If you want to improve your AEGs accuracy, range and consistency, a barrel upgrade is a great start! The black HOP-up rubber is designed for 295-360 FPS builds, being made from 60-degree hardness rubber and the purple 70-degree rubber is intended for high FPS DMR builds hitting out at 360-460 FPS on a 0.2g BB. If you're the techy type with a build on the go at all times, the PTS MEC HOP-Up Bucking for AEGs; Twin Pack is a great set to have in the toolbox!

If you have had a gearbox failure and you don't fancy opening it up, the CYMA Complete Version 2 Gearbox w/High Torque Motor & ETU is a pre-upgraded and pre-wired replacement which can be installed with minimal effort and no need to solder or open the gearbox shell. As always, we recommend you have some technical experience before installing a new gearbox, but when it comes to Airsoft upgrades this is about as easy as they get.

If you use heavy BBs and really want to send 'em, the Maple Leaf MR HOP Bucking for AEG belongs in your build! The MR HOP-up Bucking offers a wider and longer “R-HOP” style contact patch for increased HOP-up effect and extended range with heavy BBs. The MR HOP also uses a shield-shaped groove around the contact patch to allow it to stretch and add to the strong HOP-up effect along with an air seal improving C-ring which ensures the bucking is firmly fitted to the barrel and unable to slip or rotate.

MR stands for “Maximum Range”, a design based on home-brewed R-HOP buckings, intended to prioritise range over grouping size and is best used paired with a Maple Leaf OMEGA or OHM HOP-up nub. Compatibility-wise, the MR HOP is designed to fit most Airsoft AEGs but as always, a certain level of expertise and tuning will be required for installation. A replacement or upgrade air nozzle for AEG M4s that require a nozzle length of 21.2mm.

Standard guides do not feature ball bearings, and these are included in this product because they reduce stress on the spring by letting it rotate freely. When upgrading your gearbox bearing spring guides should always be considered because they will improve the life-span of a spring by reducing sideways stresses.

If you're looking for the cheapest and easiest way to convert your M4/AR-15 AEG to HPA, you just found it! The Ares Drop-in HPA Engine Conversion Set for M4/AR-15 V2 Gearbox is a complete set with a V2 gearbox shell, HPA engine and EFCS module all pre-built, saving you hassle sourcing the right parts while saving you a few quid as a bonus!

This HPA Engine Gearbox is designed as a drop-in replacement for standard M4/AR-15 AEG Version 2 gearboxes but it may need alignment and tuning to fit certain receivers and HOP-up units. To power the pre-installed EFCS, an 11.1V LiPo battery with an XT30 battery connector is required and the air line fitting is US spec, meaning it will only accept US-type air lines and won't work with EU-type lines. For those as yet uninitiated future HPA players; this set does not include an air line, regulator or air bottle and you will need these to get into the HPA game!
