KRYTAC Trident PDW Stock CCS2 Gen 2 for M4/AR15 AEG

The Krytac Trident PDW has been the envy of most other Airsoft AEG PDWs on the market for quite some time, and one of the main reasons is it's well thought out, super compact stock which still has room for a decent-sized battery inside. With the CCS2 stock, there is no need to search around for a teeny tiny battery, and then struggle to install it every time you skirmish since this stock has room for a 7.4V LiPo 1300 mAh stick battery (<10cm in length), the same type you would fit in a normal M4/AR15 buffer tube. The tube isn't quite as long as a normal buffer tube, so the 1300mAh only just fits, but there is potentially enough space for a custom battery or a different shaped battery.

Thankfully for those of us who like to build our own custom AEGs, Krytac has released the CCS2 stock as a separate part, meaning you can add it to your own M4/AR15 if you want a shorter stock for more effective CQB use or more discrete storage in smaller gun cases/bags.

The CCS2 stock provides 2 positions of adjustment, either fully collapsed or extended, mimicking the SMG-5 sliding buttstock in function. The shortest position places the butt plate approximately 14.5cm from the rear of the receiver, which is ideal for compressed shooting in extreme close quarters and allows the PDW to be carried more easily on a sling when used with other weapons. The extended position places the butt plate around 23cm from the receiver, which is the same length as a standard M4/AR15 crane stock at position 3 on a 6 position buffer tube, providing the ideal length for most users who make use of modern shooting stances, or those who wear body armour.

The adjustment lever for the CCS2 stock is found on the underside of the stock, and is accessible from either side. Above the adjustment lever we can find a sling point, which is constructed from steel and is ideally shaped for a "hook" style single point sling. This sling point is installed on the left side of the stock by default, but can be removed and remounted on the left for all the southpaws out there. The sliding stock mechanism can also be removed by unscrewing the Allen screws on either side if you want the "AR pistol" look with just a simple buffer tube to store your battery.

To access the battery compartment, you will first need to extend the stock. With the stock extended, you will see a steel button finished in gunmetal grey with a Krytac logo engraved into its surface. This button provides access to the battery compartment, and simply requires pushing downwards, after which you can hinge the battery door open. This is one of the major improvements in the CCS2 over the original Krytac PDW stock and provides ultra-secure battery storage with no chance of losing your battery cap in the field.
