Description

The S&T ST870 is one of the most well built Airsoft shotguns available today. A far cry from the squeaky plastic single-shot shotguns out there, this thing racks like a real shotgun and weighs a significant 3.8KG! With full metal furniture with a brushed metal finish, this 870 is a very close approximation of the M870 Marine Magnum variant, finished as such to prevent rust building on shotguns that spend most of their life at sea!

To add to the realistic finish, the S&T ST870 is based on the original Maruzen Type 870 which was modelled on the exact dimensions of the real article. The real wood handguard and grip complete this exceedingly classy look, meaning even if you aren't getting the kills a TM AA-12 user might, you are getting the kills you get with an air of skill and class they could never possibly live up to!

Starting from the front we find the full metal outer barrel, finished beautifully in a brushed metal silver, complete with an equally long mock shell tube, giving this M870 its aggressive Marine magnum look. The shell tube includes a steel sling loop and a knurled mock magazine cap.

The wooden pump grip includes ribs to keep that thing in your hand during rapid firing and mounts to sturdy alloy action bars. The action is smooth but does require some effort to cock, though not as much as a tri-shot shotgun. The receiver is one beefy piece of metal, looking at the mock ejection port you can see this receiver is 3mm thick at a minimum! Absolutely absent of screws present on the cheaper shotguns out there, this receiver uses steel pins and an Allen bolt to hold all the guts of the shotgun in.

On the bottom of the receiver, we can find the magazine well, in place of the shell loading port on a real shotgun. Once the magazine is inserted, it cleverly disguises the nature of this Airsoft shotgun and makes it look real by properly imitating the shell port door of a real M870. Behind the trigger we can find the nicely placed cross-bolt safety, meaning you will never struggle to find it when you have to engage in a hurry.

The right side of the receiver has S&T and their brand logo deeply engraved in, and the left side engravings read "Model 870 Super Magnum", completing the realistic look of the shotgun. The stock is real wood and features diamond checkering very nicely cut into the semi-pistol grip. At the butt, we can find a super-grippy rubber recoil pad which will keep this shotgun anchored to your shoulder in all situations.

Even if you only skirmish this when you feel the itch for something different, it will look positively badass mounted to your wall, just make sure it's not visible from a window, it's hard to tell this shotgun isn't real when you are handling it!
