- Full metal construction
- Ambidextrous charging handles
- 20mm Railed handguard & gas tube
If you're from the old school of Airsoft and a fan of Chris Costa and Travis Haley, this AK will get you excited! The Golden Eagle 6832C MAG-K Tactical AK-105 AEG Rifle is styled after the real steel "MAG-K", a custom AK rifle made by Travis and Chris back in the day, complete with a unique ambidextrous charging handle setup only found on this rifle and never put into mass production.
The Golden Eagle MAG-K boasts full metal construction with loads of steel, giving it the realistic weight and heft an authentic AK replica deserves. At the rear, we have a 6-position M4/AR-15 buffer tube with an LE stock pre-installed, though if you're replicating the real MAG-K build, we suggest swapping it out for a real steel CTR stock. Up front, we are equipped with a 20mm Picatinny railed handguard and replica "UltimAK" railed gas tube, ready for any 20mm Picatinny accessories you need to add, whether for aesthetics or functionality.
Whether you're specifically after a MAG-K replica or simply seeking a modernised tactical AK with a unique look, the Golden Eagle 6832C MAG-K Tactical AK-105 AEG Rifle should suit you perfectly!

Description
If you remember the dynamic days of Chris Costa and Travis Haley running rifles every Airsofter wanted to own, you'll recognise this beast! The Golden Eagle 6832C MAG-K Tactical AK-105 AEG Rifle is inspired by the "MAG-K" build put together by Chris and Travis almost a decade ago, featuring a unique custom ambidextrous charging handle and modernised externals bristling with 20mm Picatinny rails, ready for your mission essentials.
While it isn't a perfect clone of the original MAG-K, the most important element, its ambidextrous charging handles, are present, as is the 6-position M4/AR-15 buffer tube. Otherwise, this full metal AK platform features a steel receiver, top cover, fire selector switch and magazine release, with other parts made from realistically finished alloy and high quality polymer. If you've been waiting for a MAG-K to add to your collection, this is your best bet!
Starting at the front, we can find a highly detailed replica of the real steel AK-105 "trumpet" gas booster muzzle device, designed to maintain the legendary AK reliability in this more compact variant. The device looks fantastic on the 105, giving it a brutal and menacing front end for an extra intimidation factor. The muzzle device mounts to 14mm CCW male threads, meaning you can swap it out for an alternative if you have a preferred muzzle device. This will require pushing the steel detent pin into the front sight block, after which you can unscrew the device as usual.
To the rear of the trumpet muzzle device, we come to the front sight/gas block combo, a recognisable feature of the original AK-105 design poking out from amongst all the non-standard enhanced parts. This part is constructed from alloy and has a very realistic finish applied, simulating the anti-corrosion paint applied to real Russian AK rifles. The front sight can be adjusted for elevation using a front sight adjustment tool and is a big part of what gives the AK-105 its reputation as the best looking AK shape out there.
The gas tube sits between the gas block and the receiver, just above the barrel and is constructed from aluminium with a 20mm Picatinny rail machined into its upper surface, patterned after the real steel "UltimAK" gas tube. This rail is perfect for mounting a red dot sight but there is plenty of room in front for an offset flashlight mount or other 20mm Picatinny accessories. Mounting an RMR-style or T1-style micro-red dot here can give you a lower 1/3 co-witness with the iron sights, making for more intuitive aiming and a great combination of precision along with fast target acquisition.
The lower handguard is equipped with 20mm Picatinny rails at the 3, 6 and 9 o'clock positions, ready for your choice of 20mm Picatinny attachments. The advantage of a quad rail is its massive amount of rail space, allowing you to mount vertical or angled foregrips, tactical flashlights, lasers or anything else you need to get the job done in game.
Following the handguard, we come to the trunnion block which provides the mounting point for the classic AK tangent rear iron sight. The rear sight provides multiple graduations for adjustment and a fine rear sight notch to align with the front sight post. The authentic Russian Cyrillic markings on the sight add a touch of realism, and the sight itself can be adjusted by pressing the drums on either side of the sight notch and moving the notch back and forth on its base. The lever on the right side is the handguard disassembly lever and is functional, but due to the use of a railed gas tube, the Allen bolts holding the gas tube on will need to be removed before the lever comes into use.
As we reach the receiver we can find a standard AK-47/74 layout with a centrally positioned ambidextrous magazine release at the front of the trigger guard, a mock bolt carrier on the right side of the receiver and a 3-position fire selector on the right side. The bolt carrier features ambidextrous charging handles with the left side handle protruding through a slot machined into the top cover. This is the most iconic feature of the "MAG-K" setup and gives it a unique, modern twist not found on any other AK replica out there.
The bolt carrier of the MAG-K is not installed as you receive it; it is instead provided separately in the box. To install the bolt carrier, first, remove the receiver top cover. Next, drop the bolt carrier into the receiver at the rear and push it forward once it is indexed in its track in the lower receiver, being careful to avoid damaging the wiring. With this done, insert the guide rod into the hole on the right side of the carrier and push the guide rod assembly forward to index the button at the rear in the slot at the top rear of the receiver.
To access the HOP-up unit of the MAG-K AK-105, simply hold the charging handles to the rear to reveal the slider adjustable HOP-up unit. The slider unit is known as one of the best designs out there, and that is the reason this unit has not changed in design since the original Tokyo Marui AK-47 AEG. To increase the HOP-up effect, simply move the slider rearwards. Returning the slider to the front will reduce the HOP-up to its lowest setting. HOP-up allows you to adjust the amount of backspin applied to your BBs and set the MAG-K AEG up for different ammo weights, looking for the flattest possible trajectory.
The fire selector provides 3 modes of fire; safe, full auto and semi-auto, in that order. It is an AK after all! This was designed in to allow for fast selection of semi-auto with a quick sweep down of the selector, and isn't actually because the AK was designed for full auto, as is the common myth. Each fire selector position also features engraved Cyrillic markings, just like a real AK rifle.
The receiver top cover of the MAG-K AK-105 is also constructed from steel and is the appropriate design for the MAG-K, with a smooth upper surface like the original milled steel AK-47. The battery compartment is beneath the top cover, and to access it, simply press the button at the rear of the top cover and it should come straight off, revealing a mini-Tamiya battery connector. For the 6832C MAG-K, we recommend a 7.4V 1300mAh LiPo in AK Stick configuration.
The MAG-K pistol grip is a truly excellent design, especially considering it came from the era when ergonomics was not even a consideration when designing a rifle. It fits the hand perfectly and stays put, with linear groves to aid gripping and a shelf to prevent the rifle from slipping out of your hand. This grip was originally designed for the M249 SAW and has found its way into the modern era in several forms, used on the SIG SG55x series and several other modernized AK variants. An AK with a comfortable grip is a rarity indeed, nice work Golden Eagle for going the extra mile!
The trigger guard and magazine release can be found just ahead of the pistol grip, and are constructed from steel to provide solid magazine locking and ample rigidity. The magazine release is placed in the centre of the receiver and is accessible from either side of the AEG. A "rock and lock" retention system, the AK mag release requires you to first index the front "hook" on the magazine inside the receiver, then rock the magazine to engage the catch.
At the rear of the receiver, we come to the good old M4/AR-15 buffer tube, adding functionality to this AK platform its wood-clad cousins can only dream of. The buffer tube is constructed from alloy and provides 6 positions of adjustment for the pre-installed M4A1 "LE" stock, or any other M4/AR-15 AEG stock you choose to mount. The adjustment lever of the LE stock is on the bottom, with an alloy sling loop just behind, designed for "strap" slings. There is no sling point on the front of this AK, but thanks to its plethora of 20mm Picatinny rails you can easily add a sling point for 20mm rails to mount a two-point sling.
Inside, the Golden Eagle 6832C MAG-K is equipped with a Tokyo Marui Spec version 3 gearbox with a quick change spring system and 18:1 steel gears, ready for upgrades but competitive as it is. All parts are version 3 compatible and the motor is the "short shaft" type, housed in a motor cage to allow for easy height adjustment. The HOP-up parts and inner barrel are also TM spec, so upgrade fiends can have their way with the MAG-K!
If you're into the dynamic styling of the MAG-K or want to emulate tactical carbine legends, Chris Costa and Travis Haley, this is the AK for you. With a unique external build which cannot be made with aftermarket parts and solid, reliable internals with full aftermarket upgrade compatibility, the Golden Eagle 6832C MAG-K Tactical AK-105 AEG Rifle is ideal for tactical AK aficionados!

Joule Charts
Special Instructions
These table can be used as a reference to see if the BB weight you are using will be over acceptable Joulage limits at some Airsoft Sites in the UK. To check if the weight can be used chrono your weapon using the BB you intend to use, and then compare it to the chart.
FPS, Power and Joule Limits can vary from site to site, so please get in touch with where you're going to play with in advance to avoid disappointment.
Suggested limits are based on Joulage Limit rules used Halo Mill: Proving Grounds, with a 350fps limit for Automatic Replicas, 400fps for Semi-Automatic Replicas, and 500fps for Bolt Action Replicas.
Tap the tabs below to open the relevant chart for your replica.
This table should be used for reference, and cannot be used to check one weight against another, as the weight of the BB affects the power.
In order to check if the BB can be used with your replica chronograph using the weight you wish to use and then compare it against the table.
Every time you change weights you will need to re-chrono and check against the table. This is not a conversion chart between weights.
Suggested limits are based on Joulage Limit rules used Halo Mill: Proving Grounds, and is the equivalent of 350fps, using 0.20g BB resulting in an upper limit of 1.14j.
