The Specna Arms SA-249 PARA CORE is a lightweight yet incredibly tough LMG powered by Electric. Lightweight is in quotation marks as it has a Polymer Receiver, Handguard and Pistol Grip so that it is comfortable to use for long periods of time, but still comes in at just shy of 5kg. Coming packed with a Quick Change Spring System, Micro-switch Trigger Unit, Steel Gear Set and Electric Auto-Winding Box Magazine, what's not to love?

Description

The Specna Arms SA-249 series are a range of Airsoft Light Machine Guns, with extra emphasis on light, that accurately replicate the M249 series of 5.56x45mm NATO LMGs. They are built using Alloy for the important sections such as the Outer Barrel Assembly, Magazine Well and Stock, but have used Polymer where possible (Receiver, Handguard etc.) to keep it at a usable weight. That being said, this model still clocks in just short of 5kg, making it very solid. Not only are they relatively easy to carry around the skirmish field, but they are equipped with the usual Specna goodies such as a Quick Change Spring System, Micro-switch Trigger Unit and Rotary HOP Unit, which makes them slick and easy to tinker with.

The SA-249 MK1 CORE is a Front Wired Design, that houses the Mini Tamiya Connector inside the Handguard, which can be accessed by pulling back and downwards on the Handguard to release the sleeve. This sleeve then push-fits back into place once your Battery is installed. Here you will also notice the Steel-constructed Bipod, which can be easily deployed by squeezing the Legs together and moving them out into position. The Receiver features a 20mm Rail which can be used to mount a range of Scopes, Sights and Optics. Alternatively, you can make use of the included Ironsights instead.

The Quick Change Spring System is a welcome feature, and allows you to quickly change out the Main Spring of the Gun by removing the Stock Assembly for quick access to the Spring Guide. This is ideal for tinkerers, and those who play at multiple sites, all with their own muzzle velocity limits. The Gearbox is operated by a Microswitch Trigger which makes for a pleasant Trigger Pull, removes the likelihood of damage via Carbon Buildup on the Trigger Contacts, and reduces the chances of the Gearbox locking up due to incorrect Trigger Pulls. Other internal goodies include 8mm Bearings, a set of Steel Gears to take the strain of consistent fire, and an Alloy Rotary HOP to fine tune your BB Flight Path.

This LMG is incredibly easy to use, and doesn't have much in the way of complicated procedures, making it very easy to just pick up and use. The included 2,500rnd Box Magazine simply needs to be slotted in place under the Receiver, the Feed Tube connected to the Magwell of the Gun, a Battery connected and off you go! The Magazine requires 2 x AA Batteries, and is filled with BBs by removing the side panel and pouring them in to the 'top' section of the Mag. Alternatively, you can pour them through the small Fill Window by the Feed Tube. You then have the option of 'Continuous Winding', 'Off' or 'Sound Control', which will only wind when you fire the Gun (or otherwise make enough noise to Trigger the system). This means you can carelessly burn through an entire Box Magazine without worrying about stopping to wind.

Included in the box is a 2,500rnd Box Magazine, Instruction Manual and the gun itself. If you're looking to get into the Support Gunner role, or you want a big and beefy Machine Gun to tear up the Skirmish field, but you don't want to end up with noodle arms by the end of it, then the Specna Arms SA-249 PARA CORE is the way to go.
