The 70rnd magazine is quite a reduction from the 120rnd magazine that comes with the SSR9. However, this magazine's short design allows you to play closer to the ground and cover, allowing you to be less at risk of taking hits while delivering them to the enemy team!

Loading BBs can be done through the feed lips at the top, or by dragging the follower on the front down and loading through the widened channel at the bottom. A speed loader makes this much easier but isn't required. Being the V1 version, this mag is not compatible with the Novritsch CNC baseplates and uses a single-stage valve.
