- CNC Aluminium handguard
- High-density polymer receiver
- EAGLE™ programmable MOSFET
If you're a CQB skirmisher and are looking for a new compact AR platform with a ton of nifty features all for a relatively low price, then the DA-B18-EGL BRAVO™ has you covered! This PDW-style AEG comes with a CNC aluminium handguard and a high-density polymer receiver. And of course, the star of the show, the EAGLE™ MOSFET! This ETU allows you to program your preferred firing such as burst modes, binary trigger and an AUG mode.
This AR is equipped with an M-LOK handguard, sound-amplifying muzzle device and modernised receiver on the outside and kitted out on the inside with a rotary HOP-up unit and a reinforced version 2 gearbox equipped with a quick change spring guide, 7mm ball bearing bushings and an SHS piston and tappet plate, a 6.03mm tightbore inner barrel and the EAGLE™ programmable MOSFET.
The compact nature of this AEG means that the PDW stock and buffer tube can only accommodate smaller batteries. We at Patrol Base recommend the Specna Arms 7.4V 600mAh 20/40C Battery for PDW as it is specifically designed for PDW-style assault rifles. If you want an advanced compact platform that is perfect for running around in a CQB skirmish, then the DA-B18-EGL BRAVO™ TALOS 3 PDW M4/AR-15 AEG is the one to choose!

Description
If you need an affordable CQB platform, the DA-B18-EGL from Delta Armory is a great choice. This platform boasts a compact build with an M-LOK handguard and a railed receiver, this gives you space for accessories whilst still prioritising agility and close-quarters functionality.
Delta Armory's BRAVO™ range is the middle-of-the-road option from Delta, combining the high-density polymer receiver and buffer tube of the CHARLIE™ line with a CNC aluminium handguard and alloy outer barrel.
This gives the platform more realistic weight distribution and an extra hint of realism without compromising the platform's agility.
Like the ALPHA™ and CHARLIE™ AEGs from Delta, BRAVO™ AEGs have more than their fair share of pre-upgraded parts, including a 6.03mm tightbore inner barrel, rotary HOP-up unit, 7mm ball bearing bushings, a reinforced V2 gearbox shell and a quick change spring system. If you prefer a simple yet solid internal feature set with room for customisation down the line, the DA-B18-EGL should suit you well!
Starting at the front of this AEG we can find a sound amplifying muzzle device pre-installed on the 14mm CCW male outer barrel threading. The sound amp provides a mean look for the front of the barrel and is great for striking fear into the hearts of your enemies in CQB thanks to the thunderous muzzle report it provides. If you prefer being a more discrete skirmisher or you plan to run a tracer, you can swap the sound amp out for a 14mm CCW compatible muzzle device of your choice.
Moving rearwards, we come to the handguard of the DA-B18-EGL which is constructed from aluminium using CNC machining, guaranteeing a flawless form. The handguard is equipped with a 20mm Picatinny rail along its entire upper surface, allowing for a wide range of 20mm Picatinny rail accessories to be added without having to sacrifice all the space to mount your choice of optical sight. At the 3, 6, and 9 o'clock positions, we are treated to M-LOK attachment slots, allowing you to mount grips or extra Picatinny rails, the options are endless! Delta Armory has kindly pre-installed an alloy hand stop on the bottom of the handguard so your hand doesn't slip off the handguard no matter what weather conditions you play in.
The upper Picatinny rail of the handguard runs back and meets the receiver rail seamlessly to allow for longer optical sights to be mounted, including red dot sight and magnifier combinations. The receiver itself follows the familiar M4/AR-15 format but with a unique Delta Armory aesthetic and is constructed from high-density polymer to keep the platform light and manoeuvrable. The finish on the receiver is consistent and strong enough to resist scratches more effectively than most metal receivers, making the DA-B18-EGL ideal for those who skirmish recklessly!
The fire selector is positioned just above the pistol grip and offers 3 modes of fire; SAFE, SEMI and AUTO, with a 90-degree throw between each mode. This makes the selector easy to switch with your thumb, but not so easy that it can be changed accidentally. The magazine release is on the right side of the magazine well and is accessible for a right-handed user with the tip of the trigger finger. Being equipped with the EAGLE™ MOSFET also means you can program the controls for burst mode, binary trigger and even sniper delay, semi-auto only and AUG mode. Some of these may not be the best choice for this platform, but who are we to stop you?! A link to the programming instructions can be found below in the "Features" section.
The mock bolt catch is located in the centre of the left side of the receiver, and while this is a dummy control which doesn't provide a function it is nonetheless a separate part to maintain the realistic appearance and avoid the tell-tale signs of being a replica. The dummy forward assist is present on the right side of the upper receiver, right where it should be, reprofiled to match modern "billet" style receivers with their dynamic angles. This control does nothing on an AEG, and some real AR shooters argue it does nothing on the real thing, but it is included on the DA-B18-EGL to keep the rifle faithful to real M4/AR-15 rifles.
The charging handle is located at the top rear of the receiver and doesn't need to be pulled before the first shot. It instead serves to retract the mock bolt carrier and open the dust cover on the right side of the upper receiver, which allows us to access the rotary HOP-up unit inside. The HOP-up allows you to tune the flight path of your BBs and set the DA-B018-EGL up for different ammo weights, looking for the flattest trajectory possible. The use of the rotary adjuster style is a nice touch and futureproofs the DA-B18-EGL with the most modern HOP-up design for the M4/AR-15 platform, boasting an improved ability to hold its setting under the vibrations of firing and being adjustable in finer increments than the older "gear" adjuster design.
The pistol grip of the DA-B18-EGL boasts a refined ergonomic grip angle for greater comfort when shooting with the stock fully collapsed and in more modern shooting stances. Each flank of the pistol grip includes fine texturing, with additional linear texture on the front and back straps for perfect wet weather handling. The trigger is a "flat" trigger with a short finger ledge and textured front, making it ideal for pumping out rapid semi-automatic shots. The trigger guard is built into the receiver, improving strength and allowing gloved fingers easier access to the trigger than the standard AR flat trigger guard.
As we reach the rear of the AEG we can find one of the primary differences between this and other Delta Armory platforms. The compact PDW stock of the DA-B18-EGL allows it to be stowed in much smaller spaces and used in a much more compressed shooting stance. The stock is primarily constructed from alloy with a polymer butt plate and steel stock bars for additional strength. The adjustment lever can be found on the bottom of the stock and allows the user to extend the stock to four different positions, depending on your body type and the scenario.
The battery compartment of the DA-B18-EGL can be found within the buffer tube, which is secured via a threaded cap that twists onto the buffer tube and will keep your battery secure and waterproof. The AEG is equipped with a Deans connector and can house a 7.4V LiPo battery of up to 600 mAh capacity. The Specna Arms 7.4V 600mAh 20/40C Battery for PDW is a battery that we recommend as it will fit, however, due to its small size it's best to bring two of these to your skirmishes so you will have enough battery power to play all day!
The internals of the BRAVO™ series boast more than their fair share of pre-upgraded parts, including a reinforced gearbox shell with quick change spring functionality and a 6.03mm tightbore inner barrel paired with a rotary HOP-up unit, offering higher FPS with the same spring and finer HOP-up adjustment increments so you can get your HOP-up set perfectly for your chosen ammo weight.
Inside the version 2 gearbox, we are treated to 18:1 ratio steel gears running on 7mm ball bearing bushings, an SHS piston with a full rack of steel teeth and an SHS tappet plate for reliable feeding, even at high speed. The new EAGLE™ ETU/MOSFET system takes centre stage, offering more programmable options than ever before, including 3 or 5-round burst mode, binary trigger, sniper delay, AUG mode, semi-auto only and precocking. The ability to program this wide variety of modes using the trigger and selector of the gun itself gives the DA-B18-EGL the edge over practically any other platform in this price range.
If you're looking for an advanced yet affordable CQB platform then the Delta Armory DA-B18-EGL BRAVO™ TALOS 3 PDW M4/AR-15 AEG is a superb choice. The EAGLE™ MOSFET puts it a league above any other CQB platform in the same price range. With generously pre-upgraded internals and superb, high-quality materials used throughout the platform, this AR has it all!

Joule Charts
Special Instructions
These table can be used as a reference to see if the BB weight you are using will be over acceptable Joulage limits at some Airsoft Sites in the UK. To check if the weight can be used chrono your weapon using the BB you intend to use, and then compare it to the chart.
FPS, Power and Joule Limits can vary from site to site, so please get in touch with where you're going to play with in advance to avoid disappointment.
Suggested limits are based on Joulage Limit rules used Halo Mill: Proving Grounds, with a 350fps limit for Automatic Replicas, 400fps for Semi-Automatic Replicas, and 500fps for Bolt Action Replicas.
Tap the tabs below to open the relevant chart for your replica.
This table should be used for reference, and cannot be used to check one weight against another, as the weight of the BB affects the power.
In order to check if the BB can be used with your replica chronograph using the weight you wish to use and then compare it against the table.
Every time you change weights you will need to re-chrono and check against the table. This is not a conversion chart between weights.
Suggested limits are based on Joulage Limit rules used Halo Mill: Proving Grounds, and is the equivalent of 350fps, using 0.20g BB resulting in an upper limit of 1.14j.
