In case you haven’t heard, the VMP-2 is VORSKs second long-gun platform designed as a multi-role carbine available in 3 unique variants. This, the VMP-2MD is the “recce rifle” variant, locked to semi-automatic only and tuned to DMR FPS levels. The MD is rocking the same handguard and sliding adjustable stock as the M version with a cheek riser added along with an extended barrel, making it ideal for mobile marksmen playstyles and long-range outdoor warfare!

The VMP-2 is compatible with standard VMP-1/MP9 magazines and makes use of a unique chassis system with QD sling sockets on each side, compatibility with M4/AR-15 GBBR pistol grips and the prolific M4/AR-15 buffer tube at the rear, offering full compatibility with aftermarket AR-15 stocks.

The HOP-up unit is a unique design with an external TDC adjuster, ideal for convenient mid-game setting changes to make the most of changing conditions, not to mention being an inherently accurate design. The HOP-up bucking and inner barrel are also VSR-10 spec, giving you almost unlimited options when it comes to tuning performance to meet your needs.

Our VMP-2 batch has now landed and is ready for immediate dispatch! Those who’ve already made their mind up, get your order in now to make sure you get one of the first VMP-2 platforms available worldwide!

Description

If you're already rocking a VMP-1 and want a DMR which takes the same mags, the VORSK VMP-2MD GBB DMR is ideal! Sharing magazine compatibility with its smaller sibling with a multi-role, modular design just begging to be customised, the VMP-2MD is the “Recce Rifle” version, equipped with a semi-auto locked trigger group and hitting out at an average of 410 FPS +/- 10% on 0.2g BBs and standard green gas, ideal for landing hits on those long-range foes.

Internally, the VMP-2 is a very well-thought-out design, making use of VSR/GBB-type inner barrels and HOP-up buckings housed in a TDC HOP-up unit with an external tool-less adjuster for convenient in-game tuning. While it is a GBB, the action is remarkably efficient thanks to its short bolt throw which also contributes to its respectable consistency and accuracy. Inside the receiver, the VMP-2 is equipped with rubber buffers to prolong receiver and bolt lifespan and if you fancy a change of pace, the trigger group and nozzle are interchangeable with those of the assaulter variant which are soon to be available separately!

Externally, the VMP-2MD is ready to rock with the most modern accessories out there, equipped with an M-LOK handguard and 20mm Picatinny railed receiver, ready for your optic, flashlight, laser or whatever else you need to complete the mission at hand. The stock can be swapped out for practically any M4/AR-15 sliding stock and the pistol grip is GBBR/real steel compatible, giving you an almost unlimited range of pistol grip options to get the perfect feel. Overall, the build is lightweight but extremely sturdy, making it far easier than most GBBRs to use and the perfect step up from comparatively boring AEGs.

Starting at the front, we can find the unique VORSK 5-lug QD flash hider, providing an aggressive look and allowing the VORSK QD suppressor to be mounted directly. The VORSK suppressor really suits the styling of the VMP-2MD but if you have other plans you can remove the flash hider by removing the 3 retaining grub screws and then unthreading it, revealing 14mm CCW male barrel threads. Tracer units, suppressors and alternative muzzle devices are a go for the VMP-2MD but this is only scratching the surface of its built-in customisation options!

Moving rearwards, we come to the handguard which is constructed from robust high density polymer similar to that used by G&G, keeping the front end light and strong in equal measure. The handguard is rocking M-LOK slots at the 3, 6, and 9 o’clock positions, giving you plenty of options as to where you position your M-LOK accessories. The offset positions are fantastic for mounting a tactical flashlight, keeping it tight into the platform for an elite look and superb handling qualities.

Running along the top, we have a 20mm Picatinny rail which extends rearwards to meet the receiver rail seamlessly, allowing for practically any optical sight setup to be mounted with minimal fuss. Pre-installed on the top rail we have a set of open light-enhancing iron sights with green inserts, giving you sights which are easy to acquire quickly and great for low-light shooting. The sights are removable in case you need all your rail space for other equipment but don’t take up much space when mounted and are very low profile, meaning you’ll be able to mount most scopes without needing to remove them.

Moving down to the receiver, we can find an alloy upper receiver mated with a high-density polymer lower featuring VORSK’s unique V texture which matches perfectly with that of the stock. On the top of the upper receiver, we can find our TDC adjustable HOP-up dial, allowing you to tune the VMP-2M for various ammo weights and extend your range, seeking the flattest possible trajectory. The TDC design means the pressure is directly applied to the top of the HOP-up bucking, resulting in a stronger-than-average HOP-up effect and minimal side-to-side deviation. Both the HOP-up bucking and inner barrel are both Tokyo Marui VSR/GBB spec, meaning the sky is the limit when it comes to upgrades!

The right side of the upper receiver features a flawless VMP-2 recessed marking with the iconic VORSK “V” logo alongside, discretely displaying its brand pedigree. Over on the left, we have our manufacturer markings with a unique serial number laser etched in white, great for theft prevention. The mock ejection port is on the right side but the charging handle can be installed on either the right or the left depending on your handling preferences and whether you are left or right-handed.

Between the upper and lower receivers, you’ll notice a serrated catch present on either side. This is the bolt hold open/release catch, allowing you to manually lock the bolt open by pulling it outwards with the charging handle held back or release the bolt after the magazine is empty by pushing it in. The bolt catch is positioned similarly to an M4/AR-15 platform meaning reloads will be relatively familiar for AR GBBR users but its presence on either side makes the VMP-2 far easier to work for left-handed shooters. Present on either side of the trigger guard, we can find the two-position fire selector switch, offering 2 modes of fire; safe and semi-auto. The safe position is in the middle, with semi at the top and both modes are indicated with colour-coded dot pictograms. The switch boasts a serrated surface and is easily within reach of the trigger finger, allowing for fast mode changes and “sights off, safety off” manipulation for the pros.

The magazine release is a dual-function design, offering an ambidextrous paddle magazine release on the bottom and an M4/AR-15 style push-through mag release on the left side of the magazine well. This means you have the option of using whichever mag release you’re most familiar with, similar to the legendary MP5 and G3 platforms. The AR style release is a bit hard to reach from a firing grip but is great for “strip and rip” retention reloads while the paddle mag release can easily be reached from a firing grip with the tip of the trigger finger, whether you are left or right-handed.

Next up, we come to the pistol grip which is a unique VORSK design styled to match the 1911 pistol’s grip panels, providing plenty of traction for wet weather use and a comfortable angle which will suit most hand sizes. Each side of the grip features the 1911’s diamond checkering and a VORSK logo roundel and the rear includes linear serrations to further enhance gripping qualities. The VMP-2 chassis is confirmed to be compatible with aftermarket GBBR spec M4/AR-15 pistol grips as well as real steel AR-15 pistol grips, giving you loads of customisation possibilities so you can kit your rifle out to suit your exact needs!

On each side of the rear of the receiver, we are treated to steel QD sling sockets, ready for QD sling swivels to be added. We have already tested these sockets with the HASTA Adaptive Mission Sling Gen.4 and it works a treat, allowing you to make use of the receiver sockets for a single-point setup or the stock sockets if you prefer a two-point sling. QD Sling sockets allow you to quickly release or reconfigure your sling on the fly; a highly functional feature present in almost every modern firearms design.

At the rear of the VMP-2M, we have the prolific M4/AR-15 buffer tube, providing 6 adjustment positions for the unique VORSK sliding stock. Adjusting the stock is as simple as holding down the adjustment lever on the bottom and sliding the stock into your chosen position. Each side of the stock continues the VORSK V texture present on the handguard and receiver, tying the aesthetic together for a completed look. One of the best features of this stock is the presence of a generous 3 QD sling sockets on each side, allowing you to set your sling up to suit you perfectly. If you have a preferred stock design or fancy a new look later down the line, the buffer tube is compatible with almost every M4/AR-15 sliding stock on the market!

The stock also has an adjustable cheek rest, allowing you to set it up in the perfect position for comfort. It offers five levels of height and can be adjusted by unscrewing all four of the screws and then moving the cheek rest between heights. Once you have chosen your desired height, retighten the screws to ensure that it stays at your preferred height, this is excellent for mastering the platform as you will be able to look down the sights in the same position every time you pick up this DMR.

Inside, the VMP-2MD is a unique design but makes use of the best out there when it comes to standard Airsoft parts. The HOP-up bucking and inner barrel are both VSR/GBB spec, giving you a vast amount of options for upgrades and tuning while making use of what is considered by most to be the best HOP-up style for accuracy and range. The receiver also includes a rubber buffer to extend the lifespan of the bolt and receiver itself, something usually added to GBBRs by the user after purchase.

The real perk of the VMP-2 internals is its modularity; allowing you to change trigger groups between semi-auto only and semi/full auto select fire and switch nozzles to increase power. This means you can run your VMP-2MD as a DMR one day and switch it out for CQB-friendly parts for the next skirmish. The parts to carry out this conversion will be available very soon but be warned, altering the internals will void your warranty so we only recommend this for the technically proficient.

If you're after a DMR in GBB flavour and don't want to expend effort building one from scratch, the VMP-2MD is ideal. With a lightweight and agile build, great gas efficiency for a GBBR and a full ecosystem of internal upgrades and modular options coming very soon, the VORSK VMP-2MD GBB DMR is at the cutting edge!
