Just like the real L85, this Airsoft replica is a bullpup configuration weapon, with the Magazine located behind the trigger group. ICS’s proprietary SA80 gearbox features a revolutionary adjustable spring setting, allowing users to alter the output of their gun’s FPS through 3 settings (Low, Medium and High) without having to completely dismantle the gearbox or remove the spring; an invaluable feature for Airsofters who attend multiple sites with differing FPS levels. The system also means that the spring can be changed quickly, if required.

Based on the A2 variant of the L85, as rebuilt by H&K from 2001 – 2003, this replica accurately recreates the look and feel of the L85A2. The most notable change is the redesigned polymer handguard, a single piece polymer unit. This is where the battery is stored on ICS’s Airsoft replica, and conveniently it provides ample room for AEG batteries. The other notable A2 features are the reshaped ‘comma’ cocking handle, and the shroud around the magazine release, designed to prevent users from accidentally dropping magazines – an invaluable feature, we’re sure you’ll agree.

The L85 features a 19mm STANAG 'dovetail' type rail for mounting the supplied iron sights/carry handle. The sights are fully adjustable for elevation and windage, and the rear sight has two apertures; a small ‘peep’ hole for precision shooting and a normal ‘open’ battle sight. This rail will also fit the SA80's iconic SUSAT optic, however 20mm RIS adaptors can be added, to allow the mounting of other optics.

**Special Instructions**

The carry handle is for cosmetic look only, and should not be used to carry the rifle, the rifle is too heavy to sustain the weight of it on just the handle.  Do not carry this rifle with what is the rear sight system on the L85 airsoft rifle.

The externals of the replica are metal where they would be on the real world gun. This includes things like the outer barrel, handguard, and receiver. If a real world gun has polymer parts then the gun will still be marked as full metal externals, examples of this would be an M4, where the Stock and Pistol Grip are always made from Polymer.
