Powered via a CR1632 button cell (not included) with a solar cell on board as backup, the XR5 will switch to the solar cell in bright conditions to save your battery power for when the sun goes down. The XR5 also boasts a power saver mode which will automatically shut down the red dot when it is inactive, turning it on again via motion sensors exactly when you need it. The red dot reticle itself is a 2MOA dot, ideal for either pistol or rifle mounting and boasts a whopping 13 brightness settings, ensuring you get a clear view of the reticle in both very bright and pitch-black conditions. The set also includes a "killflash" style lens cover which ensures lens glare doesn't give you away and can also serve to prevent BB impacts, though it may get damaged after a hit or two. 

Windage and elevation are both adjustable via the dials on the right side and top respectively, requiring a flat-head screwdriver to adjust.
