This Light Machine Gun from A&K is a faithful replica of the MK43 variant of the M60 family, which takes the gorgeous design and shortens up the overall length to make it more useful in closer situations, and to take some weight off the shoulders of the operator. It is constructed almost entirely from Alloy, with the exception being the pistol grip, handguard/foregrip and plating on the stock which are made from a high density Polymer that feels seriously tough. The total weight of this RIF comes to a back-breaking 6.8kg which makes this not for the faint-hearted , but can still be maneuvered around with relative ease, however should spend most of its skirmish on the integrated bipod if you're playing the role correctly.

The bipod at the front of the weapon is adjustable and folds away with ease to sit down the sides of the handguard and well out of the way of the foregrip, should you be about to enter a building. The length can be adjusted for extra height meaning you can get very comfortable in position. The ironsights are fully and quickly adjustable, which will be very useful to the gunner who knows how to use elevation adjustments in combo with their HOP unit to make further ranged shots. On the barrel assembly you will also find a carry handle which is there for the purposes of completing the look and should NOT be trusted to carry the fully weight of this thing. Underneath the flash hider is the Rate of Fire control adjustment, which will increase or decrease your Rate of Fire (BBs per minute), should you suddenly feel sorry for the enemy team and want to hit them with slightly less BBs every time.

The magazine is a typical M60 design which mounts to the side of the weapon via the canvas strap and feeds BBs into the RIF through the flexible feed tube which needs to be screwed into the receiver. There is a separate connector for the magazine to draw power, however it does this from your main battery, so no need for extra batteries. The magazine has the option of feeding BBs constantly, or whenever the trigger is pulled, and is set by flicking the switch on the underside of the magazine once the canvas cover is removed.

Internally this Airsoft replica is Version 2/3 compatible which makes for an up-gradable and easily repairable, and features some nice components like Steel Gears, an Aluminium cylinder, a Steel Toothed Piston, Spring Guide with bearings and 8mm bearings. The inner barrel is compatible with standard AEG barrels, and the motor supplied is an EG1300 High Performance.

The "Carry Handle" on this replica was never designed to be a carry handle. In the real world this handle is for making quick barrel changes without burning your hand. Please never attempt to carry the replica by the barrel change handle as it could break.

The externals of the replica are metal where they would be on the real world gun. This includes things like the outer barrel, handguard, and receiver. If a real world gun has polymer parts then the gun will still be marked as full metal externals, examples of this would be an M4, where the Stock and Pistol grip are always made from Polymer.
