Highlander STOIRM Tactical Soft Shell Jacket

The word "Stoirm" is the Scottish Gaelic translation for the word "storm", to remove any doubt! The STOIRM Tactical Soft Shell Jacket is designed for all weather use, as the name implies, and is HH rated at 5000mm which makes it ready for all but the most relentless downpour. 

The STOIRM softshell makes use of high quality YKK zippers throughout with glove friendly cord extensions to ensure you can get into the pockets when you need to. All of the pockets on the STOIRM are zip secured, meaning both you and your valuables will stay warm and dry when out and about in the great outdoors. The armpits of the STOIRM jacket also feature zip-secured vents, so if it suddenly gets warm or you need a bit more breathability you can let some heat out easily, and maintain a comfortable body temperature at all times. 

The collar of the STOIRM softshell features a soft fleece lining for comfort and is raised slightly for improved wind protection. Inside the collar, we are treated to a lightweight pack-away hood with a peak which can be tightened or slackened using the toggle at the rear. 

When it comes to pockets, you are very well equipped with the STOIRM softshell. On each shoulder, you have zip-secured admin pockets which are remarkably spacious, and a pair of larger pockets on the front in the perfect position for keeping the hands warm and toasty. The outside of the shoulder pockets features a decently sized female velcro panel, allowing for morale and I.D patches to be added if needed. The final pocket is internal, on the left side of the garment when it is worn. This pocket is zip secured and makes the perfect place for your phone, wallet or other important items, and is ideally positioned for easy access. 

The inside of the STOIRM softshell is lined with soft fleece, making it very comfortable to wear and nice and warm for those winter walks. The cuffs and hem are adjustable to allow for different body types, allowing everyone to keep those harsh winds out. The cuffs also have an extension to cover most of the hand, including a hole for the thumb. This is great if you forget to bring your gloves as you can still keep your hands relatively warm, even if the hand warmer pockets are full of stuff! 

The black version of this jacket has the professional look that would suit SIA security staff perfectly but is not overly aggressive and tactical to the extent that it looks out of place if you wear it to pop down the shops. The other colour options offer excellent concealability for skirmishing and there is a colour that will fit with practically any loadout.
