Description
If you've been waiting for a milsim-friendly replica of the PPK-20 SMG, WELL PRO has come through! The WE06-GM PPK-20 Compact GBB SMG boasts full metal construction with an authentic stamped steel receiver and top cover, giving it the heft and realistic cold feeling a proper replica needs!
Inside, this GBB is based around the Tokyo Marui AKM internal system, providing superb efficiency with one of the most modern GBB internal systems around. The inner barrel is a 6.04mm tightbore, enhancing gas efficiency and providing excellent accuracy potential despite the bite-sized exterior. To facilitate FPS tuning, the nozzle is equipped with an NPAS style adjustable valve, allowing you adjust your FPS between 100 and 300 using 0.20g BBs and standard-pressure green gas.
Supplied in a fantastic quality hard rifle case equipped with wave foam, the PPK-20 GBB looks the absolute bee's knees and is a fantastic shooter, even in relatively cold weather. If you're looking for a real head turner of a GBB SMG, the WELL PRO WE06-GM PPK-20 Compact GBB SMG is exactly that!
Starting at the front, we can find a birdcage-style PPK-20 flash hider constructed from steel mounted to 14mm CCW male barrel threads. The aggressive, squat look of this flash hider really suits the CQB styling of the PPK-20 Compact but can be replaced with a tracer unit or suppressor should the mission require it. The flash hider is retained via a grub screw, so make sure you remove this before attempting to unscrew the flash hider. If you're looking for the ideal tracer unit for the PPK-20, check out the 5KU KP-9 Spitfire!
Next up, we reach the handguard which is an M-LOK/20mm Picatinny hybrid design with a combination of M-LOK negative space attachment slots at the 3 and 9 o'clock positions and 20mm Picatinny rails at the top and bottom. This means you are ready to mount any 20mm Picatinny vertical or angled foregrip to improve handling with plenty of room on each side to add M-LOK rail covers, flashlight mounts or other mission-essential equipment. The handguard is also comfortably shaped with gripping texture on the flanks, meaning if you don't want to add rail covers you will still have plenty of traction when steering the platform between targets.
Moving rearwards, we come to the receiver which is constructed from steel in this GBB PPK-20, with detailed markings and the cold, realistic feel of authentic stamped steel. The layout looks familiar at a glance but is considerably enhanced, following the AK shape while adding an ambidextrous fire selector positioned just above the pistol grip to bring this AK-derived platform into line with modern shooting doctrine. On the right side, you will see a steel plate which replaces the original AK fire selector and links to a more modern selector switch via a cam mechanism.
This new selector is present on each side, offering 3 modes of fire; Safe, semi-auto and full auto, all denoted with recessed Cyrillic markings. Unlike your standard AK, the PPK-20 has the standard order of fire modes, meaning a short throw from safe to semi-auto with full auto in the final position.
The improvements don't end here either, the pistol grip installed on the PPK-20 Compact is the latest design used on the most recent variants of the AK-12 assault rifle. The grip is set at a more vertical angle than the standard for improved comfort and reduced wrist fatigue when shooting with the stock fully collapsed and features a built-in enlarged trigger guard for easy access to the trigger when wearing gloves. With stylish linear texture on each side, this grip both suits the ultra-modern aesthetic of the platform and feels fantastic; a considerable step up from the standard AK grip!
Ahead of the grip, we can find the built-in magazine well extension designed for WE06-GM magazines which are styled to match the real PPK-20 polymer mag, complete with 9x19 markings. The magwell includes the standard centrally positioned AK paddle magazine release, an aspect of the original AK design which doesn't need changing. The mag release is easy to reach for both left and right-handed shooters, prominent enough to find but low profile enough to avoid snags and functional with the iconic AK "mag flip" emergency reload, though we don't recommend the mag flip with hefty GBB mags. As with most AKs, the mag release is constructed from steel, guaranteeing reliable locking in the long term.
The final receiver feature to discuss is its full length 20mm Picatinny rail affixed to the steel top cover, allowing red dot sights and scopes to be mounted easily, with no additional parts needed. This is a marked improvement over standard AKs and allows you to make use of modern Western optics as many Spetsnaz operators do in the modern era. The rail is also weight-reduced along the centreline and thanks to its AK-12 style top cover retention, provides a reliable zero for any optics you have mounted.
At the rear of the receiver rail, we can find the rear iron sight which is an aperture-style sight mounted on an adjustable tangent-style base. The sight can be adjusted for elevation by rotating the adjustment dial beneath the aperture, and the front sight is also adjustable using an AK sight adjustment tool. If you need all the rail space for your optics, you can remove the rear sight easily as it mounts to the receiver rail itself.
The adjustable HOP-up of the WE06-GM is very well hidden, designed to maximise realism. The adjustment dial takes the form of a screw on the right side of the receiver; on the trunnion block, just in front of the charging handle. The screw can be adjusted using an Allen key or the included tool and the direction of adjustment is helpfully indicated on the exterior of the screw. The HOP-up allows you to adjust the trajectory of your BB for different BB weights by applying backspin, seeking the flattest possible trajectory.
Bringing up the rear, we are treated to one of the latest advanced Russian stock designs featured on the AM-17 Assault rifle. The stock is constructed from high density polymer with a grippy serrated rubber butt plate and can be adjusted into 6 different lengths of pull so you can adjust it to suit your shooting stance, body type and loadout. Adjusting the stock is as simple as pushing the textured tab in the toe of the stock through from the left and sliding the stock out into your chosen position.
As one might expect with an AK-derived design, the stock can also be folded to the side for storage, transportation and close-quarters use. To fold the stock, simply press the prominent textured button on the top of the stock where it meets the receiver and the stock can folded to the right side of the SMG where it will lock in place. Deploying the stock from the folded position is even simpler; grab it, pull it away and slap it into place! The stock adjustment of the AM-17 stock is leaps and bounds ahead of the usual AK steel skeleton folding stock when it comes to ergonomics, tying in nicely with the overall cutting-edge design of the PPK-20 Compact.
As far as performance is concerned, we were very impressed with the efficiency of the WE06-GM. Between shots, FPS deviation is minimal compared to other GBBRs and its pre-installed 6.04mm tightbore inner barrel gives it respectable long-range performance despite its compact nature.
The realistically sized bolt carrier is equipped with an NPAS adjustable nozzle to allow FPS tuning between 100 and 300 FPS using 0.2g BBs and standard green gas. While WELL PRO may be new to the gas blowback game, the internals of the WE06-GM have been wisely based on the Tokyo Marui AKM GBBR, meaning superb efficiency and plenty of potential upgrade parts.
If you love the looks of the latest Russian SMG but insist on the most realistic experience possible, the WE06-GM was made with you in mind! While it might not be the speed demon the DSG AEG Version is, the WELL PRO WE06-GM PPK-20 Compact GBB SMG offers incredible recoil and realism; the perfect primary for a Milsim-friendly FSB or Spetsnaz loadout!

Special Instructions
This is a Gas Blowback Rifle. GBBRs require maintenance and careful handling and we do not recommend them for new skirmishers. Things to watch out for if this is your first GBBR:
- The HOP-up adjuster for the WE06-GM is on the right side of the receiver just in front of the charging handle, taking the form of an Allen screw.
- When the magazine runs dry, you will experience what is known as the "dead man's click". This is by design, intended to replace what happens when a real AK/PPK-20 runs dry. To recommence shooting, refill your mag with BBs and you're ready to rock!
- GBBRs need to be cocked before the first shot, just like a GBB pistol. It is important that you do not double load a GBBR as this can break the nozzle. We recommend clearing the chamber of BBs with a cleaning rod in the event that you finish firing mid-magazine..
- GBBRs generally use higher pressure gas than GBB pistols due to the extra weight of the bolt. We recommend Green Gas (NUPROL 2.0, VORSK V6, ASG Ultraair) for general use and Red Gas (NUPROL 3.0, VORSK V8) for cold weather use.
- The faster you shoot a GBBR, the less accurate it will be. This is due to pressure variance as the gas reservoir cools down. Full auto is basically for fun, and these rifles run far better when used in semi-auto mode.
- Like a GBB pistol, GBBR magazines require maintenance. We recommend leaving a small amount of gas inside the magazine when stored, and not storing the magazines in a cold or damp environment. Magazine seals and valves will need lubrication and to be kept clear of dust and debris.

Joule Charts
Special Instructions
These table can be used as a reference to see if the BB weight you are using will be over acceptable Joulage limits at some Airsoft Sites in the UK. To check if the weight can be used chrono your weapon using the BB you intend to use, and then compare it to the chart.
FPS, Power and Joule Limits can vary from site to site, so please get in touch with where you're going to play with in advance to avoid disappointment.
Suggested limits are based on Joulage Limit rules used Halo Mill: Proving Grounds, with a 350fps limit for Automatic Replicas, 400fps for Semi-Automatic Replicas, and 500fps for Bolt Action Replicas.
Tap the tabs below to open the relevant chart for your replica.
This table should be used for reference, and cannot be used to check one weight against another, as the weight of the BB affects the power.
In order to check if the BB can be used with your replica chronograph using the weight you wish to use and then compare it against the table.
Every time you change weights you will need to re-chrono and check against the table. This is not a conversion chart between weights.
Suggested limits are based on Joulage Limit rules used Halo Mill: Proving Grounds, and is the equivalent of 350fps, using 0.20g BB resulting in an upper limit of 1.14j.
