Frequently purchased with this pistol...
Description
RAVEN are well known for providing some of the most cost-effective full metal GBB pistols on the market; offering superb performance and beautiful external quality to go with it. The EU18 follows a similar visual look to the EU17, with the same EU Gen.4 finger ridged frame with comfortable and effective dot texture but adding in a fire selector switch on the left side of the slide to offer a fully automatic fire mode. Where this EU18 stands out is its ultra eye-catching pink dyed frame, made from the usual high quality reinforced polymer.
Starting at the front we have a matt black alloy outer barrel with a 12mm CW female thread at the tip, allowing tracer units, suppressors and other muzzle devices to be added with a 12mm to 14mm CCW thread adapter. At the top of the slide, we can find our front and rear sights, which are standard EU-style white dot and white "U" sights. These sights are simple combat pistol sights, but their design is notable as the use of a dot and "U" configuration prevents the shooter from mixing up their sight dots under pressure, allowing an EU pistol with these sights to be used quickly, straight from the draw.
The rear of the slide features deep linear serrations on either side, providing plenty of purchase when racking the pistol, but remaining comfortable so you don't tear your hands up if you don't wear gloves. On the right side of the slide, we can see the mock ejection port, through which we get a glimpse of the outer barrel, offering some black-on-pink contrast and adding visual interest. To the rear of the ejection port, we can find a mock extractor which is a separate piece for added realism. This part does nothing in an Airsoft GBB pistol as there are no spent shells to extract, but is always nice to see it moulded as a separate piece to more faithfully simulate the original firearm.
At the rear of the slide on the left side, we can find the fire selector switch, a hallmark feature of an EU18 which enables its full-auto "party trick". This switch offers two positions; the semi-automatic position, indicated by a single engraved dot, and the fully-automatic position which is indicated by three dots. This lever sits comfortably within reach of the shooter's thumb for fast and easy mode selection and is a low profile design to minimise snags and prevent the switch from being moved inadvertently. Having the option of fully automatic means you can suppress the enemy team more effectively, and engage close range targets on the move with a greater hit probability. Obviously, nothing beats accurate semi-automatic fire, but that's no fun compared to unleashing pure hell by dumping your entire magazine in just a few seconds!
Moving to the frame, we can find a 20mm Picatinny pistol rail on the dust cover, allowing pistol lights, lasers and other 20mm Picatinny accessories to be mounted. On the rail itself, we can see the serial number plate, which is also finished in black. This plate doubles as a trigger lock safety, primarily for transportation, and can be pushed backwards to engage, or forwards to release. To the rear of the frame rail, we find the trigger guard, which in classic EU series style is shaped to aid the use of a "European grip" shooting style, with checkering on the front face for added grip.
Within the trigger guard, we find the EU18s two-stage trigger (where else?). This trigger works similarly to the real pistol, and cannot be pressed if the separate centre section is not also pressed. This serves to reduce the chances of an accidental discharge and means unless your finger is on the trigger, the pistol will not fire.
Above the trigger, we can see a small catch, which is mirrored on either side of the pistol. This is the disassembly catch and can be used to field strip the pistol for maintenance. To remove the slide of the pistol, simply remove the magazine, cock the slide so the hammer is back, pull down the disassembly catches on either side and push the slide forward to remove. With the slide removed, you can now access the EU18s adjustable HOP up unit, which can be used to apply backspin to your BBs, extending their range. The dial can be turned to apply additional HOP effect and can be tuned to your chosen BB weight to extend the effective range of the pistol.
The magazine release can be found on the pistol grip, on the left side, sitting comfortably beneath the shooter's thumb for fast access and a fast reload. The mag release is textured for additional grip, ensuring you never mess up your reloads. The magazine well of the Gen.4 EU series has a slight flare to it, allowing the magazine to be loaded easily. The grip of the pistol is textured on all surfaces; positively glueing the pistol to your hands, and eliminating the possibility of accidentally launching your pistol across the site when attempting a fast draw. Don't laugh, it happens! The EU18 also comes with several grip backstraps, which can be exchanged depending on the size of your hands for a comfortable trigger pull and optimum access to the controls.
If the everyday appearance of a standard EU18 is holding you back from enjoying some impressive recoil, frightening full-auto and practical ergonomics, you now have no excuse! Unleash your inner troll, and torment the enemy by sending them back to respawn with a pink full auto handgun, you know you want to!

Special Instructions
The RAVEN EU Series magazine release can sometimes require bedding in when new. If you find the magazine of your EU series pistol falls out or does not lock into place, we suggest the following steps:
- Tap the magazine on the baseplate firmly after insertion. This ensures the magazine catch engages with the cutout on the magazine to retain it properly. You can check whether this has worked or not by looking at the magazine release button. If the magazine is fully locked, the button should protrude on the left side and be flush with the grip on the right side.
- Bed the magazine catch in. This can be achieved by locking the slide back and inserting and removing the magazine repeatedly several times.

Joule Charts
Special Instructions
These table can be used as a reference to see if the BB weight you are using will be over acceptable Joulage limits at some Airsoft Sites in the UK. To check if the weight can be used chrono your weapon using the BB you intend to use, and then compare it to the chart.
FPS, Power and Joule Limits can vary from site to site, so please get in touch with where you're going to play with in advance to avoid disappointment.
Suggested limits are based on Joulage Limit rules used Halo Mill: Proving Grounds, with a 350fps limit for Automatic Replicas, 400fps for Semi-Automatic Replicas, and 500fps for Bolt Action Replicas.
Tap the tabs below to open the relevant chart for your replica.
This table should be used for reference, and cannot be used to check one weight against another, as the weight of the BB affects the power.
In order to check if the BB can be used with your replica chronograph using the weight you wish to use and then compare it against the table.
Every time you change weights you will need to re-chrono and check against the table. This is not a conversion chart between weights.
Suggested limits are based on Joulage Limit rules used Halo Mill: Proving Grounds, and is the equivalent of 350fps, using 0.20g BB resulting in an upper limit of 1.14j.
