Description
The R607 is the latest in Army Armaments' ever-expanding line of Hi-Capa pistols which hybridize the competition-oriented Hi-Capa design with tactical and Military style features allowing this fast cycling, high-performance pistol to blend in seamlessly with a Military style loadout or civilian tactical setup. The R607 features a 3.8-inch outer barrel and a compact pistol grip, bringing the usually large service pistol-sized handgun into the realm of the compact pistol, offering the uniquely aggressive looks of the Army Armaments Hi-Capa series in a new, bite-sized form.
Starting at the tip of the alloy outer barrel we can see female 12mm CCW threads, which allow the R607 to attach a suppressor with the appropriate adapter for the sneaky look, or a tracer unit should you want to "light up" the enemy. At the top of the slide we are treated to slightly raised, suppressor height open iron sights, with the front sight including a high visibility light-enhancing fibre-optic insert. The combination of a light-enhancing front sight and a flat black rear sight is a very functional combination and leaves no chance of mistaking your rear sight dots with your front one, falling in line with the most modern trends in tactical handgun configurations. As we move rearwards, we arrive at the slide ports, which are crisply machined and serve not only to give the pistol its menacing looks but reduce the weight of the slide to increase the cyclic rate. The slide ports are surrounded by a machined groove, matching the angular serrations at the rear of the slide and doubling as a gripping surface for those who prefer to rack their pistol from the front of the slide. The ejection port of the R607 is crisply machined with a realistic shape, and within we can see the "9x19" markings on the chamber, accurately portraying the calibre of the real pistol. These markings are deeply engraved rather than painted or laser engraved, adding a touch more realism to the R607. Moving rearwards on the slide we come to the rear serrations, which are deeper and wider than those found on less modern designs. This allows for a more effective grip whilst wearing gloves, something traditional serrations such as those found on the original 1911 do not provide.
The adjustable HOP up of the R607 can be found on the outside of the outer barrel and is accessible when the slide has been removed for a field stip. This can be done by removing the magazine, cocking the pistol, then drawing the slide back to align the slide release lever with the disassembly notch (the smaller cut-out on the left side of the slide), after which the slide release lever can be pushed through from the right side, and the slide will come off towards the front of the pistol. The HOP adjustment gear can be found on the left side of the outer barrel assembly and includes a helpful marking indicating the direction of travel for increasing the HOP effect.
As we reach the controls of the R607 we can find familiar 1911/Hi-Capa style controls with modern enhancements such as weight reducing cuts and extensions allowing even someone with smaller hands to easily operate the pistol. The manual safety is ambidextrous, with the control mirrored on either side allowing a left-handed user to operate the safety quickly and efficiently. To add an additional level of safety this design includes a beavertail grip safety at the rear of the pistol grip which disables the trigger if the grip safety is not depressed, meaning that even with the light trigger of the Hi-Capa there is little chance of an accidental discharge. The slide release lever can be found on the left side and is accessible from a firing grip with minimal change to your shooting position. The trigger and hammer are both skeletonized designs, reducing weight and blending well with the overall style of the pistol. The trigger has very little take-up before the pistol fires, as is typical for Hi-Capa pistols, and a tactile and audible reset which is extremely short, allowing the R607 to be fired incredibly fast with enough practice. The operating surfaces of the trigger and hammer are both textured, aiding in grip and allowing the shooter to effectively control the pistol even in poor weather conditions. The magazine release can be found on the left side of the pistol, and is a classic American style button with a raised design, allowing fast access whilst avoiding being too raised and causing accidental ejection of the magazine when drawing from a retention holster or fabric universal holster.
The lower frame of Hi-Capa pistols is unlike most out there as the frame and pistol grip are separate parts. This allows the frame to be made from Alloy, affording it extra strength and giving the R607 the ever-so-satisfying metal on metal sound whilst firing. The pistol grip, being a separate part can be made from polymer, reducing the overall weight of the pistol and allowing more aggressive checkering to be applied on all surfaces for enhanced grip. The checkering on the grip of the R607 is one of the more effective designs we have seen and even provides excellent grip when wearing gloves, and the integrated trigger guard has undercuts allowing a high grip on the pistol for optimum control under the recoil forces of firing. The modular grip design also allows the pistol grip to be changed without transferring your frame components to a new frame, so should your taste change you can easily change up the looks of the R607.
With the R607 Hi-Capa fans now have an answer to the GLOCK 19! A welcome change from the trend of Hi-Capas getting longer and longer, moving towards use as a primary pistol in CQB rather than an all-around effective sidearm. The R607 provides the GLOCK 19's compact size but with Hi-Capa controls and the ultra-slick Hi-Capa trigger. Now Hi-Capa fans can have their cake and eat it too!

Joule Charts
Special Instructions
These table can be used as a reference to see if the BB weight you are using will be over acceptable Joulage limits at some Airsoft Sites in the UK. To check if the weight can be used chrono your weapon using the BB you intend to use, and then compare it to the chart.
FPS, Power and Joule Limits can vary from site to site, so please get in touch with where you're going to play with in advance to avoid disappointment.
Suggested limits are based on Joulage Limit rules used Halo Mill: Proving Grounds, with a 350fps limit for Automatic Replicas, 400fps for Semi-Automatic Replicas, and 500fps for Bolt Action Replicas.
Tap the tabs below to open the relevant chart for your replica.
This table should be used for reference, and cannot be used to check one weight against another, as the weight of the BB affects the power.
In order to check if the BB can be used with your replica chronograph using the weight you wish to use and then compare it against the table.
Every time you change weights you will need to re-chrono and check against the table. This is not a conversion chart between weights.
Suggested limits are based on Joulage Limit rules used Halo Mill: Proving Grounds, and is the equivalent of 350fps, using 0.20g BB resulting in an upper limit of 1.14j.
