- Full metal construction
- 3 or 6 BBs per shot
- The perfect shotgun sidearm!
If you're a fast moving CQB specialist or fancy running a shotgun as a sidearm, the Tokyo Marui M870 Breacher Gas Airsoft Shotgun has your name on it! A close replica of the real steel M870 Breacher configuration issued to the US Army, this full metal pump-action shotgun is a foe to fear in CQB, offering 3 or 6 BBs per shot and a very fast action; far easier to cock than comparable spring shotguns, especially at speed!
Inside, the TM M870 Breacher is equipped with a fixed HOP-up optimised for 0.25g BBs. This may limit your range but remember, this is a shotgun! Its best use is up close and personal, taking pure advantage of its realistic shotgun-style spread to deal with sudden threats and moving targets. The Breacher is powered by standard green gas stored in a removable gas tank, keeping the overall setup compact and allowing you to carry multiple tanks in standard pistol mag pouches for long-duration operations. If you need something to keep handy for close encounters, you can't ask for better than the Tokyo Marui M870 Breacher Gas Airsoft Shotgun!

Description
If you dream of running a compact shotgun as a sidearm, the Tokyo Marui M870 Breacher Gas Airsoft Shotgun is calling your name! Based on the Breacher variants of the legendary M870 issued to the US Army, this bite-sized beast packs a king-sized punch with its 3 or 6 BB per shot firing modes and hefty full metal build!
Starting at the front, we can see the menacing 12-gauge style bore of the M870 Breacher; an intimidating prospect to face in CQB! The barrel tapers towards the tip in classic shotgun style and features realistic calibre markings on the left side; reading 12GA. 2 ¾” OR 3”. This refers to the real M870’s ability to chamber both standard 2 and ¾ inch shells along with 3-inch magnum shells, one of the enviable characteristics which make real shotguns such versatile platforms.
Below the barrel, we have the mock magazine tube which is where the shells are stored in a real pump action shotgun. In Airsoft form, this tube is only for aesthetics but like the outer barrel, is constructed from alloy for a realistic feel. At the front, we can see the authentically replicated Breacher-style front cap which is serrated for easy removal.
The pump grip rides around the mock magazine tube, connected to the alloy pump arms which themselves connect to the action through the front of the receiver. An enhanced design made specifically for the real steel M870 Breaching Shotguns supplied to the US Military, the grip is ergonomically profiled similar to “spud grips”, offering improved traction and filling out the hand for optimal control when pumping rapidly. At the front, we have a built-in hand stop to prevent sliding off the pump; an essential attribute of short-barreled shotguns to avoid disastrous consequences!
Moving rearwards, we come to the alloy receiver which is relatively featureless, just like the real thing. On the right side, we can find the mock ejection port, showcasing a detailed mock bolt carrier with a mock extractor stamped in. Rack the pump back to reveal the load selector switch, offering either 3 BBs or 6 BBs per shot. Using the 3 BB mode will slightly extend range and FPS while the 6 BB mode will reduce FPS and widen the spread; perfect for engaging moving targets.
On the bottom of the receiver, we can find the controls of the M870 breacher. These take the form of the shell door release, located on the left side of the trigger guard and the ambidextrous push-through safety catch, located at the rear of the trigger guard. The shell door release is serrated for optimal gripping qualities and when pressed, will open the shell port door and eject your shell, ready for a rapid reload!
The safety catch is simple but functional, locking the trigger when the catch protrudes at the right side, revealing a white ring around its circumference. When the Breacher is hot, the safety catch will protrude on the left, revealing a surrounding red ring. Being so close to the trigger and functional from either side makes the safety catch easy and fast to use; just what a CQB menace like the M870 Breacher needs!
Up top, we are treated to a 20mm Picatinny rail, a nice feature given the lack of iron sights on the M870 Breacher. The rail can be used to mount a red dot sight for fast target acquisition or a scope if you’re a certified Airsoft troll! We recommend the T-Eagle Miniature Red Dot Sight to keep the build lightweight and dynamic, though its 3 or 6 BB fire modes mean instinct aiming is always effective!
At the rear, we come to the pistol grip which is a revolver-style grip designed for recoil control when shooting locks and hinges in the real steel. The grip is comfortable to wield and features checkering on either side for superb gripping qualities. At the top of the grip module, we are treated to a Harris-style sling/bipod lug; while you may not be mounting a bipod here, a single-point sling is the ideal addition to a shotgun designed to be a secondary weapon. You have the choice of adding a Harris-style sling swivel, using a reinforced keyring or loop of paracord to mount your sling, though we recommend paracord to prevent battle rattle.
The removable gas tank is stored inside the pistol grip, functioning similarly to a gas pistol magazine and removable via the heel magazine release style catch. With the gas tank removed, you’ll find the fill valve on the top. We recommend standard pressure green gas in warm weather and red gas for sub 10° ambient temperatures.
If you've ever wanted to run a heavy loadout with a shotgun on your back for close encounters, the Tokyo Marui M870 Breacher Gas Airsoft Shotgun is the perfect thing. A fantastic quality full metal build with 3 or 6 BBs per trigger pull and a ferocious yet modern aesthetic, this little monster is half the reason shotguns are so feared on CQB sites!

Joule Charts
Special Instructions
These table can be used as a reference to see if the BB weight you are using will be over acceptable Joulage limits at some Airsoft Sites in the UK. To check if the weight can be used chrono your weapon using the BB you intend to use, and then compare it to the chart.
FPS, Power and Joule Limits can vary from site to site, so please get in touch with where you're going to play with in advance to avoid disappointment.
Suggested limits are based on Joulage Limit rules used Halo Mill: Proving Grounds, with a 350fps limit for Automatic Replicas, 400fps for Semi-Automatic Replicas, and 500fps for Bolt Action Replicas.
Tap the tabs below to open the relevant chart for your replica.
This table should be used for reference, and cannot be used to check one weight against another, as the weight of the BB affects the power.
In order to check if the BB can be used with your replica chronograph using the weight you wish to use and then compare it against the table.
Every time you change weights you will need to re-chrono and check against the table. This is not a conversion chart between weights.
Suggested limits are based on Joulage Limit rules used Halo Mill: Proving Grounds, and is the equivalent of 350fps, using 0.20g BB resulting in an upper limit of 1.14j.
