JJ Airsoft Red Dot Sight for AR-36 Platforms

The JJ Airsoft Red Dot Sight for AR-36 certainly looks unique. It's unlike any other red dot sight which is available on the market. The triangular shape of this sight makes it perfect for an AR-36 raised handle but with a riser mount, you can mount this futuristic optic at a comfortable height on any Airsoft platform. You will be sure to turn heads when people see this quirky optic sitting atop your rifle.

Unlike the real steel sight which looks similar, this sight has a red dot instead of the German Mildot-style reticle. Also, it doesn't feature any magnification, staying at 1x, so a magnifier would be required to effectively skirmish at range with this sight. Included with the product is a set of Allen keys and a CR1632 battery so you can get the sight up and running, plus the ability to adjust the windage and elevation so you can zero your red dot straight out of the box.

To adjust the windage, take the larger of the Allen keys provided with sight and insert it into the grub screw on the right of the sight. To move the red dot left rotate the screw anticlockwise and to adjust it right rotate the screw clockwise. This is handily marked on the scope itself. Similarly, to adjust elevation, the Allen key can be used on the grubscrew on top of the scope turning it anticlockwise lowers the red dot and clockwise raises the red dot. Make sure your sight is zeroed so you can line up perfect shots in your skirmishes.

The battery compartment can be found on the left side at the rear of the sight. It can be twisted off by hand or using a flathead screwdriver and when removed it shows a small compartment that houses the included CR1632 battery. This battery powers the red dot, which can then be turned on using the power button on the left side of the sight. Pressing the button once turns the red dot on at its brightest setting, then every time the button is pressed again it lowers the brightness slightly.

There are 7 settings of illumination to cycle through, this ensures that no matter what the ambient lighting condition may be, you will have the perfect level of illumination to ensure that you can line your all-important shots. If you want to turn off the red dot without having to cycle through the illumination levels you can hold down the power button for a few seconds and then release. This will turn off the red dot completely and when the power button is pressed again it will turn back on at the brightest setting.

The scope mounts to 20mm Picatinny rails, simply slide it onto your rail to the desired location then twist down the bolt on the left side of the scope. This can be done either by hand or using a flat-head screwdriver to make it easier. The lens sits close to the rail, optimal for the raised carry handle of an AR-36. So a riser may be required for a comfortable viewing experience when this sight is mounted to a standard M4 receiver.
