PCS 1x40 Red/Green Dot Sight w/20mm Rail Mount

The 1x40 Red/Green Dot Sight from PCS is constructed from aluminium and boasts an integral Picatinny rail mount, meaning it is ready to add to any Airsoft rifle with a 20mm Picatinny rail on its upper surface. This sight has a massive 40mm objective lens, and with that comes an enviable field of view and impressive ease of use. The wider objective and ocular lens of this optic mean it is far more forgiving of a less than perfect stance and head position, making this sight perfect for those who are newcomers to the sport, or those who just like to have fun and leave the realism and challenges that come with it for the Milsimmers. If you are using this sight with a full face mask we recommend using a 20mm rail riser to elevate the sight slightly for extra clearance and a more comfortable setup overall. 

The 1x40 Red/Green Dot Sight offers 5 levels of brightness for both the red and green dot functions. This means no matter what the ambient lighting conditions are you should have no trouble picking up the dot quickly and using this sight to its best. Having the choice between red and green illumination is very useful, as it allows you to choose the red mode for working in a more green environment for better visibility, and switch to the green mode for better visibility in low light situations. 

The sight can be zeroed using the capped turrets located on the top and left side of the optic. Unscrewing these caps will reveal the adjustment dial, which can be turned using a flathead screwdriver. Having capped turrets means the sight will be slower to adjust but has the balancing factor that it protects the turrets from dirt, rain and dust, and also covers the turrets completely to avoid accidental adjustments and preserve your zero. 

Included in the box you will find a single CR2032 3V button cell, which can be installed within the largest of the three external turrets on the sight. This turret is the illumination turret and controls the colour and brightness setting of your reticle. The top cap of this turret can be unscrewed to access the battery compartment where you install the included CR2032 cell. 

With the battery installed you are ready to rock, and turning the illumination turret will light up the red dot reticle and allow you to get busy. The small engraved dot on the left side of the optic, just below the illumination turret indicates the mode the sight is currently set to, and lining this dot up with either the "R" or "G" will turn the sight off. Don't forget to do this at the end of your skirmish or you might run your battery flat! 

So, if you are all about effectiveness on the field and are looking for a red dot optic to match, the 1x40 Red/Green Dot Sight by PCS would suit you well. This sight includes everything you need but the gun to start kicking tail at an Airsoft skirmish, though we recommend a lens protector for peace of mind!
