NUPROL 3500rnd Electric Drum Magazine for AK47/74 AEGs; Sound Control

For those AK users who are in need of more firepower; this should be of interest! The NUPROL 3500rnd Electric Drum Magazine for AK47/74 AEG is styled after the RPK drum magazine and is constructed from high density polymer to keep the weight far lower than similar AK drums. The magazine holds an impressive 3500 BBs and can be used in either auto winding or sound control mode via the switch on the front right of the magazine body.

The magazine is powered by 4x AAA batteries (not included) which need to be installed into the included battery cradle and then inserted into the magazine body by removing the rear plate by unscrewing the knurled nut in the centre. The fill window is located at the top of the magazine, as with most other high-cap magazines, and to fill the mag all you need to do is open the fill window and pour BBs in.

The activation switch can be found on the front of the magazine body and when pushed to the left (looking at the mag from the front), the magazine will automatically wind the mechanism to keep the BBs feeding into your AK AEG whenever it is fired. This is known as the "sound control" mode, and practically means you can forget about winding this magazine yourself!

With the switch pushed to the right you can engage the manual wind function, which means if the sound control isn't keeping up with the speed of your setup, you can take matters into your own hands. The central position is the "off" position, which will kill power to the magazine, though it will not decompress the winding mech.

A drum magazine is also a useful addition to the loadout of a skirmisher who wants to try out the role of a Support gunner, without taking the plunge on a dedicated support weapon. This is a great option for those who are on the fence about tackling a new aspect of the sport, and the drum magazine won't lose its functionality if you decide to stick with an assault role as it can be thrown into a utility pouch and kept handy for emergencies, i.e when you need to shoot your way out of trouble!
