- L119A2 Replica - Ideal for SAS/UKSF loadouts
If you're working on an L119A2 build for your SAS/UKSF loadout, why bother? The Rossi L119A2 Neptune SAS 10.5" AEG with MOSFET is a fantastic replica of the real steel L119A2 boasting full metal construction, a programmable MOSFET/ETU system and pre-upgraded internals, all assembled and ready to rock with no compatibility worries and no technical headaches!
Externally, the Rossi L119A2 is a very close match for the real thing, with the only compromise being its non-monolithic receiver design. The real thing has a monolithic upper, but the only available Airsoft replicas have a four-figure price tag and come as a kit, requiring a lot of technical expertise and other parts to complete the build.
With the Rossi L119A2, you are treated to some impressive stuff on the inside as a bonus. The version 2 gearbox shell is reinforced and equipped with 16:1 high-speed CNC steel gears, a ball bearing equipped quick change spring guide, a CNC aluminium nozzle, a polymer piston with a full steel tooth rack and a ball bearing piston head, resulting in top-notch reliability, improved rate of fire and easy spring changes for power tuning. The pre-installed MOSFET makes thing even sweeter, offering a wealth of programmable fire mode options, adjustable pre-cocking and trigger sensitivity with active braking to top it off.
If you want the Obiwan Nairobi look for your next skirmish, the Rossi L119A2 Neptune SAS 10.5" AEG with MOSFET is the primary you need!

Description
If you're into the UKSF look and you're seeking a new primary, the Rossi L119A2 Neptune SAS 10.5" AEG with MOSFET is exactly what you need. Based on the real steel Demaico/Colt Canada L119A2 used by the SAS, SBS and SRR, the Rossi AEG finally makes L119A2 ownership affordable in Airsoft terms, proving a solid, pre-built replica with superb build quality and thoroughly pre-upgraded internals on the inside.
The reinforced version 2 gearbox is rocking 16:1 CNC steel high-speed gears, a ball bearing quick change spring guide, an aluminium nozzle with O-ring, a polymer piston with a full steel tooth rack and a ball bearing piston head, giving you the speed to compete and the reliability for a long lifespan.
The pre-installed MOSFET in this, the latest generation of Rossi L119A2 provides loads of programmable functions, rivalling the best ETUs currently out there. These include 3 or 5 round burst, semi-auto only, binary trigger, adjustable pre-cocking and trigger sensitivity, AUG mode, sniper delay and active braking. All MOSFET functions can be accessed via the trigger and fire selector of the AEG, meaning no firmware updates and no hidden costs down the line!
Starting at the front, we can find an SF-style tri-prong flash hider mounted to 14mm CCW male threads at the tip of the alloy outer barrel. The tri-prong replica gives you a head start on making your L119A2 look "issued", matching L119A2's seen in the wild well. If you fancy a sneaky look for your L119A2, we suggest the 5KU USSOCOM 5.56 SF Spitfire Tracer Sound Suppressor as it is a very close match for the suppressor issued with the real thing, though the 14mm CCW threading means you can mount practically any flash hider, suppressor or tracer you desire!
Next up, we arrive at the handguard which, while not monolithic, is a fantastic replica of the real thing, patterned after the Angry Gun L119A2 rail. 20mm Picatinny rails are present at the 3, 6, 9 and 12 o'clock positions with the iconic L119A2 relief cuts running along either side. The rails are well placed for mounting accessories, with short lengths at the front on each side for flashlights or lasers and a single slot close to the receiver, ideally placed for a sling point. The top and bottom sport full-length rails, providing plenty of space to position a vertical or angled grip where you prefer and fit optical sights of practically any length without the setup becoming cramped.
The upper rail of the handguard meets the receiver's 20mm Picatinny rail seamlessly, mimicking the monolithic upper of the real L119A2 well without pumping costs up too high. The receiver itself follows the standard M4/AR-15 layout,
The charging handle is located at the top rear of the receiver and is an extended design similar to the real L119A2 charging handle but not a perfect match. Pulling the charging handle back will pop open the steel dust cover, reveal the steel mock bolt carrier and retract it to allow access to the rotary HOP-up unit. The rotary HOP-up unit is the latest design for M4/AR-15 platforms, benefitting over the older "gear" style unit in its ability to hold its setting under vibration and be adjusted in finer increments.
This rotary HOP-up also has some other tricks in store, including a pre-installed Maple Leaf OMEGA Delayer nub and Super Macaron HOP-up bucking, saving you time if you're the type who always upgrades their HOP-ups and giving you more accuracy than you deserve if not!
The fire selector switch is located on the left side of the receiver, just above the pistol grip and is a standard M4A1 mil-spec design with a textured surface for optimal traction in wet weather. The selector provides 3 modes of fire; safe, semi-automatic and fully automatic, with a 90-degree throw between each mode. Being equipped with a programmable MOSFET, the Rossi L119A2 can also be set up for semi-auto only, 3 or 5-round bursts, binary trigger, sniper delay and two-stage trigger aka AUG mode.
The magazine release button is over on the right side of the magazine well, a standard M4/AR-15 push button release but compatible with aftermarket ambidextrous alternatives. The button is surrounded by a raised protrusion in the receiver, known as the "magazine release fence" and designed to prevent the mag release from accidentally being pressed as the L119A2 rubs against your gear. Another great aspect of the AR-15 design, the magazine release is easily accessible from a firing grip, making for scorchingly fast reloads as long as you practice!
At the rear of the receiver, we come to the steel CQD style sling plate, which offers ambidextrous functionality with single-point slings; perfect for left or right-handed shooters. The steel construction of the sling plate practically guarantees even if you mount a massive rifle scope, PEQ box and RunCam, the sling plate will be strong enough to support the weight. Following the sling plate, we come to the good old AR buffer tube, constructed from alloy and offering 6 adjustment positions for the pre-installed stock, or any other M4/AR-15 AEG stock you choose to mount!
The stock itself is an A-frame design, similar to popular real steel stocks seen on the real thing but visually distinct in certain areas. The butt plate is angled and constructed from rubber for optimal grip for plate carrier users and the adjustment lever is concealed inside the A-frame design, keeping it well out of the way of snags. A QD sling socket is present on either side, ready for a QD sling swivel, together with conventional "footman loops", aka sling slots designed for strap slings.
The buffer tube serves as the battery compartment of the Rossi L119A2 and is accessible with the A-frame stock removed. To achieve this, simply pull the adjustment lever pin outwards and hold it in place, after which the stock can be slid off the rear of the buffer tube. Inside, you will find a Deans battery connector to which you mount your choice of battery. We recommend a 7.4V 1450mAh LiPo battery in stick configuration for easy installation.
Inside the reinforced version 2 gearbox we are treated to CNC 16:1 ratio steel gears running on 7mm ball bearing bushings, a polymer piston with a full rack of steel teeth, a CNC aluminium nozzle with an air seal enhancing O-ring, ball bearing equipped piston head, and quick change ball bearing spring guide. This gets you off to a flying start when it comes to performance, but it gets even better!
The HOP-up unit is equipped with the Maple Leaf OMEGA Delayer Nub, a flat HOP-style nub designed to increase range and accuracy. The OMEGA is paired with the Maple Leaf Super Macaron HOP-up rubber, a high-quality HOP-up rubber known for the tight groupings it provides. With a 6.02mm tightbore inner barrel thrown into the mix, the Rossi L119A2 hits out hard at range, with far more accuracy than one might expect for a short-barrelled AR platform!
Also present inside is a programmable ETU/MOSFET system, offering a wide variety of fire mode options along with adjustable pre-cocking, adjustable trigger sensitivity and the option to use active braking to prevent overspin. Fire mode options include 3 or 5-round burst, binary trigger, semi-auto only, AUG mode and sniper delay, all of which can be programmed in using the trigger and fire selector switch. This is very impressive for a full metal AR platform in this price range, even more so given that it is an L119A2!
If your UKSF loadout needs a primary to finish it off or you collect British Army rifle replicas and need the special forces tool of choice to complete the arsenal, the Rossi L119A2 Neptune SAS 10.5" AEG with MOSFET is a beast on the field and looks fantastic to boot. If only this bad boy was out before we all spent our money on Angry Gun L119A2 parts!
