 has the same slick custom aesthetic as its gas brethren, the SSP18. The slide has stylish serrations at the front and rear, the frame has enhanced ergonomics based on the real steel "Timberwolf" frame and the sighting setup pairs a red light-enhancing front sight with a fixed anti-glare rear sight; the perfect iron sight setup for a modern sidearm for use in all ambient lighting conditions.
On the inside, this ain't your usual AEP. Novritsch saw fit to enhance the internals to provide incredible range and accuracy from the relatively low-power AEP gearbox by adding an enhanced metal HOP-up arm. This extends the range of the SSE18 into the borderline implausible, and the inclusion of a new and improved Gen2 MOSFET provides the swift trigger response and whithering rate of fire needed to complete with upgraded GBB sidearms, and absolutely bury them in winter! Whether you need a seasonal sidearm or you are a sniper looking for a compact, full auto backup with impressive range, the SSE18 is the asset you need to get the job done.

Description
If you have ever drawn your sidearm in a winter skirmish and had it fail, you know the need for AEPs in Airsoft! Powered by a compact LiPo battery (not included) and equipped with a positively tiny miniaturised gearbox, these pistols will beat any GBB sidearm in cold weather and this one can even challenge them in summer!
The Novritsch SSE18 Gen2 is a vast step up from other AEPs, not just for its magnificent customised aesthetic. Inside, we are treated to a MOSFET to improve electrical efficiency to provide an intense rate of fire and snappy trigger response, and the Gen2 version is more efficient and reliable than ever before. The HOP-up unit is also upgraded with an alloy HOP-up arm, improving consistency and accuracy at long-range and allowing for heavier BBs to be used. If you have been holding out on an AEP, this one will definitely convince you!
Starting at the front, we can find an alloy thread protector which conceals 14mm CCW male barrel threads beneath. This means tracer units and suppressors are a go for this AEP which is a bit of a rarity. Well done Novritsch, it is nice to see an AEP that is ready to be fully customised straight out of the box!
The iron sights are located on the top of the slide, offering a light-enhancing front sight with a red insert paired with an anti-glare rear sight. These sights are a great choice by Novritsch, allowing for fast acquisition of the sights and improved low-light utility. The slide is reprofiled at the front to allow for easy reholstering and is also adorned with deep serrations at the front and rear. Being an AEP, the slide cannot be cocked, but the serrations complete the custom aesthetic of the SSE18 and match the style of its gas blowback brother, the SSP18.
The fire selector switch can be found on the rear left of the side, and offers two positions; semi-automatic and fully automatic. Its hexagonal shape is another Novritsch aesthetic change, ensuring the SSE18 stands out next to plain Jane EU series sidearms. Each fire mode is denoted with an engraved marking on the slide, with a single projectile for semi and a projectile with lines behind it for full auto. Unlike many full auto GBB pistols, the SSE18 AEP doesn't care how long you hold the trigger; cooldown simply isn't a thing for it. This is what makes AEPs great sidearms for snipers - you can dump the mag to cover your relocation with an unashamed heavy trigger finger while keeping your agility high thanks to their compact size!
The frame of the SSP-18 has been completely redesigned, featuring an extended beavertail at the rear of the grip, trigger guard undercuts and Novritsch's unique oblong texturing to provide optimal grip. The extended beavertail encourages an effective hand position and the trigger guard undercuts allow a higher-than-usual grip which assists with rapid snap shooting, making sweeping between targets far more intuitive and natural.
The front of the frame also features a 20mm Picatinny rail, ready for any tactical flashlight or laser aiming module you choose to mount, giving you all the options when it comes to kitting the SSE18 out with mission-essential equipment. You may also be able to squeeze a RunCam action camera here to record your victories, in true Novritsch style!
The magazine release is a low profile design, meaning you are far less likely to accidentally bump the magazine release when drawing the pistol and drop your magazine at a critical moment. Many of these enhancements mimic the "Timberwolf" style of EU series frame, well known in the real steel world for its vastly improved ergonomics when compared to a standard EU series frame.
The slide release catch is non-functional, as it is with all AEPs but is nonetheless included to complete the realistic looks. The same applies to the disassembly levers, they are present but are non-functional. To remove the slide and access the battery compartment you will need to press the rear plate of the slide and lift the slide free. Inside you will find a mini-Deans connector to which you mount your chosen battery. We recommend a 7.4V LiPo AEP battery with a micro-Deans connector, an example can be found here.
If sidearm use is a big part of your skirmishing experience and you don't want to give it up for winter, an AEP is the perfect thing and the Novritsch SSE18 is the best there is! With a threaded barrel, ready for a tracer, a 20mm frame rail just waiting for your tactical flashlight and enhanced ergonomics across the design, the SSE18 is uniquely equipped on the outside. When it comes to internals, its improved MOSFET and alloy HOP-up arm mean the high performance bar set by the original version is raised even further in this, the Gen2 version!

Joule Charts
Special Instructions
These table can be used as a reference to see if the BB weight you are using will be over acceptable Joulage limits at some Airsoft Sites in the UK. To check if the weight can be used chrono your weapon using the BB you intend to use, and then compare it to the chart.
FPS, Power and Joule Limits can vary from site to site, so please get in touch with where you're going to play with in advance to avoid disappointment.
Suggested limits are based on Joulage Limit rules used Halo Mill: Proving Grounds, with a 350fps limit for Automatic Replicas, 400fps for Semi-Automatic Replicas, and 500fps for Bolt Action Replicas.
Tap the tabs below to open the relevant chart for your replica.
This table should be used for reference, and cannot be used to check one weight against another, as the weight of the BB affects the power.
In order to check if the BB can be used with your replica chronograph using the weight you wish to use and then compare it against the table.
Every time you change weights you will need to re-chrono and check against the table. This is not a conversion chart between weights.
Suggested limits are based on Joulage Limit rules used Halo Mill: Proving Grounds, and is the equivalent of 350fps, using 0.20g BB resulting in an upper limit of 1.14j.
