- Bolster Armouries pre-tuned Light Machine Gun
- Gate TITAN II Bluetooth, Warhead 36k motor & Gate EON HOP-up
- Hand-assembled and tuned to perfection
Building on the previously released Bolster Armouries ONYX, ONYX [Forged Edition] and ARKOSE DMR, the ATLAS Advanced Support Gun was conceived to fill a gap in the Bolster Armouries line-up and take pure advantage of the spectacular performance the team was able to achieve with well chosen and carefully tuned upgrades, this time with a strong emphasis on providing overwhelming volume of fire.
The ATLAS is built on the same high end internal foundation as the ONYX with further refinements added via a selection of Gate’s latest upgrade parts. Inside the ATLAS, the Gate TITAN II Bluetooth MOSFET takes centre stage, making its first appearance in a Bolster build along with the Gate EON CNC HOP-up unit and the Gate NOVA CNC trigger. These parts join those from Prometheus, Maple Leaf, Lonex and other top tier Airsoft brands and the result sets the Bolster benchmark even higher than ever before.
As with other Bolster Armouries custom Airsoft guns, the ATLAS also boasts a subtle Cerakote finish in Smoked Bronze applied to its mock bolt carrier, tying in well with the colour pallet of the included Rotex-V suppressor and inert 5.56mm ammo belt for a discrete and professional look with militant leanings. The ATLAS Advanced Support Gun presents Airsofters with the opportunity to pick up a pre-tuned and highly upgraded LMG platform and benefit from decades of gun tech expertise with the added confidence that your ATLAS is covered by the comprehensive Bolster Armouries 24-month warranty and service program.

Description
Bolster Armouries was founded with one primary mission: To provide Airsofters with a range of RIFs which has been fine-tuned to provide the absolute peak in attainable performance together with breath-taking external quality. Each of our replicas is hand-assembled by some of the most experienced Airsoft gun techs in the industry and is built to an exacting standard.
Conceived with the modern Airsofter in mind, Bolster Armouries RIFs sport some of the finest internal and external upgrades available on the Airsoft market today and are guaranteed to provide unparalleled performance. To underline their dedication to their products, every Bolster Armouries RIF is issued with a dedicated extended warranty and service package, ensuring you get the complete experience the creators intended.
To fulfil a niche which is as yet unoccupied in the Bolster Armouries custom AEG line-up, the team conceived their first Airsoft AEG Light Machinegun, the ATLAS Advanced Support Weapon. Built for pure strength and firepower with more than its fair share of advanced features, the ATLAS follows in the wake of the proven ONYX platform and shares many of its internal parts while breaking away in certain key areas to facilitate its more specialised battlefield role.
As with all Bolster Armouries custom Airsoft guns, the ATLAS has been dressed to impress on the outside with a subtle Cerakote finish, advanced ergonomic upgrades from PTS Syndicate and the ASG B&T Rotex-V quick detachable suppressor, amongst the many other discrete alterations which give the ATLAS a menacing, militant look.
The Bolster Armouries tech team have outfitted the ATLAS with the very best parts for the job, as they did with the ARKOSE and ONYX. It should come as no surprise that the heart of this LMG is the same incredible Warhead Industries 36k Brushless Motor present in other Bolster builds, and the precision inner barrel is provided by Laylax Prometheus, made in Japan and known to be at the pinnacle of Airsoft tightbore inner barrel quality.
Making its first appearance in the Bolster Armouries spec sheet, the Gate TITAN II Bluetooth MOSFET keeps the incredible power of the custom-tuned gearbox in check, regulating current draw, improving electrical efficiency and ensuring the immense speed of the Warhead motor is delivered as and when the ATLAS requires it. Also featured for the first time are the Gate EON CNC HOP-up Unit, Protector CNC Cylinder Head and Power CNC Hybrid Piston Head which gel together perfectly for flawless air seal, superb consistency and maximum efficiency.
Backed up by the Bolster Armouries 24-month Warranty and Service program, you can rest assured that the high-performance bar set by the ATLAS will be maintained for many years to come, and the expertise poured into this platform is no less than that of previous successful Bolster Armouries platforms. With all the best parts on the market installed by technicians with true talent, the ATLAS Advanced Support Gun stands tall amongst other Airsoft guns as a dedicated suppressive fire and squad support tool.
If the mass-produced guns from other manufacturers are the equivalent of a Ford, a Bolster Armouries AEG is a Rolls Royce; crafted with care, to perfection, with the highest quality parts available and a distinctive external look leaving onlookers in no doubt that this is a Bolster Armouries AEG.
Bolster Armouries ATLAS Advanced Support Gun
The base platform for the Bolster Armouries ATLAS is the Krytac MK.II Trident LMG which has been a staff favourite and is known to be one of the most well made and ergonomic Support Gun platforms available. The MK.II Trident uses an M4/AR-15 style lower receiver with an enhanced “Shrike” style LMG upper, opening up a plethora of possibilities for upgrades with a rock-solid base gun to build something phenomenal around.
As with the ONYX, the ATLAS has been stripped back to its core components and has been rebuilt with a Cerakote finish and advanced PTS Syndicate furniture, giving it a uniquely smart exterior with a clean and professional look which is sure to draw the eye in the safe zone.
At the tip of the 11-inch outer barrel, we have a birdcage-style flash hider mounted to 14mm CCW male threading with the ASG B&T Rotex-V suppressor mounted on top via its QD attachment mechanism. The suppressor chosen for the ATLAS Advanced Support Gun is the 130mm model, giving you the sneaky look and a slightly muffled muzzle report without making the platform too long for tight spaces.
Just ahead of the handguard, we have a mock adjustable gas system and a 20mm Picatinny railed gas block, providing a short upper rail which is perfect for a front iron sight or a RunCam for those who like to document their escapades for future generations to enjoy. The mock gas adjuster at the bottom has a hole in the centre which mimics real gas adjusters which are adjusted using a spent shell casing, adding an air of plausibility to this unique LMG design.
The handguard is a wide design, fitting in well with the LMG aesthetics we all expect, derived from the chunky handguard designs of real light machine guns and support weapons which require the extra air gap between the handguard and barrel for cooling purposes. The handguard boasts KeyMod negative space attachment slots at the 3, 6, 9 and 12 o’clock positions, reducing the weight of the handguard while giving it the option to host a full complement of mission essential kit such as PEQ lasers, tactical flashlights, foregrips and bipods.
The ATLAS handguard accepts both KeyMod accessories and 20mm Picatinny rail adapters for KeyMod and is constructed from CNC-machined aluminium for the perfect balance between weight reduction and strength. The rear of the handguard has a flat section at the rear, mimicking the LMG legend, the M249 SAW in its shape. The front end is bevelled at the offset angles to make this wide handguard easy to grip using the “C-clamp” method, making the ATLAS as comfortable to use when running and gunning as it is when carrying out grazing fire from a static position.
The lower receiver is an M4/AR-15 pattern receiver, providing a familiar feel and conventional control locations for those accustomed to the M4 platform. The fire selector is ambidextrous, offering a 3-position switch with a 90-degree throw between each fire mode on either side, perfect. The fire modes available by default are SAFE, SEMI and FULL AUTO, and each is indicated with engraved markings. The Gate TITAN II installed inside the gearbox of the ATLAS allows for programmable fire modes using the Advanced Firmware Upgrade and the Gate Control Station app, allowing for burst modes of varying duration and rate of fire adjustment to be programmed in via Bluetooth.
The bolt catch is located right where we would expect but is a redesigned catch to allow space for the LMG upper receiver with its reinforced design. Accessing the HOP-up unit requires the charging handle, found on the centre left of the receiver, to be pulled rearwards to retract the mock bolt carrier. The charging handle folds flat against the side of the receiver when not in use to prevent snags and allow for easy carrying of the ATLAS on a sling. Following your HOP-up adjustment you can return the mock bolt to the “in battery” position by pushing the charging handle back forwards.
The upper receiver is an entirely unique design modelled after real steel Shrike M4/AR-15 style light machine guns with the prerequisite mock belt-fed configuration. Along the top of the LMG style top cover, we are equipped with a 20mm Picatinny rail, allowing for optical sights to be mounted exactly as the ATLAS deserves.
With 14.5cm of 20mm rail real estate, you have just as much to play with as on an M4/AR-15 upper receiver, meaning LPVO short dot optics and even red dot sights combined with magnifiers can be used on the ATLAS to great effect! As mentioned, the charging handle has been repositioned to the left side of the receiver to facilitate the LMG layout and is a snag-reducing design which folds flat for storage, keeping it well out of the way of your gear, sling and any optical sight you choose to mount.
The magazine release is located on the right side of the magazine well and is well placed within reach of the trigger finger of the shooter, with a textured surface to ensure this essential control can be used in all weather conditions. What a step up from an M249! This is one of the many reasons the Bolster Team chose the KRYTAC Trident LMG as their base gun; it perfectly hybridises advanced assault rifle-like ergonomics with the firepower of a true LMG platform.
The Bolster Armouries ATLAS Advanced Support Gun is supplied with a short belt of inert 5.56x45mm cartridges which can be installed between the box magazine and the receiver to simulate the ammo feeding arrangement of a real belt-fed LMG.
To install the inert cartridge belt you will first need to open the box magazine by removing the panel on the left side. With the panel removed, you should see a dummy cartridge moulded into the shell itself. Connect the empty link on the belt with this cartridge, after which you can reinstall the side panel of the box magazine. Next, insert the magazine into the magazine well and push the button at the rear left of the top cover forwards, allowing the top cover to rise under spring tension.
On the left side near the front of the receiver, you should see a space which is perfectly sized to fit a 5.56x45mm cartridge with a channel in which the ammo belt can be installed. Place the first round on your link into this space, close the top cover again and your ATLAS is looking its very best! The inclusion of an ammo belt of real inert cartridges really is the icing on the cake for any Airsoft LMG, and the choice of grey steel-cased rounds for the ATLAS blends perfectly with its discrete styling.
Being a Bolster Armouries build, we simply had to change out the original KRYTAC trigger for the mould-breaking Gate NOVA trigger which pairs perfectly with the Gate TITAN II MOSFET. The NOVA variant chosen was the 2B1 which has a gentle curve to it but is very close to a flat trigger in profile. The edges are machined with stylish weight-reducing cuts machined in to keep the trigger light and give it a subtle custom look. The NOVA trigger also provides adjustable pre-travel and over travel which can be customised by the user, but we will discuss that in the “Internal Enhancements” section below.
Arriving at the rear of the ATLAS we can find a familiar sight; the good old M4/AR-15 buffer tube. This allows for 6 positions of adjustment for the stock, allowing you to set the ATLAS up for your perfect stance, whether you rock a plate carrier in game or you choose a more mobile loadout with a simple chest rig. Mounted between the receiver and buffer tube we have a steel CQD-style sling plate which is ideal for a single-point sling setup, providing more than enough strength to support the weight of the ATLAS as long as your sling is up to the job!
The KRYTAC stock itself has been swapped out for the superb PTS Syndicate EPS stock and the original grip has been replaced with the PTS Syndicate EPG as part of the Bolster Armouries overhaul, adding to the strength and beauty of the ATLAS with Airsoft’s very best in ergonomics. Constructed from Dupont Zytel polymer based on the most advanced real steel designs currently out there, the EPG and EPS combo is a match made in heaven. If you want to read more about these PTS upgrade parts, check out the “PTS Syndicate Ergonomic Enhancements” section below!
Cerakote Finish - Smoked Bronze
Cerakote is an advanced, hard-wearing, and corrosion resistant ceramic coating developed for industries ranging from automotive to firearms and aerospace applications. Cerakote is offered in a wide range of finishes and is generally considered to be superior to anodizing when it comes to providing a custom finish to firearms. This is due in part to the high standards of colour consistency with a Cerakote finish, and that as a part of the process, anodizing creates a brittle and porous oxide layer over the parts, increasing tensile residual stress which can cause the finish to crack.
Cerakote does not affect the fatigue properties of aluminium and its alloys, making it ideal for Bolster Armouries RIFs. Cerakote has been extensively tested and has shown to be capable of exceeding military standards for corrosion resistance by over 40 times when subjected to a salt chamber test, even outlasting the commonly used Nitride finish for the barrels of real rifles.
Cerakote Smoked Bronze is a subtle flat bronze with metallic hints providing the distinctive Bolster style and some visual interest to mark the ATLAS out as a customised platform. The Cerakote has been applied to the mock bolt carrier of the ATLAS to tie the discrete and professional colour scheme together, matching well with the brass colour of the projectiles within the inert 5.56 ammo belt for a military-style look which won't stick out like a sore thumb at a Milsim skirmish. You can rest assured that this part will not wear down over time and look scruffy thanks to the high strength of Cerakote and its perfect adhesion, so no need to fear pulling the charging handle back!
Inert 5.56x45mm Linked Cartridges - Steel Cased
No true Airsoft LMG is complete without the realistic looks of real cartridges linking the belt feed mechanism and the box magazine, and as such the ATLAS simply had to have this. The Bolster Team went for 8 inert steel cased 5.56x45mm full metal jacket cartridges which connect to the mounting lug on the KRYTAC box magazine and link it to the feed tray and mock feed mechanism.
The addition of mock cartridges provides the pre-requisite authenticity the ATLAS really deserves and the colour of the cartridges matches well with the finish of the Gate NOVA trigger, ASG Rotex-V and the Cerakote Smoked Bronze finish on the bolt carrier.
PTS Syndicate Ergonomic Enhancements
To provide modern, state-of-the-art ergonomics to match the advanced KRYTAC LMG exterior, the Bolster Armouries team chose the PTS Syndicate EPS (Enhanced Polymer Stock) paired with the EPG (Enhanced Pistol Grip) for the ATLAS. Both of these parts are constructed from Dupont™ Zytel® high density polymer to provide superior wear resistance and durability when compared to the original KRYTAC furniture and are considerately designed based on the latest and greatest designs to enter the real steel market.
The EPS stock is a unique PTS design which takes notes from the best real steel stock manufacturers out there and combines their features for a slick hybrid and the best of all worlds. The overall form of the EPS marries the large angled cheekpiece of the well known “Crane” stock with an AXE-style shape to allow you to brace the ATLAS using the off-hand when firing from the prone position.
The adjustment lever is a well concealed low profile design which reduces the chances of it snagging on your kit but remains easily accessible, complete with a textured surface to maintain wet weather effectiveness. The lever is positioned at the bottom of the stock and is easily accessible from either side, allowing both left and right-handed shooters to adjust the stock in the field easily and quickly.
To promote positive gripping qualities and keep the stock firmly in your shoulder as you steer the ATLAS between targets, the EPS is fitted with a serrated rubber butt plate which performs well in its role whether you run a more bulky loadout involving a plate carrier or you run light and fast with webbing or a chest rig.
The battery compartment is situated inside the comfortable angled cheekpiece and provides enough space for either NiMh or LiPo crane/nunchuck batteries, with each compartment measuring roughly 139 x 31 mm. Accessing the battery compartment is as simple as with any Airsoft crane stock, simply press the two enlarged tabs at the toe of the stock and the butt plate will pop straight off to reveal the storage/battery compartments.
Also present on the EPS are two options for mounting a sling; a steel QD socket on either side and a standard sling slot for more conventional strap sling setups. Both sling options allow for ambidextrous use and can be paired with a front sling point for KeyMod (not included) to mount a two-point sling, making managing the weight of the ATLAS that much easier.
The PTS Enhanced Pistol Grip (EPG) is designed based on the overall shape and profile of the much lauded real steel Magpul MOE pistol grip, boasting a comfortable ergonomic profile which suits a wide variety of hand shapes and sizes. Grippy dot texture can be found on each side along with crackle textured panels on the front and rear straps which provide plenty of traction for confident weapon handling without being too abrasive for use without gloves.
The EPG also has a filled out backstrap which makes handling heavier weapon systems far more comfortable by supporting the web of the hand and filling the space between it and the receiver. This becomes all the more important during a reload or other situations where your support hand will be off the weapon, giving you far better control over a hefty platform while your support hand does more important work.
ASG Brügger & Thomet Rotex-V Quick Detachable Suppressor - 130mm - Metallic Grey
The ASG Rotex-V suppressor is designed based on the real Bruger & Thomet Rotex-V, an advanced modern QD suppressor which hybridises suppression effect with muzzle blast reduction. The ASG example boasts full licencing from B&T, featuring laser engraved B&T trademarks, calibre markings and serial numbers displayed on the side just like the real thing.
The Rotex-V makes use of a unique QD attachment mechanism which is compatible with M4/AR-15 birdcage muzzle devices, using a sliding collar to interface with the grooves on the muzzle device similarly to the KAC style of QD suppressor. This means you can quickly add or remove the suppressor when needed and you are never held to a particular configuration for any longer than you need it. The suppressor itself is constructed from aluminium with a CNC machined aluminium alloy QD mechanism with a steel locking mech for optimal strength and reliable lockup every time it is mounted or removed.
The variant chosen for the ATLAS is the 130mm length finished in subtle metallic grey, adding some visual interest to the exterior and keeping the whole platform nice and short with some added suppression effect.
Internal Enhancements
As with the ONYX, the internal parts present in the Bolster Armouries ATLAS are hand selected for the high quality materials used in their construction, as well as for their exceptional performance. Each Bolster Armouries Gearbox is hand built, with each gear being perfectly shimmed for smooth operation, and the piston position also being corrected for the perfect Angle of engagement (AOE) to provide maximum efficiency and longevity.
This gearbox is matched with one of the most well-regarded steel tightbore inner barrels out there, renowned for its rigidity and high quality internal finish. This is paired with the latest and greatest CNC HOP-up unit to hit the market, the Gate EON rotary HOP-up unit and a Prometheus purple HOP rubber which is based on the original Marui design but is comprised of longer lasting materials. Let's have a closer look at what goes into an ATLAS Advanced Support Gun, and why these parts are so noteworthy:
Prometheus 6.03mm EG Inner Barrel - Stainless Steel
Improves accuracy - Enhanced Air seal - Click for more info
The Prometheus 6.03mm EG inner barrel is constructed from SUS 304 stainless steel (also known as SS304 or AISI304), with a chromium content of between 18% and 20% and nickel content between 8% and 10.5%. This choice of material not only gives the inner barrel exceptional rigidity, but has higher corrosion resistance than other stainless steel, aluminium, or brass used in other inner barrels.
This inner barrel was chosen primarily for its reputation as one of the best AEG upgrades money can buy, but also its precise dimensional tolerances which are guaranteed to be within 1/100th of a millimetre of the manufacturer's specs. This means we can confidently say your Bolster Arms AEG will shoot straight and true, as long as you do your part! This part also serves as a great way to increase the FPS of an AEG by a small amount without adding additional strain to the gearbox, simply by using the compressed air provided by the piston more efficiently.
Prometheus Purple HOP-up Rubber - Soft Rubber
Wear resistant - Improved HOP-up effect - Click for more info
Known amongst Airsofters as a "Prommy purple", the Prometheus Purple HOP-up Rubber is based on the original and proven Tokyo Marui HOP-up rubber design but is cast in a far more wear resistant rubber whilst maintaining the prerequisite softness necessary for a strong HOP effect.
This HOP-up rubber has become a household name in Airsoft, next to the Guarder Clear, but the Prommy purple has, in recent years become the HOP-up bucking of choice for those attempting a Flat HOP modification. This mod intends to increase the effect of the HOP-up by widening the area of contact with the BB and is generally home-brewed and can have wildly varying results, often requiring extensive testing and troubleshooting. This brings us seamlessly on to our next part...
Maple Leaf Delayer OMEGA HOP-up Nub - Hard Rubber
Wide contact surface - Stronger HOP-up effect - Click for more info
The Maple Leaf OMEGA HOP-up nub is intended to be a mass-produced alternative to the home-brewed R-HOP and flat HOP modifications of yesteryear. This provides the kind of performance you would expect from a very well made flat HOP modification but with no chance of potential jams and considerably less likelihood of failure due to its single piece design.
The OMEGA nub has a concave contact surface, shaped to match that of a 6mm BB perfectly, providing HOP-up effect across the entire upper surface of the BB, instead of just a single point in the centre. This provides excellent side-to-side stability and an increased HOP-up effect, extending the range of the AEG into the borderline implausible!
Gate EON CNC HOP-up Chamber - CNC Machined Aluminium - Cyan/Violet
Fine adjustments possible - Enhanced air seal - Click for more info
The Gate EON CNC HOP-up chamber and its rotary adjuster are constructed from CNC machined aluminium and the HOP-up arm, redesigned C-clip, and barrel spacer are made from CNC machined POM polymer to provide the precise tolerances necessary for optimal air seal and consistency down range. When put to the test, the Bolster Armouries tech team found that this unit is easily the equal of the Pro-Win HOP-up unit, their former favourite, but with a fresh new look and some thoughtful enhancements.
New to the market and promising to be the best thing since the legendary Pro-Win CNC HOP-up unit, the Gate EON CNC HOP-up unit boasts several refinements even Pro-Win didn’t think of! The new C-clip has a protrusion in the bottom which interfaces with the indexing groove on AEG inner barrels to prevent rotation from compromising accuracy, the feed chute features an O-ring to prevent BBs from falling out when the magazine is removed and the adjuster/dial is now numerically marked so you can keep track of your HOP-up settings for different ammo weights and save setup time!
Gate NOVA CNC Aluminium Trigger 2B1 - CNC Machined Aluminium - Flat Dark Earth
Low friction design - Internal O-ring for improved efficiency - Click for more info
The Gate NOVA CNC aluminium trigger is not just a pretty face! The NOVA allows for adjustable pre-travel and over-travel via two grub screws, one in the trigger body to adjust pre-travel, and one in the rear extension to adjust over-travel. Designed to mimic competition-optimised real steel AR-15s, the trigger adjustment allows you to tune the NOVA to suit your requirements and is a popular upgrade for those who want the absolute fastest rate of semi-auto fire.
The front face of the chosen variant, the “2B1” is smooth but has bevelled edges which keep things comfortable when rapid firing by removing "hot spots" which may cause discomfort over long durations. In the ATLAS we expect you will be using this part quite a lot and both in semi and full auto, and the 2B1 style was chosen as the best option both for rapid semi-automatic fire and finger fatigue-free full auto mayhem!
Gate PROTECTOR CNC Aluminium Cylinder Head
Double O-ring configuration - Reduced stress on the gearbox shell - Click for more info
The Gate Protector CNC aluminium cylinder head is another new entrant into Bolster Armouries builds, constructed from CNC machined aircraft grade aluminium to an extremely high degree of precision. The Protector is designed to ensure the nozzle aligns perfectly with the nozzle guide on the cylinder head itself to prevent feeding and FPS fluctuation issues due to what is known as “mid-cap syndrome”.
The Protector is also fitted with a shock absorbing rubber bumper which functions the same way as the AirLab Sorbothane pad used in previous Bolster builds, reducing wear and stress on the gearbox shell and limiting wear on the piston head. To ensure we get the air seal qualities we should with a precise CNC machined part, the Protector also has a dual O-ring configuration around its circumference to completely close the gap between the cylinder and cylinder head.
Gate POWER CNC Aluminium Hybrid Piston Head - CNC Machined Aluminium
Perfect Air Seal - Corrects Angle of engagement - Click for more info
As with the ‘Protector’ cylinder head, the Gate Power Hybrid Piston Head is constructed from aircraft-grade aluminium using CNC machining technology to provide the tight tolerances necessary for a perfect fit between the cylinder walls and piston head and flawless air seal qualities.
The Power piston head features a pair of O-rings to completely seal any gap between the cylinder and the piston head itself, completely eliminating air leaks to ensure that all the compressed air generated by the gearbox is translated into effect downrange. Supplied with an AOE correcting spacer as well as special weight pads which allow for tuning for optimal performance with various weights of ammo. As you will receive it, the Power piston head is configured perfectly for the ATLAS internal setup and the G&G Armament 0.28g BBs the Bolster Armouries team recommend.
FPS Softair STEEL CYLINDER TYPE “D” - CNC Machined Steel
Extremely tight tolerances - Polished inner surface - Click for more info
FPS Softair is a new entrant to the Bolster Armouries builds, manufactured in Italy by Airsofters who share the Bolster Team’s passion for high performance and superlative quality Airsoft upgrades. The FPS Cylinder chosen for the ATLAS is the Type D model, providing the perfect air volume for the Prometheus 407mm 6.03mm tightbore inner barrel, meaning no power is lost through “suck back” and a flawlessly efficient air seal system.
The FPS Steel Cylinder is ribbed on its exterior, but not for her pleasure! The role of these ribs is to more effectively seal the walls of the cylinder with those of the gearbox shell to prevent any air from leaking out. The inside of the cylinder is polished to a near-mirror finish, meaning minimal friction and minimal energy lost as the piston reciprocates back and forth.
SHS Purple 15-Tooth Piston - Reinforced Polymer with Carbon Steel teeth
Low weight improves cyclic rate - High strength teeth - Click for more info
The SHS purple piston is comprised of two parts, combined to provide the best compromise between keeping the weight low, and the rigidity high. The piston body is constructed from fibre reinforced polymer, providing ample strength to resist the strain from rapid cycling whilst keeping the weight to a minimum.
The piston teeth which mesh with the steel sector gear are constructed from high carbon steel to provide the rigidity required for long term use alongside steel gears revolving at an incredible rate under spring tension. Despite its full steel tooth rack, the SHS piston weighs a mere 34g, keeping it well within the design parameters of the upgraded ATLAS gearbox.
Lonex Air Seal Loading Nozzle - POM Polymer
Low friction design - Internal O-ring for improved efficiency - Click for more info
The Lonex Air Seal nozzle is a marked improvement on the original Marui air nozzle design, featuring an internal O-ring to guarantee excellent air seal and consistent performance. The Lonex nozzle is made from POM material (Polyoxymethylene - also known as Acetal, Polyacetal, or Polyformaldehyde) which is a well known thermoplastic used in engineering applications requiring precise form with perfect dimensional stability, low friction, and high mechanical stiffness.
This nozzle is well regarded amongst Airsoft techs, including our Bolster Armouries tech team, and originally found its way into the ONYX build after providing excellent performance whilst being practically bomb-proof in their personal builds. Each nozzle installed in the ATLAS platform has been measured with callipers and confirmed to be in spec (21.23mm long) prior to installation.
Bolster Armouries M115 Spring - Ferrosilicochrome with Zinc coating
Reduces strain on the gearbox internals - Corrosion Resistant - Click for more info
he Bolster Armouries M115 spring is constructed from SiCr Alloy (also known as Ferrosilicochrome), with a zinc coating to discourage corrosion. This Alloy is well known for its use in manufacturing springs for the automotive industry and many others requiring static torsion loaded springs with high corrosion resistance.
The spring is a non-linear design, reducing strain on the gearbox by varying the coil tension over the course of compressing the spring. This means the spring design takes advantage of the points in the cycle of the AEG where the piston is in the best position to handle the high strain, such as the midpoint, whilst reducing the initial load on the piston teeth.
This M115 spring has closed and flattened ends which reduce wear on the piston, and minimize the chance of it failing. The Bolster Team had these springs made this way in order to reduce the strain on the internal components in the high speed ATLAS gearbox whilst providing the necessary velocity, and its design which provides optimal performance with a 6.03mm tight bore inner barrel.
Prometheus Krytac Spur Gear Spacer - CNC Machined Aluminium
Ensures a perfect shim job - Reduced internal wear - Click for more info
The original Krytac steel gearset is equipped with self-shimming spring spacers on its spur gear, which reduces the need for complex and long winded shimming by attempting a "one size fits all" solution. This can be great for amateurs who want to upgrade their gearbox, as it removes the need to carry out the shimming process, which is one of the more difficult aspects of building a smooth running gearbox.
There are no amateurs at Bolster Armouries, and the main issue the Bolster team identified with this system is that whilst preferable to a bad shim job, the self-shimming spring spacers can cause additional rotational stress resulting in an increase in gear and motor noise, and long term wear.
The spring spacer originally inside the Bolster Armouries ATLAS has been removed from the spur gear, replaced with the Prometheus CNC machined aluminium alloy spacer, and shimmed to a professional level to provide an exceptionally smooth running gearbox, with reduced friction, minimal noise from the gears, and a motor running smoothly without any additional stress caused by sub-optimal meshing and horizontal movement of the gears.
Prometheus EG Hard Bevel Gear - Heat-Treated Japanese Steel
Improved Longevity - Reduced ARL Load - Click for more info
Strong gears are the core of any high performance Airsoft build, and while the ATLAS retains most of the original Krytac hardened steel gears which are superb, the Bolster Team decided they could do better. Constructed from steel hardened using precision shot peening, the Prometheus EG Hard Bevel Gear is widely known as the strongest bevel gear on the market, and comes with the Prometheus pedigree.
The precision shot peening process essentially compresses the surface of the part and delays the formation of cracks and fractures by repeatedly shooting a spherical projectile at the object to be peened using compressed air and is a commonly used technique in the manufacture of military vehicles and aircraft to prevent fatigue cracks from developing in these high stress applications. Shot peening also helps prevent corrosion and adds wear resistance, and this is especially useful on a bevel gear as it is this gear which meshes with the motor and anti reversal latch and is most likely to come under sudden high strain.
Guarder Reinforced Tappet Plate - Reinforced Nylon Polymer
Highly Durable - Perfect Nozzle Alignment - Click for more info
The Guarder reinforced tappet plate has the reputation of being the best out there by the majority of Airsoft techs due to its durability and precise build which encourages perfect nozzle alignment. The tappet plate is constructed from reinforced nylon polymer which has the perfect amount of rigidity without being vulnerable to sudden fractures under heavy load as a conventional polycarbonate tappet might.
This part was chosen for the ATLAS based on its impressive performance in the ONYX [Forged Edition], adding strength and giving this essential internal part the best chance of withstanding the ultra-high rate of fire the ATLAS platform provides.
Gate TITAN II Bluetooth MOSFET V2
Improves efficiency - Provides pre-cocking function - Protects circuitry
The Gate TITAN II is the latest generation of Gate TITAN MOSFET and now includes Bluetooth 5.2 technology, compatibility with many upcoming products in what Gate term its “ecosystem” and further improvements to the TITAN sensor suite.
The new TITAN II has even more trigger sensitivity settings available than the previous, with over 50 settings for the first millimetre of trigger travel alone. Via its gear movement sensor, the TITAN II has the ability to track the movement direction of each tooth of each gear, making this the first MOSFET in the world with this capability, providing even more precise cycle control than previous Gate ASTER and TITAN MOSFETs.
The TITAN II provides the same functionality as the previous version used in the ONYX, including Pre-cocking, Burst mode, Binary trigger, adaptive active braking and trigger sensitivity adjustment. The optical sensor suite within the TITAN II is used to track the movement of the gears, piston, and trigger to ensure the gears complete a full cycle with each trigger pull and the gears stop exactly where they should. The TITAN II MOSFETs installed in the Bolster Armouries ATLAS are pre-setup with the optimal settings for the platform and provide instantaneous trigger response and premium-level functionality, including protection against over-discharge of your battery, short-circuits, and overheating.
Just like its predecessor, the TITAN II has remarkably low power consumption and includes a "sleep mode" which activates when the ATLAS has not been fired for some time. This has been improved in the second iteration of the TITAN which boasts a remarkably low current draw, a mere 0.1mA which is ⅓ that of the previous TITAN. This protects your battery in the event that you forget to disconnect it after a skirmish while other MOSFETs may drain the battery entirely over time, rendering the battery useless.
The settings programmed into the TITAN II MOSFET by the Bolster Armouries tech team have been selected to provide the absolute optimum settings for the ATLAS platform. The pre-set configuration has the rate of fire control function set to "off" (as it should be!) and the trigger equaliser set to "level one" to reduce the movement needed to fire a shot to an absolute minimum.
Battery protection and cycle control are active and pre-cocking is set to manual and tuned perfectly for an optimal balance between trigger response, longevity and rate of fire. The fire selector is set to SAFE-SEMI-AUTO, but it is possible to program the ATLAS for burst modes if you prefer. These settings have been programmed in by the Bolster Team to get the best possible performance from the ATLAS, but if you would like to alter the settings please contact the Bolster Armouries team for advice before doing so.
Warhead Industries CNC Ultra High speed (M) Motor 36k RPM - CNC Machined 7075 Aluminium housing
Reduces heat build-up - Exceptionally high rate of fire - Electronic speed control
The motor is perhaps the most important part when it comes to providing extreme levels of performance in an Airsoft AEG, though with a faster motor comes the need to upgrade other internal components to prevent premature failure. In a home build, this often results in an "arms race" of parts so to speak, as whenever a part is upgraded it will require another part to be upgraded to prevent damage and maximize the AEGs potential.
The Bolster Armouries tech team is confident that their gearbox internals are the best available, and the only motor option that provides the speed, smooth running, and longevity to get the most out of the other enhanced parts would be the Warhead Industries Ultra High Speed motor. Known for their innovation and pushing the limits of Airsoft performance, Warhead Industries provide the best Airsoft motor around; utilizing the most up-to-date technology to provide a previously unheard of torque to weight ratio, and impressive heat dispersion.
The Warhead motor is housed inside a CNC machined 7075 aluminium shell with ribs machined in to reduce heat build-up within the motor, avoiding one of the primary causes of motor failure with their pioneering design. Utilizing "brushless" motor technology, the Warhead Ultra High Speed motor is considerably quieter than a standard motor, and uses superior quality Neodymium magnets combined with a hand-wound, temperature resistant copper stator wind to provide its incredible 36,000 revolutions per minute cyclic rate.
Conventional brushed motors suffer immensely from heat build-up when operated for more than 30 seconds continuously, due to the high internal friction generated. In a brushless motor, the main source of heat build-up is simply friction with the air which can be kept at a manageable level for far longer. With the Warhead motor installed, your trigger finger will get tired far sooner than your ATLAS Advanced Support Gun will!
This motor also includes an Electronic Speed Control (ESC) module, which is hidden beneath a CNC machined aluminium cover at the base of the motor. This circuit controls and regulates the speed of the motor whilst providing low voltage cut-off and over-current-draw protection, providing an additional level of safety for your high performance Bolster Armouries ATLAS AEG.
For the skirmisher who is fed up with the expense and time commitment of chasing that ever-elusive perfect performance, or for a new player who wants to pick up a highly upgraded Airsoft Support Gun and get stuck in straight away with the best kit available, the ATLAS has it all covered. The Bolster Armouries team has done all the legwork, testing, troubleshooting, and setup, all you need to do is get out and lay down a torrent of overwhelming fire to keep the enemy at bay!
You can do so with confidence due to the Bolster Armouries 24-month Warranty and Service package supplied with each Bolster Armouries RIF; if anything fails the Bolster team will see that it is resolved as a priority and have you ready to shoot again in no time!
The ATLAS Advanced Support Gun Platform builds on experience gleaned over a very successful first year of operation for the original ONYX and ONYX [Forged Edition] AEGs, adding the latest and greatest internal upgrades from Gate to the Bolster Armouries blueprint, including the cutting-edge TITAN II Bluetooth MOSFET, granting functionality rarely seen in a pre-built Airsoft AEG.
This is the closest you will get to "pay to win" when Airsofting; the range, rate of fire and accuracy of the ATLAS are beyond any mass produced AEG we have ever seen. Coupling this high performance bar with an LMG-style setup packing a 3500-round auto-winding box magazine provides a significant volume of fire advantage that simply cannot be matched, even by other purpose-built support gun platforms.
As a perfect hybrid of LMG performance and assault rifle ergonomics, the ALTAS Advanced Support Gun leads the way in outdoor environments and can still do its business up close and personal thanks to the retention of the semi-automatic mode and compatibility with more compact M4/AR-15 AEG magazines.
If you are the type who appreciates wielding an unfair advantage in game and you reserve the right to have a heavy trigger finger the ATLAS Advanced Support Gun will give you the edge over anything else you’ll encounter on the skirmish field!

Further Information
Battery
During the testing process, the Bolster Armouries techs found that the ATLAS platform performs at its peak when using 11.1V 25C LiPo batteries. The use of a battery with a lower discharge rate (C rating) may cause FPS fluctuation issues and a drop in performance, and this is not considered a fault under the Bolster Armouries warranty. Please carefully consider which battery you use in the ATLAS; with this level of internal precision and with a 36K motor and a TITAN MOSFET II installed the AEG will require a very specific battery setup to perform at its best.
