Description

Designed by Canadian-American John Garand in the 1930s to replace the venerable Springfield 03 bolt action rifle, by the time the Garand was adopted into service with the US Army, Navy and Marine Corps (as 'U.S. Rifle, .30 Calibre, M1') in 1937, it was the first semi-automatic rifle to see widespread use in the world. Seeing use through WW2 and Korea, the M1 was officially retired in 1957 with the arrival of the 7.62mm M14, however many remained in Army and Marine service until 1965 when the replacement was completed, and the Navy retained them well into the 1980s. As a design of the 1930s, A&K have accurately replicated the look and feel of the real M1; this is the closest you can get without having the real thing! The M1's characteristic Stock has been manufactured authentically from Real Wood given a rich staining to match that of the Walnut Wood used on the genuine M1s. Combined with the Alloy Receiver and Barrel, this M1 feels and handles just like it should. The Controls are correct to those on the real rifle, with the Trigger Guard Safety and adjustable sights. Internally the M1 uses a Ver.7 gearbox and is compatible with Ver.7 components. Whether you want to take to the skirmish field in period authentic kit and pretend you're storming the sands of Iwo Jima, or if you simply want a stunningly accurate replica for a collection, the real Wood M1 AEG is an excellent choice.

These table can be used as a reference to see if the BB weight you are using will be over acceptable Joulage limits at some Airsoft Sites in the UK. To check if the weight can be used chrono your weapon using the BB you intend to use, and then compare it to the chart.

FPS, Power and Joule Limits can vary from site to site, so please get in touch with where you're going to play with in advance to avoid disappointment.

Suggested limits are based on Joulage Limit rules used Halo Mill: Proving Grounds, with a 350fps limit for Automatic Replicas, 400fps for Semi-Automatic Replicas, and 500fps for Bolt Action Replicas.
