WE Europe M1911 GBB Pistol; Pre Two-Tone

WE Europe brings us an Airsoft replica of the iconic 1911. Used since the date of it's namesake, this pistol has been used extensively in two world wars and is still used widely today; Truly a pistol that has stood the test of time, this variant features the more traditional no frills design, no need for any modern cons!.

WE has been well known for their top quality pistols over the years and continuing with that pedigree this 1911 features heavier (dare I say better?)  recoil than some of WE's competitors, this high performance pistol is reliable and efficient when it comes to gas usage resulting in faster cycle rates than the average 1911.

Possibly best of all the pistol comes factory painted in two tone blue, meaning no waiting for a paint service to get it sent out so you can get skirmishing with a piece of history

With full alloy construction externally, this pistol has a realistic weight and lets out an awesome metal on metal clack as it is fired. The contrast between the brushed bare metal finish of the outer barrel and the smooth matt black frame and slide prove that the simple things can still stand out.

The first feature to note on this pistol is the 11mm inner barrel thread, which when used with a thread adaptor you will have the option to attach a whole host of aftermarket tactical equipment such as silencers, tracer units and muzzle devices to give your 1911 that personalised feel, or whatever might suit the mission at hand best..

The frame is of a traditional style and as such does not have a rail on it, but should you want to add one is compatible with 1911 rail adaptors which wrap around the trigger guard if you fancy some more modernity on your transitional 1911. 

With an ambidextrous manual safety on either side of the frame, easily accessible with either thumb, you are guaranteed a fast draw and engagement with a little practice. The beavertail style grip safety is extended to ensure it is depressed properly when the pistol is gripped, but keeps the pistol relatively immune from negligent discharges, provided you do your part.

Moving on to the grip, the pistol treats us with ergonomic side plates, which are textured in a checkered fashion, meaning you'll have extra security when holding this pistol, either with gloves or without gloves. 

Internally, the adjustable hop-up can be found beneath the slide following a field strip and is compatible with enhanced hop rubbers for TM pistols or WE GBB rifles allowing you to potentially extend the range of this pistol to that approaching a rifle! Worth noting is that this 1911 has the barrel bushing style of disassembly, meaning to remove the barrel from the slide you will need to press the recoil spring in from the front of the slide and rotate the barrel bushing, after which the barrel can be removed.

The pistol comes with an alloy green gas magazine, which is filled with gas from the bottom using any standard Airsoft green gas bottle, and is filled with up to 15 BBs from the front when the BB guide is pulled to the bottom.and at the rear of the mag well is a lanyard loop, allowing lanyards to be used to prevent the loss of a weapon should you drop it.
