VORSK VX-14 GBB Pistol

Now here is a gas pistol that is truly worth singing praises about. The Vorsk VX-14 is absolutely stacked with cutting edge features that brings together features usually found on Hi-Capa and 1911/MEU airsoft replicas. This combines the best of both worlds as the VX-14 will snugly fit in 1911 holsters, while using the double stacked powerhouse that is the Hi-Capa magazine, culminating in an incredibly well constructed and high performance build, delivering BBs downrange with an incredibly satisfying recoil experience. But oh the features don't end there, so lets get into it, shall we?

Beginning with the slide, as mentioned earlier, it is that of the iconic 1911 design, but with some minor modern tweaks. We can se that at the front and back of the slide are diagonal cut grooves, which not only give the pistol a more modern look, but also aid in that sweet racking action when loading, providing additional grip with or without gloves.

At the top of the slide, we have the light-enhancing open ironsights, sporting green fibre optics that glow in lower light conditions. These allow you to pick off targets that much easier and especially if you prefer a stealthier style of gameplay in low light, used in tandem with the included suppressor (more on that later).

Keeping in line with modern pistols, the VX-14 features a 2-inch long 20mm RIS rail, to which can be attached a whole host of aftermarket tactical devices such as lasers lights and torches etc. With 20mm being the de facto standard for tactical attachments, you have a huge amount of choice to wield this pistol and shape it to your playstyle or the mission at hand.

Of course the real ace up the VX-14s sleeve that it has over other pistols at this price point is the included suppressor and barrel extension. The suppressor itself is inkeeping with the rest of the pistols' aesthetics, sporting sleek cut grooves and dots for some ultra-modern styling. The suppressor is attached to the outer barrel via 14mm CCW thread with the very front panel of the suppressor being able to be removed to allow you to fill the suppressor with some, if you fancy reducing your decibels even further. But the real killer addition to the VX-14 is the inner barrel extension, which is separate to the suppressor. This is important as extending the inner barrel will increase the FPS and while this will often push the FPS over many sites limits in warmer conditions, in colder winter climates this is an absolute boon, giving you some serious range and performance during those colder missions. The VX-14 was tested in room temperature conditions, shooting at roughly 290 FPS without the barrel extension and around 370 FPS with the extension, but as previously mentioned, this will change, depending on the temperature.

Not only is the inclusion of an inner barrel extension and suppressor borderline ludicrous at this price point, but the fact that they are kept separate is all the sweet, giving you the option of installing one and not the other. Meaning that if it's a warm day and you want to use your suppressor, no worries! Just attach the suppressor and not the inner barrel, simple!

The VX-14 continues in its sleek modern aesthetics with a skeletonised trigger and hammer. Even if only by a small amount, it helps to keep the weight of the pistol and let's be honest, looks damn cool! Unique to Vorsk are the textured side panels which we describe as V-textured (V for Vorsk right?). These panels aid in grippage, allowing the pistol to be easily drawn and wielded with or without gloves. The panels, while constructed from high density polymer, have a finish which can only be described as being ever so slightly rubbery, meaning that they feel absolutely glorious when held with bare hands. Silky smooth - the pistol has to be held to be believed! The magazine release matches the side panels to a tee, in that it sports the same V-shaped pattern as the side panels. The V patterns tell us that Vorsk are very happy with the pistol they've created and we 100% agree.

So if you're looking for a gas blowback pistol with some absolutely cutting-edge killer features, this should be an easy consideration. With a mostly 1911 form factor, but with the ability to wield beastly Hi-Capa mags, this pistol features sleek and modern stylings with a load of features, such as light enhancing sights, 20mm pistol rail and easy grip furniture.
