- Shell ejecting fun!
- Authentic S.M.L.E replica

Description
Lee Enfield fans and those who love awesome platforms, this is certainly one to add to the collection! The Double Bell Lee Enfield is constructed entirely from metal and real wood, just like the real thing, and has a phenomenal amount of attention to detail paid in its construction. This Lee Enfield is a near-perfect replica of the wartime S.M.L.E variant, the Rifle No.1 MK.III which was supplied en mass to British, Canadian and other allied troops through the world wars.
This rifle's popularity is still going just as strong over one hundred years after its creation, being the favourite wartime primary for many people and often being held in a higher reputation than other rifles such as the Mosin Nagant and Kar98k. If you're struggling to decide which Lee Enfield you want in your arsenal just remember one thing, this one ejects spent shells and that is awesome!
Starting at the front of this superbly crafted rifle we find the muzzle, which is constructed from a strong alloy and is very hard-wearing. It provides three key functions, firstly, sitting atop you can find the front iron sight post. This is fixed and cannot be adjusted, but it is protected by a set of "wings" on either side to prevent any damage from rough skirmishers. The second function of the muzzle is the bayonet lug, which is present on the bottom of the muzzle cap and works together with the circular protrusion to provide mounting apparatus for a bayonet in the real firearm. We don't have a real bayonet to test if it fits, but we advise that if you do happen to own one, not to take it skirmishing! At the rearmost point on the muzzle cap, we have the first of the three sling swivels present on the Enfield, positioned on the bottom of the stock for an infantry-style sling.
Moving rearwards we come to the rifle's handguard and head shield which provide the military look which separates the Rifle No.1 MK.III from sporterized models and more modern bolt action platforms. These parts are constructed from real wood, and have a satin finish, providing an authentic sheen, but not a shine which would potentially give your position away to the enemy team.
At the rear of the handguard and heat shield, we can see the barrel band, which is constructed from alloy and has a second sling swivel attached to the bottom. This part serves to hold the handguard and heatshield onto the rifle and is a major part of old-school rifle "bedding"; a process under which the rifle is fitted into the stock in the optimum position with the perfect tightness to prevent any force from being applied to the barrel and affecting accuracy. To the rear of the barrel band, the head shield continues and meets the rear sight with a nice neat cutout. So much nicer than the cobbled-together solutions on the Mosin and KAR98k, the sight looks like it was a part of the design from day one, and not just added as an afterthought.
The fore-stock has the same satin-finished real wood as the handguard and heat shield and has precise cutouts for the magazine well and trigger guard. The magazine well is located right where you expect it and accepts only the Double Bell shell ejecting magazine. The magazine catch is found within the trigger guard and can be pressed upwards to remove the magazine. The trigger of this replica rifle perfectly matches the profile of the real Enfield, providing a comfortable curved trigger which cradles your finger perfectly and encourages a consistent trigger finger position for superior accuracy.
The bolt of this rifle is very unique compared to most modern-day sniper rifles. The pull is easy enough, but pushing the bolt back into place is a lot tougher, definitely, something you will need to get used to. Once you are used to it though you will be able to fire the S.M.L.E replica at a similarly rapid pace to the real thing, whilst mimicking the "cock on closing" feeling of the real rifle. The bolt pull is probably about 2/3 that of a VSR-10, meaning less movement if you are working the bolt from concealment and less likelihood of being spotted by the enemy team.
Upon firing and then reloading this Lee Enfield, a spent shell will tumble out the top of the cocking mechanism. This is incredibly satisfying and gives you the ultimate sense of realism. A wonderful feature for those looking for an authentic wartime loadout and experience, minimal ammunition, spent shells and a realistic cocking system. To load the magazine, you must first fill up the shells with one BB each, then load the shells into the magazine. Then the magazine can be inserted in the magazine well of the Lee Enfield and upon cocking the bolt, a shell will be loaded into the barrel and ready for shooting.
The trigger guard attaches to the "stock socket" of the Enfield, which is constructed from alloy and has the same antique finish as the rest of the metal parts. On the left side of the stock socket, we can find the manual safety catch, which can be pulled rearwards to meet the cutout in the stock to lock the trigger. This catch has ergonomic angles so it can be easily operated in any weather condition without risk of slipping and failing to lock the trigger.
Finally, we have made our way down this rather long rifle to reach the stock, which is constructed from real wood and looks incredible! The stock features the ever-recognisable Enfield shape, with a shelf to support the hand when firing and provide a comfortable gripping surface.
At the toe of the stock we can find the last sling swivel, allowing the rifle to be set up with a replica Lee Enfield sling and carried over the shoulder. The butt plate of this Enfield is constructed from alloy with the same black finish, sealing the deal and giving this Enfield an authentic look. Within the butt plate, we can find a storage compartment, intended for a cleaning kit in the real rifle but we're sure you can find your own use for it, such as a mid-skirmish cigar or snack!
So, whether you want the best rifle of WWII in your Airsoft arsenal for display or play, the Double Bell Lee Enfield No.1 MK.III S.M.L.E Bolt Action Sniper Rifle will do both jobs fantastically. The authentic feel of the Ares rifle, together with its flawless looks, realistc bolt system and shell ejecting capabilities make this the full package, fit for display in a museum but equally at home or on the battlefield exchanging BBs with uncivilised VSR users in a woodland skirmish!

Joule Charts
Special Instructions
These table can be used as a reference to see if the BB weight you are using will be over acceptable Joulage limits at some Airsoft Sites in the UK. To check if the weight can be used chrono your weapon using the BB you intend to use, and then compare it to the chart.
FPS, Power and Joule Limits can vary from site to site, so please get in touch with where you're going to play with in advance to avoid disappointment.
Suggested limits are based on Joulage Limit rules used Halo Mill: Proving Grounds, with a 350fps limit for Automatic Replicas, 400fps for Semi-Automatic Replicas, and 500fps for Bolt Action Replicas.
Tap the tabs below to open the relevant chart for your replica.
This table should be used for reference, and cannot be used to check one weight against another, as the weight of the BB affects the power.
In order to check if the BB can be used with your replica chronograph using the weight you wish to use and then compare it against the table.
Every time you change weights you will need to re-chrono and check against the table. This is not a conversion chart between weights.
Suggested limits are based on Joulage Limit rules used Halo Mill: Proving Grounds, and is the equivalent of 350fps, using 0.20g BB resulting in an upper limit of 1.14j.
