If you specialise in sniping and seek every possible performance advantage, the Novritsch SSG10 A1 Sniper Rifle; Full Thrust Version will definitely impress you! This rifle is pre-built by our workshop team using the Novritsch SSG10 A1 paired with the Full Thrust kit, chambered in 6.44mm Full Thrust BBs and supplied with a Full Thrust magazine, Full Thrust speed loader and a bottle of 0.62g BBs.

The advantages of the Full Thrust setup compared to standard sniper rifles are significant, including longer range, flatter trajectory, improved accuracy and less chance of injuring your target despite improved energy retention. One might expect proprietary BBs to be a drawback, though Novritsch's Full Thrust 0.58g and 0.62g BBs are barely more expensive than the average 0.46g BIO BBs.

When built up and put to the test, we found the Full Thrust Version of the SSG10 A1 to be positively exceptional, reaching out far further than the standard with greater accuracy and hitting with authority, even at extreme ranges. If you're a sniper at the cutting edge, keen to put the latest Airsoft technology to the test against your own custom builds, the SSG10 Full Thrust Version will blow your mind!

Description

The Novritsch Full Thrust kit is designed to provide unparalleled sniper rifle performance, offering heavier-weight ammo to gain an inertia advantage and allow your BBs to travel further compared to standard sniper rifles. Being aware of the technical hurdles of installing the Full Thrust Kit, we've decided to offer the Full Thrust as a pre-built product, based on the SSG10 A1 Sniper Rifle

If you know your physics or your Airsoft, you’ll already know how heavier ammo retains energy for longer due to less energy loss to air resistance. With many skirmish sites mandating biodegradable BBs, being fixed to a 5.95mm diameter limits ammo weight to a maximum of 0.46g, putting a ceiling on sniper rifle accuracy and range, even with upgraded HOP-up parts.

The Full Thrust concept reinvents the wheel, being chambered in 6.44mm diameter BBs offered in 0.58g and 0.62g weights. This provides several significant advantages, resulting in a flatter trajectory, longer range, improved accuracy and less chance of injury for those on the receiving end!

Reduced Air Resistance

Despite its wider diameter, the slower-moving Full Thrust BB is less affected by air resistance, allowing it to retain more of the kinetic energy generated at the muzzle. This translates to a vast improvement in effective range.

More consistent HOP-up effect

Being of higher mass and wider diameter, Full Thrust BBs retain the “Magnus effect” generated through the HOP-up for much longer. With mass further away from the centre, the spin of the projectile is maintained along its entire flight path, resulting in a flatter trajectory and further range improvements.

Inertia Advantage

The increased mass of Full Thrust BBs results in greater momentum, meaning they are less affected by variations in air pressure and maintain directional energy, resulting in tighter groupings at the apex of Airsoft sniper rifle range.

Wind Resistance Advantage

Wind resistance significantly increases with velocity, meaning the faster your BB moves the faster it decelerates. Momentum carried by the heavier Full Thrust BBs means they resist sudden gusts of wind far more effectively than 5.95mm BBs despite the Full Thrust’s increased surface area. This means if the wind picks up you don’t need to put down your Full Thrust rifle!

Reduced Injury Potential

Though Full Thrust BBs are packing a lot more energy on impact than standard 5.95mm BBs, their increased surface area results in less damage to the skin and less potential for injury.

About the SSG10 A1 Base Rifle

Starting at the front, we can find the muzzle cap of the SSG10 A1, with a slightly wider bore in this Full Thrust version. The cap is tightly fitted against the inner barrel, functioning as a barrel spacer to reduce vibration and improve accuracy downrange.

The outer barrel itself boasts the unique Novritsch spiral fluting, giving it a touch of style and keeping the aesthetic consistent across the Novritsch RIF range. The outer barrel is constructed from flawlessly machined alloy with a high quality finish which shows through all the crisp detail of the gorgeous spiral fluting.

Moving rearwards along the barrel, we come to the stock/chassis which is coated with a grippy rubberised finish for flawless wet weather handling. The stock is designed similarly to Remington R700 series rifles, providing the classic sniper rifle outline with a semi-pistol grip and grippy rubber butt plate.

At the front bottom of the chassis, we have what is known as a “Harris lug”, designed to mount sling swivels or Harris-style bipods. A bipod is a fantastic way to provide extra stability when shooting from the prone position. For minimalist snipers, the Harris lug can be used to thread a loop of paracord through for an affordable and silent sling mounting solution.

Just to the rear of the Harris lug, we come to the magazine well and the ambidextrous push-button magazine release, centrally located for easy access from either side of the rifle. The mag release works just like the standard SSG10 A1 and the legendary VSR-10, requiring a press to drop the magazine out. Each mag includes semi-circular cutouts on each side which align with those in the chassis, allowing you to remove a stuck magazine in the event your SSG10 A1 Full Thrust gets all mucky!

Magazine compatibility-wise, this pre-built full thrust setup requires its own Full Thrust specific magazines due to the larger diameter 6.44mm BBs. The set includes 1 x Full Thrust magazine constructed from translucent polymer like the original SSG10 A1 magazine and a Full Thrust speed loader. Ever the thoughtful manufacturer, Novritsch even marks each Full Thrust magazine with “FULL THRUST” in block capitals on the base of the mag, ensuring snipers with a massive stash of VSR-10 magazines don’t mix them up.

On the left side of the chassis between it and the outer barrel, we can find the slider HOP-up adjuster, positioned in the same spot as the original SSG10 A1 and VSR-10. This is great for those used to a VSR platform sniper rifle, meaning less need to retrain for familiarity with the SSG10 A1 Full Thrust.

The HOP-up allows you to adjust the backspin applied to each BB and tune your effective range with different ammo weights, seeking the flattest possible trajectory. The full thrust kit comes with its own unique HOP-up unit and bucking tuned for 0.58g and 0.62g BBs but is not compatible with aftermarket VSR/GBB buckings due to its larger ammo.

Moving rearwards, we come to the receiver which is constructed from alloy with a 20mm Picatinny rail up top. This rail is the “split” rail type, designed for optics which use separate scope rings and not compatible with dual ring mounts. If you prefer dual ring mounts, you’ll want to add the Novritsch SSG10 Full Top Rail Gen.2!

Being a bolt action sniper rifle, the SSG10 A1 Full Thrust bolt protrudes from the right side of the rifle, at the rear of the receiver. Cocking requires the bolt to be rotated upwards, pulled all the way to the rear, pushed forward again and rotated back into place, just like other bolties. The bolt handle itself is profiled to provide space between your optic and hand, avoiding scraping your knuckles every time you work the bolt.

Below the receiver and action, we have the flat trigger and alloy trigger guard, carrying over the Novritsch aesthetic from other platforms. The trigger pull is short and light, with no take-up whatsoever. If you’re used to creepy triggers from other rifles, the SSG10 A1 trigger will definitely put a smile on your face!

Behind the trigger guard, we come to what is known as a "Semi-pistol-grip", the traditional gripping location for bolt action rifles. The grip is set at a comfortable angle for shooting both prone and standing and the rubberised finish of the stock aids handling qualities so you can keep the rifle firmly in your hands in all weather, with or without gloves.

The stock itself is relatively featureless, as is convention for R700-style rifles in their traditional form. At the toe of the stock, we are treated to a second Harris lug, ideal for using the SSG10 A1 with a two-point rifle sling, allowing you to easily switch to your sidearm without dropping your primary. The butt plate is constructed from thick and grippy rubber with Novritsch branding stamped in, giving onlookers a discrete hint that this is one of the best out-of-the-box sniper rifles on the market.

If you're a sniper seeking every possible advantage, the SSG10 A1 Full Thrust Version will give you what you need. With considerable improvements over standard sniper rifles even when fully upgraded, the Full Thrust SSG10 A1 will transform the Airsoft sniping game!
