Airsoft Brands: Who is Specna Arms?

The Specna Arms FLEX™ line was designed with the objective of outdoing their renowned CORE™ line in the lightweight, low-cost AEG game. Specna has maintained the robust, reliable and simple internals that made the CORE™ series such impressive and dependable platforms, and has replaced the alloy handguards of the CORE™ AEGs with the same rock solid fibre-reinforced polymer used in its receiver to further reduce the overall weight of the rifle and increase its resistance to scratches.

An AEG of the FLEX™ series would be a great choice for newer players of less physical strength who may want to upgrade their gun in the future with metal parts. The outer barrel of the FLEX AEGs retains its alloy construction to help protect the inner barrel and keep it straight and true in the face of any bumps or scrapes, and its polymer handguard helps avoid the exterior of the gun from looking scruffy after inevitable skirmish wear. 

The CORE™ series of the Specna Arms family of AEGs offers affordability and quality in a robust package, coupled with high-quality internal parts the likes of which would need to be added as aftermarket upgrades a few years prior. Similarly to the FLEX™ series, Specna's CORE™ line AEGs all include 6.03mm tightbore inner barrels and modern rotary HOP-up units with a simple yet rock solid gearbox with little to go wrong, and full compatibility with aftermarket upgrades. 

Specna's CORE™ series are available either as the standard model, or a version with the Gate X-ASR MOSFET pre-installed. The X-ASR protects the trigger contacts from corrosion, prevents overheating and increases trigger response and rate of fire by making the whole AEG more electrically efficient. CORE™ AEGs are a great choice for beginners and veteran skirmishers alike and are available in a plethora of styles and configurations to suit any aesthetic leaning. 

The SA-G series are Specna Arms' AR36 replica line, offering a cost-effective entry point to Airsoft skirmishing with pre-upgraded internals in a range of different lengths and configurations replicating the real AR36 used by the German Bundeswehr and the UK Armed Police. The rifles of the SA-G series make use of microswitch triggers which are more robust over long term use than traditional copper trigger contacts, and like the other Specna Arms AEGs, come with a 6.03mm tightbore inner barrel. 

What makes the SA-G series unique amongst Specna's lineup is its electric blowback function which adds realism by moving the mock bolt carrier and charging handle back and forth to simulate the way the real AR36 operates. This makes the SA-G series a lot of fun to shoot, and although the recoil doesn't approach the force of the real deal, it gives some nice feedback and a satisfying "clack clack clack" noise which drowns out the motor and gearbox noise for a more immersive firing experience.

The SA-J series are all Kalashnikov AK rifle variants, offering a selection of modern and retro AK74 rifles with steel receivers and outer barrels, giving them a hefty weight and a very realistic feel. Like other Specna Arms replicas, the SA-J series all come with 6.03mm tightbore inner barrels and a quick change spring system which allows you to change the spring and adjust the power of the AEG to suit your local skirmish site limits without having to disassemble the gearbox completely. 

Inside the SA-J series is Specna Arms' ORION™ reinforced version 3 gearbox, which is well-equipped on the inside and runs flawlessly. Like other EDGE™ series replicas, particular attention has been paid inside the ORION™ to ensure it lasts a lifetime of high performance, including the installation of double O-ring equipped air seal parts, an aluminium piston head and a ball bearing equipped spring guide to reduce stress on the gearbox shell. 

The Specna Arms ONE™ series is the first line of releases from Specna and has been incrementally improved over the years to keep pace with more recent releases. The ONE™ series offers an extremely broad range of models in a multitude of colour options and styles ranging from metallic red and black competition-style AEGs to grenade launcher equipped battlefield dominators!

AEGs of the ONE™ series are M4/AR15 variants and are all equipped with a reinforced version 2 gearbox. Depending on the model, ONE™ series replicas either come with the Enter & Convert™ or SAEC™ quick change spring system, meaning tuning is far easier than non quick change spring replicas. The externals of the ONE™ series AEGs are all "full metal", meaning the proportions of metal and polymer in their construction perfectly matches the real thing, resulting in a hefty and realistic feel. The metal parts are also treated to a fantastic powder-coated finish, which is one of the things that sets these AEGs apart from other full metal replica M4 rifles. 

While Specna's primary focus is on AEG assault rifles, they also offer a range of beginner sniper rifles which are patterned after the M40A3 and SV-98 sniper rifles. These rifles use a spring powered bolt action mechanism and need to be cocked before each shot, but fire at a higher power level than automatic Airsoft guns to appropriately mimic a real sniper rifle, with a minimum engagement distance enforced by skirmish site marshalls for safety reasons. 

The SA-S series are available in a range of different colour options and can be purchased either as a set with a bipod and scope or as the rifle alone for those who may have their own preference when it comes to accessories. As an entry point into Airsoft sniping the SA-S series is one of the best options out there, providing realistic looks and pre-upgraded internals straight out of the box for an almost unbelievable price. 

The SA-E EDGE™ series are Specna Arms' intermediate series of M4/AR15 AEGs, equipped with the Gate X-ASR MOSFET and available in a variety of styles, all with full metal construction. The EDGE™ series also boasts the ORION™ reinforced gearbox and a 6.03mm tightbore inner barrel with a rotary HOP-up unit, offering higher performance replicas with reinforced parts for regular skirmishers who use their AEGs frequently. 

The EDGE™ series make use of Specna Arms' latest surface finish in a process called Nano coating. This coating is similar to their powder coating but considerably thinner with the aim of providing finer surface details and matching real M4/AR15s more closely. Many EDGE™ series replicas have official licencing from real firearms manufacturers such as Rock River Arms, Daniel Defense and Strike Industries, and all EDGE™ replicas have engraved markings instead of the laser etched markings on the ONE™ series. 

The EDGE™ 2.0 series is Specna Arms' latest line of upgraded AEGs and is built with the same fantastic ORION™ gearbox used in the original EDGE series but is now equipped with a Gate ASTER, offering a multitude of functions and compatibility with the Gate Control Station app. The innovative optical sensors in the ASTER keep the gearbox internals perfectly timed, protect the battery and internal circuitry and open up a world of possibilities when it comes to programming the AEG for more experienced skirmishers. 

All EDGE™ 2.0 AEGs have a high torque motor pre-installed and make use of the Specna Arms ESA2™ quick change spring system, making spring changes easier and faster than ever before. Like the original EDGE™ series, the EDGE™ 2.0 come with the proprietary Specna Arms "nanocoating" finish on the receiver, and a variety of licenced real steel trademarks.
