  • Ideal DMR base gun
  • Military Variant - Olive drab furniture
  • Claw mount compatible receiver

If you are building a DMR rifle but need something that fits in with rebel, OPFOR and PMC style loadouts, a G3A3 would make the perfect base gun. The JG T3-K3 is a full sized G3A3 replica constructed with a polymer receiver, stock, handguard and trigger group with an alloy outer barrel, keeping the hefty G3A3 design suited to being carried all day. This G3A3 sports the classic olive drab German issue military furniture, an HK claw mount compatible receiver and fixed stock with a massive battery compartment, making it ready to do its business out in the woodland site.

Description

The Jing Gong T3-K3 is a big boy of a rifle with ultra low weight, allowing you to sprint around wielding this battle rifle like it is a pocket-sized submachine gun. The T3-K3 is constructed from high density ABS polymer with an alloy outer barrel, metal version 2 gearbox and metal trim parts, keeping the weight of this "real man's gun" low so the performance-obsessed can get maximum efficiency without tiring themselves out. The polymer used in its construction is strong, rattle-free and doesn't have the telltale shine that many cheaper AEGs have, and is coloured to match the parkerized finish applied to the real G3A3 with its dull grey look.

Starting at the tip of the alloy outer barrel we can find the appropriate G3A3 style birdcage flash hider mounted to the barrels 14mm CCW male threads. This is the classic G3 muzzle device and looks right at home, but if you have other ideas you can mount anything which fits 14mm CCW male threads, including tracer units, suppressors and alternative flash hiders. Following the flash hider we can see the outer barrel and its slight taper towards the receiver, matching the silhouette of the real rifle's barrel for the prerequisite realism we expect from an Airsoft AEG.

The front sight of the T3-K3 is mounted at the front of the cocking tube and handguard and is the classic hooded HK front sight design, which pairs perfectly with the rotary drum diopter style rear iron sight, found at the rear of the receiver. The rear sight offers 4 different apertures for aiming, giving you the flexibility to put rounds on target in any ambient lighting condition. To adjust the sight all you need to do is turn the drum using the helpful texturing around its circumference.

Moving rearwards we come to the cocking tube of the T3-K3, which contains the AEG's folding cocking handle. Pulling this handle rearwards and locking it up into the "safety notch" will retract the mock bolt carrier, found over on the right side of the AEG, and reveal the rotary HOP-up adjuster. The HOP-up allows the user to tune the T3-K3 for different ammo weights and vary the amount of backspin applied to each BB, looking for the flattest trajectory possible.

The handguard lies just below the cocking tube, and is the real world accurate slim ribbed G3 handguard, issued with the G3A3 to the German Bundeswehr throughout the cold war, and many other militaries as well. The slim design of this handguard is very comfortable in hand, and also includes two holes at the 6 o'clock position which can be used to mount a 20mm Picatinny rail if you want to add a vertical foregrip.

Following the handguard, we reach the receiver, which is constructed from polymer with a realistic looking phosphate finish (aka parkerized). The receiver includes mounting lugs on its upper surface which are designed for HK claw mounts, so if you want to hone the T3-K3 for long range and add a telescopic sight or red dot sight you can by first installing a claw mount onto the receiver. Running along either side of the receiver we can see the stock sliding recesses which allow this G3 to be equipped with a sliding stock if you want a more compact package.

The lower receiver is known as the "trigger pack" in SMG-5 and G3 rifles and is constructed from polymer with a 3 position fire selector positioned on the left side. The selector sits comfortably within reach of the shooter's thumb and offers safe, semi-automatic and full automatic fire modes. The pistol grip of the T3-K3 is also a part of the trigger pack and has ergonomic finger ridges built in, just like the real G3. The trigger guard is nice and large, allowing for ease of use with full finger gloves which is important as those finger shots hurt like *beep*!

The magazine release works similarly to an SMG-5, and includes a centrally positioned ambidextrous paddle magazine release and a secondary push button release on the right side, which is similar to an M4/AR15. This gives you plenty of options in how to manipulate the G3A3, and whether you have an AK or AR background, or you are new to the game, you will have no issues making this rifle work for you.

At the rear of the receiver, we come to the stock of the T3-K3, which is constructed from olive drab polymer to match the handguard and the real G3A3. The stock includes a sling slot on the right side which can be paired with the front sling point on the front sight block to set the T3-K3 up with a two-point rifle sling. The stock also houses the battery of the T3-K3, which can be installed by pulling the rubber butt plate downwards, after which it should come off. Inside you will find a mini-Tamiya battery connector to which you connect your battery of choice. For the T3-K3 we recommend a  7.4V 1300mAh nunchuck battery or a 9.6V NiMH block battery for easy installation and a good fit.

If you are looking for a woodland optimised AEG with a long barrel for potential DMR use, why not go outside the norm and rock a G3? The T3-K3 is fully compatible with aftermarket v2/v3 gearbox parts, and can also accept any upgraded HOP-up rubber and nub for Airsoft AEGs. G3 rifles are in use around the world to this day, and have been used by some seriously big names in the real steel world including the SAS, Norwegian Special Forces, German KSK, Brazillian BOPE and many many more. If you want a DMR but aren't much of a Milsim player, and even if you are, build your dream DMR with a T3-K3 base gun and thank us later!

Special Instructions

These table can be used as a reference to see if the BB weight you are using will be over acceptable Joulage limits at some Airsoft Sites in the UK. To check if the weight can be used chrono your weapon using the BB you intend to use, and then compare it to the chart.

FPS, Power and Joule Limits can vary from site to site, so please get in touch with where you're going to play with in advance to avoid disappointment.

Suggested limits are based on Joulage Limit rules used Halo Mill: Proving Grounds, with a 350fps limit for Automatic Replicas, 400fps for Semi-Automatic Replicas, and 500fps for Bolt Action Replicas.

Tap the tabs below to open the relevant chart for your replica.

Suggested limits are based on Joulage Limit rules used Halo Mill: Proving Grounds, and is the equivalent of 350fps, using 0.20g BB resulting in an upper limit of 1.14j.
