If you're a sniper looking for the ultimate sidearm, the Novritsch SSX23 Gas NBB Pistol is pretty much it! The MK23 platform has been known for decades as the Airsoft sniper's best friend, and the Novritsch version is fully upgraded internally and ready for action. Other unique perks of the SSX23 include its metal optics ready slide with light-enhancing iron sights, giving you fantastic sights straight out of the gate with the option to mount the Novrtisch SSX23 Red Dot Plate or Slide rail and use an optical sight.
Inside the SSX23, we are treated to a 6.02mm tightbore inner barrel paired with a TDC HOP-up and flat pressure plate, giving it demonic performance and the ability to outshoot most Airsoft assault rifles you'll encounter in the field. The most useful perk of the SSX23 as far as sniping is concerned is its ultra-quiet muzzle report. Even without a suppressor, the SSX23 is much quieter than a GBB pistol or AEG when fired, and with a suppressor mounted it is almost inaudible from a few meters away. If you need a sneaky sidearm for when the enemy close to within M.E.D., the Novritsch SSX23 Gas NBB Pistol has your back!

Description
If you're in search of a sidearm to compliment your sniper rifle, you can't ask for much better than the Novritsch SSX23 Gas NBB Pistol! Based on the phenomenal MK23 platform, the sidearm of choice for snipers who value stealth, the SSX23 is fully upgraded inside and out and is a capable long-range platform despite being relatively compact.
Inside the SSX23, we are kitted out with a 6.02mm tightbore inner barrel, TDC HOP-up and flat pressure plate, allowing BBs of up to 0.36g to be used and providing insane accuracy and range straight out of the box. The slide is also made from alloy, giving this MK23 platform the edge when it comes to realism and providing optics-ready functionality if you add the Novritsch SSX23 Red Dot Plate V2 or SSX23 Slide rail. If you prefer to run irons, you'll be pleased to learn that the SSX23 uses light-enhancing iron sights so you can pick them up quickly in both low light and bright conditions!
Starting at the front, we can find 16mm CW male barrel threads, allowing Novritsch Suppressors to be mounted directly. These threads are not standard 14mm CCW threads but adapters will be available soon so you can use your favourite suppressor or tracer unit. Currently, we recommend the 16mm CW version of the Novritsch Modular Suppressor V2 for the SSX23 due to its internal baffle system and direct compatibility with the SSX23's unique threads. With a suppressor on, this beast is literally whisper quiet, essential for any sneaky sniper!
The slide of the SSX23 doesn't move each time you shoot due to the highly efficient non-blowback internals designed for pure downrange effect. This means the SSX23 is far more gas efficient than common EU and Hi-Capa GBB pistols and is also much more consistent under rapid fire and far better in cold weather. NBB pistols are also inherently quieter than GBB pistols by a significant margin, ideal for skirmishers seeking a sidearm that can quietly dispatch the enemy without giving away their position.
The slide itself is constructed from alloy, giving the SSX23 a more realistic weight and feel than other MK23 platforms while also providing a set of nifty light-enhancing iron sights which are fantastic for both dark CQB sites and brightly lit woodland settings. Also present at the rear of the slide are threaded holes designed to allow the Novritsch SSX23 Red Dot Plate V2 or SSX23 Slide Rail to be fitted for use with optical sights. This is a fantastic addition and exactly what the SSX23 needs to take advantage of its impressive long-range performance!
Moving down to the frame, we can find a "HK Univeral Rail" at the front which allows laser aiming modules and tactical flashlights to be mounted with the appropriate adapter. Without the adapter, this rail simply exists in tribute to the real MK23, an ageing platform developed before the 20mm Picatinny rail became the standard.
Following the frame rail, we come to the trigger guard which is considerably enlarged to allow for full finger gloves. The front face of the guard is recurved to provide an extra index point to keep the front end under control, a particularly important design aspect for the SSX23 with its epic long-range performance but relatively heavy and long trigger press. The trigger itself is a standard curved design, intended to keep your finger placement proper, even when hammering out double taps in a hurry!
The magazine release is in the usual spot; where the trigger guard meets the pistol grip. This mag release is a pushdown style lever like USP and MP7 platforms and is present on both sides, ideal for left or right-handed shooters. Novritsch logos can be found on each side of the textured grip, discretely recessed just like the manufacturer's markings on the real thing, with the model name "SSX23" marked on the right side at the top of the grip. At the base of the grip, we are also treated to a lanyard loop, allowing you to mount a Pistol Retention Lanyard so your SSX23 doesn't go missing in the woods!
Over on the left side, we have our dummy slide lock which doesn't work like a GBB pistol but serves as a hidden trigger lock safety when pushed upwards. The second safety is at the rear of the frame, taking the form of an ambidextrous lever which only works when the hammer is cocked. Speaking of the hammer, you can cock it manually as a neat way of making the SSX23 action noise quieter and reducing its trigger pull length and weight. The dummy lever between the safety and slide lock serves as the decocking lever on the real MK23 but on the SSX23 it is moulded into the frame to keep the overall look faithful to the real MK23.
Inside, the SSX23 is truly kitted out, rocking a 6.02mm tightbore inner barrel which is slightly longer than the stock MK23 barrel, giving you a slight FPS boost and improvements in accuracy potential. The HOP-up unit has also been completely revamped with a TDC-style adjuster and flat pressure plate, allowing up to 0.36g BBs to be used and increasing the range of the SSX23 to the borderline extreme. The pre-installed HOP-up rubber is a Maple Leaf 50-degree bucking but if you have a preferred bucking choice you'll be happy to learn that the SSX23 is compatible with any VSR/GBB style bucking!
If you need a sneaky sidearm to keep the enemy at bay while you relocate to take your next shot, the SSX23 would be your perfect companion. Even in CQB, the near inaudible muzzle report of the SSX23 gives you a significant advantage when entering a room, especially when paired with a suppressor!

Joule Charts
Special Instructions
These table can be used as a reference to see if the BB weight you are using will be over acceptable Joulage limits at some Airsoft Sites in the UK. To check if the weight can be used chrono your weapon using the BB you intend to use, and then compare it to the chart.
FPS, Power and Joule Limits can vary from site to site, so please get in touch with where you're going to play with in advance to avoid disappointment.
Suggested limits are based on Joulage Limit rules used Halo Mill: Proving Grounds, with a 350fps limit for Automatic Replicas, 400fps for Semi-Automatic Replicas, and 500fps for Bolt Action Replicas.
Tap the tabs below to open the relevant chart for your replica.
This table should be used for reference, and cannot be used to check one weight against another, as the weight of the BB affects the power.
In order to check if the BB can be used with your replica chronograph using the weight you wish to use and then compare it against the table.
Every time you change weights you will need to re-chrono and check against the table. This is not a conversion chart between weights.
Suggested limits are based on Joulage Limit rules used Halo Mill: Proving Grounds, and is the equivalent of 350fps, using 0.20g BB resulting in an upper limit of 1.14j.
