If you are rocking a KAR98k but you want some modern glass, this is a great way to get the job done! The 20mm Picatinny rail mount from Double Bell is designed to fit to their KAR98K sniper rifle and provide a 20mm rail above the receiver, allowing you to mount modern optical sights. The rail mounts into the rear sight mounting apparatus and provides you with 17 slots of 20mm rail, plenty to mount whatever you like. We advise against adding a PEQ, flashlight and T1 but it's your gun and there is enough space, just be ready to run if a reenactor spots you!

Description
So, why would you want modern accessory rails on your historical bolt action rifle? The most obvious reason is the severe lack of optical sights available for the KAR98K, meaning if you want to do some retro sniping you are stuck with a limited number of options, none of which measure up to more modern optics. The 20mm Picatinny Rail Mount from Double Bell solves this issue, allowing you to mount any optical sight which fits 20mm Picatinny rail, which is practically all of them.
If you want to stay faithful to real steel WWII setups you can still do that with this mount, but it will involve craftily disguising your shiny modern optic and precisely machined rail with a hessian wrap. If you do it right, the modern nature of this mount will not be apparent other than on close inspection, which should avoid upsetting those with an eye for historical details.
The rail is constructed from aluminium and is precisely machined, providing an effective and wobble-free base for your optical sight which is 100% in spec. To mount this scope rail you will need to remove your rear sight, but you won't be needing that when you have a modern optic on your old-school cool bolty!
