S&T 2000rnd Box Magazine for M249/MK46 LMG - Sound Control

If you are shopping for a spare box magazine you must be fulfilling your role as a support gunner very effectively! The more rounds you put down, the better chance your team has of completing its objectives. With that in mind, S&T has made their 2000rnd Box Magazine available separately, for those longer operations and weekend events, or for those support gunners who are particularly unmerciful and dump BBs on the enemy like it's going out of fashion.

The magazine can be loaded through the fill window which is located on the left side of the magazine; ideally positioned for quick top-ups when there is a lull in the firefight. The window can be opened by pulling the polymer tab between the steel feed tubes down. The battery compartment is located at the bottom of the magazine and can be accessed by unzipping the fabric cover. With the zip undone, you will see a polymer battery cover, beneath which you insert your two AA batteries. The use of AA batteries for this magazine is super convenient, as no matter how last minute you make your skirmish preparations you will be able to pick up spare batteries at practically any shop, and at an affordable price too!

Below the battery compartment, you will find the power switch for the magazine which has three positions. The central position is the "off" position and will kill power to the magazine, but will not decompress the BBs in the feed chute. If you need to do this at the end of the game you can do it the same way you would with a normal mag, by pulling the BB retainer catch at the top of the magazine rearwards with the top of the mag pointed in a safe direction (preferably a BB bottle!).

The left-most position is the "AUTO" mode, which will wind the mag continually whilst the button is in this position. The right-most position is the "sound control" mode, which winds the magazine when your AEG is fired and works using a small sensor inside the mag. This gives you all the options in how to use your box mag, and if you have a particularly fast shooting LMG and the sound control cannot keep up you will be able to rectify that manually with the "AUTO" mode.

So, if you attend weekend Milsim events as a support gunner, or you just really love shooting and filling the air with your BBs to keep the enemy at bay, this magazine would be a useful addition to your loadout.
