Description
The G&G ARP9 has taken the Airsoft CQB world by storm; following in the footsteps of the awesome G&G Firehawk, but in a new 9mm format with G&G's programmable ETU and an ultra-compact GOS V5 PDW stock. The ARP9 shares the Firehawks booming muzzle report with its newly designed aggressive sound amplifier, but being capable of taking an 11.1V LiPo battery takes the ARP9 to a new level in rate of fire, and semi-auto trigger response. This ARP9 comes straight from the factory in VCRA compliant Pre-two tone Blue injection moulded polymer, meaning no wait time for a two tone paint job, and a hard-wearing and scratch-resistant finish. The new G&G ETU and MOSFET provide protection for the electronics and also increase the rate of fire whilst also allowing you to change the full auto setting to a 3 round burst, using only the controls on the AEG!
At the front end of the ARP9, we can find G&G's latest sound amplifier which attaches to the 14mm CCW male threads at the tip of the alloy outer barrel. The sound amp looks awesome and is positively scary when fired, but if the look doesn't suit you or you are more of a sneaky type of player, the amplifier can be easily replaced with any 14mm CCW threaded accessory, including Tracer units and suppressors. The sound amplifier sits slightly recessed beneath the short M-LOK handguard, giving the ARP9 it's sleek, "I mean business" look.
The Handguard is constructed from aluminium and is anodized in matt black, keeping the details sharp and providing a consistent finish across the piece. At the 12 o'clock position on the M-LOK handguard we have a 20mm Picatinny rail, which joins seamlessly with the rail on the receiver to provide an extended mounting point for optical sights, which is easily long enough to house a red dot sight and a magnifier should you choose to take that route with your build. At the 3, 6, and 9 o'clock positions we have two M-LOK slots, providing negative space attachment points for M-LOK accessories or M-LOK rail sections. The use of M-LOK ensures that the ARP9 is as light as possible and that you are only carrying the accessories and rails you will use, though the handguard also adds to the ARP9's cutting edge, modern look.
As we reach the receiver, we find familiar M4/AR15 style controls, making it easy for veteran M4 users to adapt their habits to run their ARP9 proficiently. The mock bolt release can be found in the center of the left side of the receiver, and is a separate piece for added realism, but provides no function. The fire selector can be found above the pistol grip and is an enlarged design with deep grooves to ensure you can operate it easily, even in poor conditions or when under pressure. Similarly to an M4/AR15 platform, the fire selector provides 3 positions; safe, semi-automatic, and fully automatic. These selector switch positions are denoted with stylish but discrete 3D bullet pictograms and have a 90-degree throw between each mode. The magazine release of the ARP9 is located on the bottom of the receiver, forward of the trigger guard, and is enlarged, and accessible from either side - a handy feature for left-handed users! The receiver itself follows the design aesthetic of the G&G CG series, with modern angular styling and flared magazine well for improved reload speed. The magazine well also features gripping surfaces moulded into its front face, providing an area to hold the ARP9 when shooting in unconventional positions.
The pistol grip installed on the G&G ARP9 is a G&G ergonomic slim type grip, which provides a comfortable enhanced grip option whilst remaining useful for those with smaller hands. This grip works well in conjunction with the flat-faced speed trigger and enlarged trigger guard. This combination of parts ensures you can get to your trigger quickly, and your finger will not slide off, even if you are slapping away at it to keep the enemies heads down! The trigger is also skeletonized, which is one of those small details which tie together to make the ARP9 such a looker whilst also serving to further reduce any unnecessary weight.
At the top rear of the receiver, we can find the ambidextrous charging handle, which can be actuated from either side of the AEG, and serves to open the dust cover and retract the mock bolt carrier for access to the rotary adjuster of the HOP up unit. The HOP up unit provides adjustable backspin to your BB in order to extend the range. With the charging handle held to the rear, the HOP up can be adjusted and set for the weight of BB you are using, and with its rotary design, the unit holds its setting perfectly under the vibration of firing. Just above the charging handle, we can find the rear flip-up aperture sight, which mates with the front flip-up sight. Both sights come pre-installed to the 20mm Picatinny rail on the M-LOK handguard and receiver respectively, but can be removed and replaced with any 20mm Picatinny compatible optical or iron sights. The flip-up nature of this sight set allows them to be stored in a more compressed manner, preventing damage to your sights, and can also be kept on the AEG flipped down when using an optical sight, providing an emergency aiming solution should your primary optic go down.
Arriving at the rear of the AEG, we come across the G&G GOS-V5 PDW stock. This stock features alloy stock bars, allowing it to be extended to any one of two positions, depending on your body type and whether or not you use a bulky rig or plate carrier vest. The stock adjustment button can be found on the bottom of the stock, and when pressed allows the stock to extend or retract. Integrated into the GOS-V5 design, we have an ambidextrous sling loop, located on the bottom, which is ideally suited for use with a single-point sling.
Within the GOS-V5 stock lies the ARP9's battery compartment, which can hold up to an 11.1V 1100mAh battery. For ease of installation, we recommend either an 11.1V 600mAh PDW battery or purchasing the Airtech Studios Battery Extension Unit in order to install larger batteries. For more information on ARP9 batteries, and how to install them see our Guide on the subject. To access the battery compartment, simply remove the butt plate and stock bars by holding the adjustment lever down and pulling the butt plate off to the rear. Following this, push in the tab on the bottom of the battery tube which allows the end cap to be removed, revealing the Mini-Tamiya connector beneath.
The ARP9 takes its own proprietary G-series style AEG magazine, which whilst looking skinny, can hold a whopping 300 rounds in wheel wound High-cap form! The ARP9 can also take midcap and low capacity magazines, as well as its specifically designed Drum Magazine. If you are looking for a Submachine gun style replica for up close and personal encounters, or to act as a pocket-sized LMG, you can't do much better than a G&G ARP9!

Joule Charts
Special Instructions
These table can be used as a reference to see if the BB weight you are using will be over acceptable Joulage limits at some Airsoft Sites in the UK. To check if the weight can be used chrono your weapon using the BB you intend to use, and then compare it to the chart.
FPS, Power and Joule Limits can vary from site to site, so please get in touch with where you're going to play with in advance to avoid disappointment.
Suggested limits are based on Joulage Limit rules used Halo Mill: Proving Grounds, with a 350fps limit for Automatic Replicas, 400fps for Semi-Automatic Replicas, and 500fps for Bolt Action Replicas.
Tap the tabs below to open the relevant chart for your replica.
This table should be used for reference, and cannot be used to check one weight against another, as the weight of the BB affects the power.
In order to check if the BB can be used with your replica chronograph using the weight you wish to use and then compare it against the table.
Every time you change weights you will need to re-chrono and check against the table. This is not a conversion chart between weights.
Suggested limits are based on Joulage Limit rules used Halo Mill: Proving Grounds, and is the equivalent of 350fps, using 0.20g BB resulting in an upper limit of 1.14j.
