- Full metal construction - A lot of steel!
- Rotary adjustable HOP-up unit
- Iconic replica of the ''Para-pistol''
This MK7 Sterling is a replica of the rare Para-pistol SMG. It is a variation of the Sterling Submachine Guns that was produced for only 18 months from 1986 to 1988. This SMG was designed to provide paratroopers and non-infantry personnel with an automatic compact alternative to their pistols. The Airsoft replica doesn't quite have the same decorated history, but it looks just as stunning and would be a fine addition to any old military replica collection or wartime reenactor's arsenal.
Constructed almost entirely from steel with all the features one would expect from an authentic Sterling replica, the S&T MK7 Sterling is built like a tank, with the appropriate weight and heft for a realistic experience whether you're skirmishing with it or just fondling it at home (we don't judge!). Inside, we have a unique gearbox type with an alloy shell, caged motor and 18:1 ratio steel gears, with a well-concealed rotary adjustable HOP-up unit on the underside of the outer barrel. If you're looking for an old-school rare SMG or are working on your historic British firearms collection, you need the S&T MK7 Sterling!

Description
If you are an avid British firearms enthusiast or a movie nerd, you will recognise a Sterling model platform when you see it! This iconic platform was the standard issue for the British army for 40 years between the 1950's and 1990's. It replaced the equally iconic STEN, offering improvements in ergonomics, semi-auto and full auto fire modes. This SMG was one of the few British firearms squaddies reportedly liked, and the S&T replica matches up with the Sterling's superb reputation in the real steel world.
The MK7 is a compact pistol version of the MK6 which has had its stock removed and barrel shortended. This was designed so non-infantry and paratroopers could have a compact full auto platform that was easy to transport. The Sterling platform is also the inspiration for the iconic Star Wars blaster, the E-11 blaster rifle. It has been a staple of the Star Wars universe since its conception.
Featuring a Polymer Pistol Grip and full metal construction, the S&T MK7 Sterling Replica has flawlessly authentic looks and a realistic, hefty feel in the hands. The receiver is constructed entirely from steel, as is the buffer tube and magazine well, just like the real thing. Unlike many Airsoft replicas which use alloy receivers, the S&T Sterling is bristling with steel, meaning improved durability, a more authentic finish and an authentic feel which is hard to match.
Starting at the front of this beautiful replica we find the barrel. The tip can be unscrewed to reveal a 14mm clockwise male thread. With this, you can attach several different muzzle attachments such as suppressors or tracers. Included in the box are a barrel extension and a dummy suppressor, both of which can be screwed straight onto the front of the Sterling MK7. Keep the short barrel if you like the iconic look, or add the dummy suppressor if you prefer a stealthier, more covert look.
The ported front heat shield is extremely short, at just 1cm! Although it's a very small section, it still adds a lot to the authentic feel of this little beauty. The Sterling MK7 comes with authentic aperture iron sights, one of the areas the Sterling most notably improved on the STEN it replaced. The rear sight provides two apertures for aiming, a finer aperture for semi-auto fire and a wider one for full auto. On top of the receiver, we are treated to a 20mm Picatinny rail so you can modernise this classic SMG with a red dot sight or whatever upper rail attachment you deem as crucial to skirmish this iconic British army Submachine Gun.
Moving further back on the receiver we find the battery compartment at the rear of the Sterling MK7, the compartment is accessible once the receiver end cap has been removed. Inside, you will find a mini-Tamiya battery connector. To remove the end cap, simply press it in to unlock the stock, hold the retaining latch on the bottom of the receiver down and rotate the end cap counterclockwise, after which it will come free. We recommend a 7.4v 1000mAh LiPo in block configuration for an easy fit. The end cap also features a sling loop so you can attach a single-point sling to help carry around your iconic British Army SMG.
Moving downwards we come to the polymer pistol grip and alloy trigger. The trigger is curved and comfortably hooks around the finger for controlled bursts of full automatic fire. The pistol grip is angled for an ergonomic and comfortable feel when carrying and aiming the Sterling at any opponents unfortunate to come across you in a skirmish. The grip is textured which provides a superior grip so both gloved and ungloved skirmishers can keep a firm grasp of their MK7 in any weather condition. Stay true to the motto of the British Army Parachute regiment ''Utrinque paratus'' (Latin for "ready for anything")
Internally the Sterling is equipped with a proprietary gearbox type with an alloy shell, caged motor and steel 18:1 ratio gears, capable of semi-auto and full auto fire via the fire selector switch on the left side of the pistol grip. The charging handle is located on the top right of the tubular receiver and when pulled back, provides a satisfying metal-on-metal "clank". The rotary adjustable HOP-up is neatly concealed on the underside of the outer barrel and can be turned through a vent port to tune the Sterling for your chosen ammo weight.
For Airsofters looking for a Late- or Post-Cold War era Submachine gun that isn't an MP5, the Sterling provides another iconic and unmistakably British SMG platform, built like a tank with solid performance, both at range and up close.

Special Instructions
These table can be used as a reference to see if the BB weight you are using will be over acceptable Joulage limits at some Airsoft Sites in the UK. To check if the weight can be used chrono your weapon using the BB you intend to use, and then compare it to the chart.
FPS, Power and Joule Limits can vary from site to site, so please get in touch with where you're going to play with in advance to avoid disappointment.
Suggested limits are based on Joulage Limit rules used Halo Mill: Proving Grounds, with a 350fps limit for Automatic Replicas, 400fps for Semi-Automatic Replicas, and 500fps for Bolt Action Replicas.
Tap the tabs below to open the relevant chart for your replica.
This table should be used for reference, and cannot be used to check one weight against another, as the weight of the BB affects the power.
In order to check if the BB can be used with your replica chronograph using the weight you wish to use and then compare it against the table.
Every time you change weights you will need to re-chrono and check against the table. This is not a conversion chart between weights.
Suggested limits are based on Joulage Limit rules used Halo Mill: Proving Grounds, and is the equivalent of 350fps, using 0.20g BB resulting in an upper limit of 1.14j.
