Laylax Nine Ball Custom "Gungnir" Slide for TM Hi-capa 5.1 GBB

Slide speed is a prerequisite these days for any CQB oriented Hi-capa, especially if you are one of those "speed softers" we keep hearing so much about! Introducing the Laylax Nine Ball Custom "Gungnir" slide, a high density polymer slide with a vicious look, complete with angled ports in its upper surface, and aggressive slide serrations at the front and rear for optimal control. 

This slide represents a new take on Hi-capa slides; instead of following real steel designs, and thereby compromising performance, the Gungnir is all about function. That said, this slide also looks fantastic with its original Laylax design, sporting modern, tactical styling together with extremely low weight providing phenomenal slide speed and gas efficiency.  

The Gungnir comes optics ready straight out of the box, meaning there is no need to burden either your wallet or your slide with the additional cost and weight of an aftermarket optic mounting plate. The mounting plate is compatible with the Vector Optics Frenzy series of reflex sights, and even fits our favourite, the Frenzy-X! This plate is moulded into the slide itself which is a massive advantage when it comes to maintaining a consistent zero. GBBs are violent beasts, and a slide-mounted optic and plate will be thrown around a lot, and the more screws in the design the more you will have to tighten up to keep it sighted in! 

This slide is not solely reliant on optics, though it does omit the front sight blade and cut out to give a more modern look. The Gungnir also has two sets of back-up iron sights on either side of the top of the slide, meaning you can continue to rack up kills even if your optic runs out of battery mid-game! These sights also look fantastic and give the Gungnir a unique look whilst adding to its aggressive and custom styling. The left side of the slide features "GUNGNIR" and "CAL.45" recessed in bold, attractive lettering, adding a hint of plausibility to this unique Airsoft slide. Maybe this is a real slide, dropped off by a time traveller?

Many people stick with their stock TM polymer slides for the improved performance in cold weather, and snappy cyclic rate, with the balancing factor that they are stuck with the standard look and are unable to mount an optic without adding a metal mount plate and thereby adding more weight. The Gungnir slide is here to step in, providing optics ready functionality, a bespoke look and ultra-low weight, allowing those performance seekers amongst us to have their cake and eat it too!
