A seriously mould-breaking firepower enhancement, the Acetech Volcano 40mm Airsoft Grenade Launcher combines tracer and muzzle flash functionality with a 40mm MOSCART grenade launcher. Powered by an internal rechargeable battery with the same broad functionality as the legendary Bifrost, the Volcano can be run in stand-alone configuration or mounted to an Airsoft rifle with a 20mm Picatinny bottom rail.

The Volcano is visually stunning when fired, raining glowing BBs down and lighting up the huge cloud of gas like a fireball, thus the name "Volcano". While MOSCART launchers are already a serious threat in CQB, the Volcano is that bit more intimidating!

On the outside, the Volcano is made almost entirely from robust high-density polymer, avoiding the excess weight of other launchers to keep you light on your feet despite your firepower advantage. Ideally used with Acetech Acehive rounds for the best tracer effect, but compatible with practically any MOSCART shell on the market, the Volcano is set to redefine Airsoft launchers as not just badass, but highly effective!

Description

If you're shopping launchers and prioritise in-game effectiveness, the Acetech Volcano 40mm Airsoft Grenade Launcher should be your next buy. Made predominantly from high density polymer with alloy and steel trim parts, the Volcano is all about performance, sidestepping the usual excessive weight of other 40mm MOSCART launchers and designed with ergonomics and versatility in mind.

The Volcano combines the capability to deploy 40mm MOSCART grenade shells with muzzle flash and tracer unit functionality, allowing you to rain glowing BBs on the enemy with near 100% hit probability at close range and enjoy a seriously impressive light-show as you do. The massive gas cloud emitted from the muzzle also lights up, providing the simulated fireball the Volcano was named for!

With an aggressive, modern look and accessory interfaces throughout the design, the Volcano can be used as a stand-alone backup platform or in weapon-mounted configuration thanks to its built-in 20mm Picatinny rail clamp. On the bottom, the Volcano is rocking a 20mm Picatinny rail and 2 additional rails are included in the box. These can be installed either on the top or left side of the launcher, or left off entirely for a more minimalist setup.

At the rear, we are treated to a 1913/20mm Picatinny stock interface just like the Sig MPX and MCX, allowing you to add the most modern stocks on the market if using the Volcano as a primary, from side-folding minimalist stocks to AR buffer tube adapters and more. The default pistol grip is an ultra-compact "sawn-off" style grip which is perfect for a platform-mounted Volcano but can be swapped out for full-sized GBBR or real steel AR-15 pistol grips at your discretion.

Above the grip on the left side of the receiver, we can find the safety catch which offers two positions: safe when the selector is positioned horizontally and fire when positioned vertically. The selector is easy to reach from a firing grip and clicks into place nicely with an audible and tactile click.

The trigger is a flat design and the trigger guard includes recesses so your finger has somewhere safe to be when you're not ready to engage. Inside the front of the trigger guard, we can find the barrel release latch which works the same way as the AG36 launcher; simply press it upwards, and the barrel will swing out to the left side, ready to be loaded. With your shell inserted, slap the barrel back into position, where it will lock in place. While it is compatible with almost any MOSCART shell, we recommend using Acetech Acehive shells for the best tracer effect!

On the right side of the barrel, we can find the control buttons. The front button is the tracer mode selector, and the rearmost button is the power button. With a combination of short and long presses, you can set the Volcano up with your preferred colour muzzle flash or deactivate the flash for when you're being sneaky. Available colours include red, orange, blue, green, purple, along with a red and orange combo and a purple and red combo. Detailed instructions are provided in the box, so we recommend getting familiar with the Volcano's plethora of modes before hitting the field.

Whether you want the weapon-mounted launcher look without the excess weight or need something to clear out your local CQB site in style, the Acetech Volcano 40mm Airsoft Grenade Launcher is one to watch. These table can be used as a reference to see if the BB weight you are using will be over acceptable Joulage limits at some Airsoft Sites in the UK. To check if the weight can be used chrono your weapon using the BB you intend to use, and then compare it to the chart.

FPS, Power and Joule Limits can vary from site to site, so please get in touch with where you're going to play with in advance to avoid disappointment.

Suggested limits are based on Joulage Limit rules used Halo Mill: Proving Grounds, with a 350fps limit for Automatic Replicas, 400fps for Semi-Automatic Replicas, and 500fps for Bolt Action Replicas.
