Description
Camouflage clothing helps keep you hidden by breaking up your outline profile by using patterns and colours which match the environment, causing a poorly trained eye to not detect a human shape as the 'visible edges' of the target have been broken down by the use of camouflage. Traditional camouflage is only so effective as it is a 2D pattern with no depth or shadows. A concealment veil works in the same way as a Ghillie Suit, in that it is a 3D pattern made of physical material, and not just a pattern printed onto clothing. This adds shadows to your profile and breaks down your profile even further, helping trick the human eye into thinking there's nothing there. This style of 'head veil' has recently been made popular by an appearance in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare.
