Description
The Skeletal Cummerbund with QR system from EmersonGear is a great option for those who use a plate carrier with solid sides and are looking for more airflow for the looming summer months but could also be of use to a JPC wearer who needs to be able to take their carrier off in an instant without messing around with Velcro straps. This cummerbund includes two large Velcro sections to secure it at the front, a quick-release mechanism on either side and ladder style sides complete with MOLLE loops, and elastic to secure the cummerbund halves together at the rear.
The quick-release mechanism works by pulling the heat shrink wrapped cords on either side in the direction indicated by the arrow moulded into the QR system's surface. This will disconnect the sides of the cummerbund from the Velcro section secured to the front of your plate carrier, and allow you to take your carrier off, put it back on again without having to play with the velcro straps, and mess around adjusting it to fit. This is an invaluable feature if you need to cool off between games, and is a great time saver!
