VORSK VMP-2D GBB DMR

If you're looking for a lightweight DMR option, this may just be the one for you! The VORSK VMP-2D GBB DMR is a brand-new design, there is nothing on the Airsoft market identical to this. It is the perfect DMR choice for any skirmisher looking to stay nimble whilst also being able to engage long-distance foes with an impressive FPS of up to 450. Based on the success of the original VMP-1, Vorsk set its eyes on a new style of platform. Creating a set of DMRs and pistol calibre carbines for skirmishers who prefer longer distance engagements. They fit the DMR role well but manage to keep the weight minimal so you don't lose your agility whilst racing around a skirmish field.

Starting at the front of the 16" outer barrel, you will find the unique VORSK 5-lug QD suppressor mount surrounding the large and in-charge ported muzzle brake. This attachment mechanism allows for a VORSK VMP quick detachable suppressor to be mounted or removed in a split second, depending on whether you want to sneak about or cut down on overall length for operations in tighter spaces.

Underneath the menacing muzzle brake and QD mounting mechanism, there are also 14mm CCW male threads which can be accessed by removing the three grub screws around the muzzle brake's circumference and unthreading it as you would a standard flash hider. If you have your own suppressor or tracer unit already you can mount it straight away for a sneaky look or if you enjoy the tracer unit light show!

Moving rearwards, we find the high-density polymer M-LOK handguard. The polymer used is very high quality and feels incredible in the hands, as well as very durable, perfect for attaching your mission essential attachments. Running along the top of the handguard is a 20mm Picatinny rail, which means you can set this DMR up with a massive scope or sight and magnifier set up and still have plenty of rail real estate for other Picatinny attachments.

One thing Vorsk is proud of when it comes to the VMP-2 models is their modularity; the barrel, handguard and nozzle can be freely changed to reconfigure your platform for different combat scenarios and battlefield requirements. So if you find yourself skirmishing at a site which has closer engagement ranges, you can make your VMP-2 more compact to suit the playing field.

The receiver also has a 20mm Picatinny top rail, however, both rails are not connected due to the TDC HOP-up unit. The receiver top rail is the perfect place to mount a red dot sight or an illuminated scope depending on your preferred style and engagement distance.  Pre-installed on the top rail we have a set of open light-enhancing iron sights with green inserts, giving you sights which are easy to acquire quickly and great for low-light shooting. The sights are removable in case you need all your rail space for other equipment but don’t take up much space when mounted and are very low profile, meaning you’ll be able to mount most scopes without needing to remove them.

As previously mentioned, the TDC adjustable HOP-up dial is present on top of the receiver, which allows you to tune the VMP-2M for various ammo weights and extend your range, seeking the flattest possible trajectory. The TDC design means the pressure is directly applied to the top of the HOP-up bucking, resulting in a stronger-than-average HOP-up effect and minimal side-to-side deviation. Both the HOP-up bucking and inner barrel are Tokyo Marui VSR/GBB spec, meaning upgrade parts are prevalent!

Moving down to the receiver, we can find an alloy upper receiver mated with a high-density polymer lower featuring VORSK’s unique V texture which matches perfectly with that of the stock. The right side of the upper receiver features a flawless VMP-2 recessed marking with the iconic VORSK “V” logo, discretely displaying its brand pedigree. Over on the left, we have our manufacturer markings with a unique serial number laser etched in white, great for theft prevention.

The mock ejection port sits on the right, while the charging handle is ambidextrous and can be screwed on either side for user preference but does not come preinstalled and is a separate part in the box. A serrated bolt catch on both sides allows you to manually lock the bolt open by pulling it outwards with the charging handle held back or release the bolt after the magazine is empty by pushing it in. The bolt catch is positioned similarly to an M4/AR-15 platform meaning reloads will be relatively familiar for AR GBBR users. Its ambidextrous design makes the VMP-2 especially left-hand friendly.

The two-position fire selector sits on both sides of the trigger guard, with safe (bottom) and semi-auto (top) marked by colour-coded dots. The switch boasts a serrated surface and is easily within reach of the trigger finger, allowing for fast mode changes and “sights off, safety off” manipulation for the pros.

Moving down to the magazine release, take note of its dual-function design, which offers either an ambidextrous paddle or a standard push button on the left of the receiver. This means you can use whichever mag release you’re most familiar with, similar to the legendary MP5 and G3 platforms. The AR style release is a bit hard to reach from a firing grip but is great for “strip and rip” retention reloads while the paddle mag release can easily be reached from a firing grip with the tip of the trigger finger, whether you are left or right-handed.

Next up, we come to the pistol grip which is a unique VORSK design styled to match the 1911 pistol’s grip panels, providing plenty of traction for wet weather use and a comfortable angle which will suit most hand sizes. Each side of the grip features the 1911’s diamond checkering and a VORSK logo roundel and the rear includes linear serrations to further enhance gripping qualities. The VMP-2 chassis is confirmed to be compatible with aftermarket GBBR spec M4/AR-15 pistol grips as well as real steel AR-15 pistol grips, giving you loads of customisation possibilities so you can kit your rifle out to suit your exact needs!

On each side of the rear of the receiver, we are treated to steel QD sling sockets, ready for QD sling swivels to be added. We have already tested these sockets with the HASTA Adaptive Mission Sling Gen.4 and it works a treat, allowing you to make use of the receiver sockets for a single-point setup or the stock sockets if you prefer a two-point sling.

At the rear of the VMP-2D, we have the prolific M4/AR-15 buffer tube and a unique VORSK fixed stock. The stock position cannot be adjusted in terms of length but can be swapped out for a different stock if that suits your style. Each side of the stock continues the VORSK V texture present on the handguard and receiver, tying the aesthetic together for a completed look. One of the best features of this stock is the presence of generous 3 QD sling sockets on each side, allowing you to set your sling up to suit you perfectly.

The stock has an adjustable cheek rest, allowing you to set it up in the perfect position for comfort. It offers five levels of height and can be adjusted by unscrewing all four of the screws and then moving the cheek rest between heights. Once you have chosen your desired height, retighten the screws to ensure that it stays at your preferred height, this is excellent for mastering the platform as you will be able to look down the sights in the same position every time you pick up this DMR.

Special Instructions

The VORSK VMP-2 requires lubrication with 100% silicone lubricant before use for optimal performance. Both the internals of the gun and the magazine arrive dry from the factory and won't perform perfectly until lubricated. Abbey Silicone Gun Oil 35 Dropper is our recommended lubricant for this task.
