The VMP-2 is one of the most innovative IWA Airsoft platforms this year, offering VMP-1 magazine compatibility in a unique carbine format available in 3 exciting variants. Check the video below for more details!
The longest VMP-2 platform, known as the VMP-2D is the designated marksman variant, pre-locked to semi-automatic only and coming out of the box at an impressive 450 FPS on 0.2g BBs. Its long outer barrel and square profile handguard give it a menacing look to match its DMR performance.
Smack bang in the middle of the VMP-2 range is what is known as the "Recce Rifle" aka the VMP-2MD. The MD variant has a slightly shorter barrel than the D and the low-profile stock option from the assault variant but is still semi-auto only and tuned to high FPS.
The shortest variant is known as the VMP-2M, rocking semi-automatic and fully automatic in the new VORSK carbine format. FPS-wise, the VMP-2M hits out at approximately 330 FPS on 0.2g BBs, making it suitable for all scenarios and equally great for CQB as it is for outdoor skirmishes.
All variants of the VMP-2 are compatible with standard M4/AR-15 AEG outer barrels & handguards, meaning unlimited options when it comes to customising and making the VMP-2 a truly unique beast. The pistol grip is an interesting choice, mimicking the looks of the 1911 pistol but is compatible with aftermarket M4/AR-15 GBBR pistol grips so you can style the platform to suit your needs.
Compatibility-wise, we are reliably informed that all VMP-2 variants will have interchangeable trigger groups and compatibility with VSR-10 pattern HOP-up buckings and inner barrels.
The magazines are the same used in the VMP-1, with a new short mag due for release with the VMP-2. The 5-Lug muzzle device is also the same one used on the VMP-1, meaning the VMP QD suppressor will pop right on any VMP-2 platform.
We can't wait to get our hands on the VMP-2 so we can show it off and of course, get some trigger time! A potential rival for the ASG KC02 and Novritsch SSQ22, the VMP-2 would be the perfect long-range compliment If you're already rocking a VMP-1.
