Big Dragon 1x25 Miniature Rifle Reflex Sight

The Miniature Rifle reflex sits somewhere between a normal micro red dot sight and a full-sized red dot sight for rifles. Where the Miniature Rifle reflex differs from its rivals is in field of view, sporting an additional 3mm of lens over T1 style sights. This may not sound like a lot, but it makes all the difference to how the sight feels viewing through it, providing a view closer to a full-size 30mm tube. The advantage of the wider field of view will become apparent in CQB, where that extra bit of visibility may help you locate and deal with a threat!

The Miniature Rifle reflex comes with a low mount for 20mm Picatinny rails pre-installed, but includes a riser mount for co-witness with M4/AR15 iron sights. This offers you the option of a high mount for use on an M4, or a low mount for use on an AK or AR36 rifle, without having to buy additional mounting hardware! The sight is constructed from 7075 T6 forged Aluminium and is hard anodized in black; providing strength and a fully sealed design, whilst keeping the weight low.

The adjustment dials for the Miniature Rifle reflex can be found on the top and right of the sight, taking the form of rotary dials. These dials require a flat head screwdriver or the rim of a cartridge case to adjust, providing a tactile click with every turn, and adjusting in 1/2 MOA increments. The dials themselves are recessed into the body, ensuring they cannot get damaged, and do not protrude into your field of vision, obstructing your view of potential targets. The dial on the top of the sight adjusts the reticles up/down movement (elevation) and the dial on the right controls the left/right movement (windage). 

In front of the adjustment dials, we can find the illumination adjustment turret, which doubles as the on/off switch for the sight, as well as housing the single CR2032 button cell needed to power the sight (not included). In order to install the battery, simply unscrew the cap at the tip of the turret, either by hand or by using a flat head screwdriver and insert a single CR2032, with the positive terminal facing upwards. The turret provides 6 levels of brightness adjustment, allowing the sight to be used in low light environments, and bright sunlight on its higher settings. There are several "off" positions on the dial, indicated by a dot symbol, or an "n", which on the real firearm equivalent of this sight indicates its IR night vision mode.

The objective lens of the Miniature Rifle reflex has been multi-coated, and is set at a slight angle. Looking at the sight, you might assume it is broken, but the lens is set at this angle to increase light transmission, serving to refract light through the optic, rather than reflect it off a vertical lens which could also give your position away when sneaking! Provided with the Miniature Rifle reflex is a flip of objective lens cover, which has an integrated "kill flash" device, designed to further reduce any glare from the large front lens. 

This sight fills a unique niche, but as micro red dot sights on high mounts rapidly become the norm, it is a welcome improvement over other MRDS sights for use on a rifle. So, if you require a compact red dot sight with big red dot sight performance, the Minature Rifle reflex from Big Dragon has you covered!
