WADSN X300 Tactical Pistol Light

The X300 pistol flashlight has been around in one form or another for many years now and is still regarded as the "gucci" pistol flashlight of choice for CQB and low light scenarios. The X300 is designed for use on pistols, but can also be mounted on a rifle and used effectively thanks to its dual "rocker" switch activation method. WADSN's X300 offers an impressive 400 lumens of white light output, burying its competitors and providing a dazzling flashlight with a tight "hot point" allowing the flashlight to be used both to disorient the enemy as you enter the room and as a makeshift aiming device for up close and personal work. 

The activation switches, known as a "rocker" switch, can be found at the rear of the flashlight body. This switch can be activated from either side and provides momentary on with a quick push forward, and constant on with a full push to either the bottom or the top, with either side's switch. The battery compartment can be found beneath the switch and can be accessed by pushing the textured release catch on the underside of the light forwards, after which the battery compartment can be hinged open. The WADSN X300 requires 2x CR123a batteries to operate, either standard disposable or rechargeable cells. 

The mount supplied on the X300 is a QD universal mount, intended to function with both standard 20mm Picatinny and pistol rails. To install the light onto your pistol or rifle with the pre-installed mount, all you need to do is hold the textured polymer tabs on either side of the light mount down and slide the light onto your rail, aligning the raised protrusion in the mount insert with a recess in the rail. 

If you find the fit is a bit loose on your weapon of choice, no need to fret, WADSN has thrown in three additional options as far as mounting is concerned! Included in the box you will find a replacement mount plate with a "P" embossed on its upper surface, this is the pistol optimised mount, and is designed to provide a solid fit with EU series pistols, SIG pistols and Glock pistols. Also in the box, a "fixed" mount is included, with inserts for both pistol rails and standard 20mm Picatinny rails. This mount can be swapped out with the pre-installed QD mount, and combined with either of the inserts to provide a more stable and permanent mounting solution. The inserts for the "fixed" mount are labelled with an embossed "P" for the pistol variant, and "U" for the universal/ Picatinny insert.

So, if you are a CQB player looking for an extra split second of confusion to bag some kills, the X300 is literally designed for the task. If you attend weekender skirmishes or night skirmishes, you will have to eat a lot of carrots to see better in the dark than 400 lumens of blinding white light will allow you to!
