- Full metal construction
- M4/AR-15 Based LMG
- 2500rnd Auto winding box mag included
If you like the idea of running an LMG but want something light and agile, the Golden Eagle 6670 MCR LMG AEG is what you need. This full metal support weapon is based on the real steel FightLite MCR, an M4/AR-15-based light machinegun which makes the most of the M4's ergonomics with the firepower of a true LMG.
Like the real MCR, the Golden Eagle example boasts a stylish fluted outer barrel which also serves to reduce weight, a mock belt fed upper with mock rounds and link included and an aluminium KeyMod handguard, ready for your mission essential accessories.
Unlike the M249 platform and other dedicated LMGs, the MCR still has its semi-automatic mode, meaning you can follow your team inside and duke it out in semi-only areas. The lightweight build of the MCR really leans into this, letting you cut about with something barely heavier than a full metal M4 but with the firepower of the included 2500-round auto-winding box mag and LMG pre-requisite belt-fed looks. If an LMG is your next step in expanding your arsenal, the MCR is a fantastic choice for those looking for a lesser-seen yet highly effective support weapon!

Description
If you're looking for a modern support weapon that isn't an M249, you're in luck! The Golden Eagle MCR is based on the real steel FightLite MCR, an M4/AR-15-based light machinegun focussed on modern ergonomics and agile handling. Unlike the M249 we are all familiar with, the MCR is almost as light as a normal full-metal M4 and handles similarly thanks to its M4 lower receiver, and also boasts a semi-automatic fire mode which allows it to turn and burn with other rifles indoors while most full auto only LMGs have to wait outside.
This is the 14.5-inch barreled version, making it easier to handle indoors than the 18.5-inch barrel model and ideal for LMG-wanting skirmishers who do a mix of indoor and outdoor gameplay.
Internally, the MCR is practically identical to the standard Tokyo Marui spec M4 AEG, meaning the sky is the limit when it comes to internal upgrades. Externally, the MCR is also compatible with M4/AR-15 AEG pistol grips, sliding stocks and trigger guards for those who simply must customise everything. If you need an LMG which is less common than the M249 SAW and comes with its own perks, the MCR is the one!
Starting at the muzzle we can find an M4/AR-15 birdcage flash hider, a familiar sight. This mounts to male 14mm CCW threading on the tip of the 14.5-inch fluted outer barrel. The barrel is one of the things that make this AEG a beautiful sight to behold. The barrel tapers towards the tip giving the LMG its sleek look and perfectly mimicking the real MCR. Its fluting extends the full length of the barrel and is perfectly machined. Mounted on the barrel is the mock gas block, complete with mock piston, front iron sight and carry handle. These parts are a mix of alloys and steel, keeping the components strong.
The front sight is a unique type but the blade is a standard M4/AR-15 front sight blade, ensuring Ar users have a sight picture they are familiar with. The carrying handle is mounted on the right side of the gas block and can be removed using the large steel locking screw. There are deep grooves machined into the carry handle to provide additional grip whether the user wears gloves or not. The carry handle also fulfils the role of providing something to hold onto in the real firearm when using its quick-swap barrel function, a hallmark of a proper LMG.
To the rear of the carry handle, we can find the KeyMod/Picatinny handguard, which provides a 20mm Picatinny rail on the top, 6 KeyMod slots at the 3 and 9 o'clock position, and 7 KeyMod slots at the 6 o'clock position. This gives rails where you need them while keeping the overall setup light and pointable. The provision of KeyMod slots on the sides and bottom allows mounting of any KeyMod compatible bipod, or a 20mm Picatinny bipod with the appropriate rail sections.
The handguard also provides two steel QD sling sockets, one on the left and one on the right side of the LMG, allowing both right-handed and wrong-handed people to sling it. Unlike with most QD sockets equipped platforms, the Golden Eagle MCR includes 2 QD swivels in the package; one installed on the handguard QD socket and one on the stock. How generous!
Next up, we reach the receiver, which has a large catch on the top to release the outer barrel. In the real firearm, holding this catch down allows barrels to be swapped when the weapon heats up from extended firing. For Airsoft purposes, this is simply for realism purposes, as the outer barrel can be removed but the inner barrel and HOP-up unit stay fixed in place.
Behind the barrel removal catch, we come to the upper receiver/top cover with its is a raised 20mm Picatinny rail which allows for a red dot sight or scope to be mounted right away. The receiver rail is machined as a part of the mock feed tray, which can be raised when the release button at the rear left of the feed tray is pressed. The Golden Eagle MCR comes with a set of detailed mock 5.56mm cartridges on a dummy belt which can be installed between the included box magazine and the feed tray, completing the realistic exterior.
The included magazine is a whopper, to say the least. An autowinding electric box magazine with sound control mode and a massive 2500 BB capacity, just as any LMG needs! The magazine is filled up just like any other high-cap mag; through the fill window at the top of the magazine body. The battery compartment is on the bottom, requiring 4 x AAA cells (not included).
The activation switch is on the right rear of the mag body, with the central position being "off", the right position being the sound control mode and the left position being the autowinding mode. Sound control means an internal microphone will keep the magazine feeding as the AEG is fired and the autowinding mode will automatically wind the magazine as long as the switch is in this position. Sound control is what you will want to use most of the time, but if you prefer you can choose when your magazine winds you can make use of the autowind function.
At the rear of the feed tray mounted rail, we have a low profile M4/M16 style ghost ring aperture iron sight, which combines with the front sight blade to give a familiar sight picture to M4 and M16 users. Like the M4/M16 sight, this can be adjusted for windage using the dial on the right side, and has two apertures to choose from, with a large ring aperture for full-auto fire/close range and a small aperture for precise shots. The upper receiver has a mock ejection port on the right side, through which the adjustable HOP-up unit can be accessed.
The HOP-up unit is a standard M4/AR-15 type gear adjustable unit, providing quick and easy adjustment when the charging handle is held to the rear. Unlike an AR-15, the charging handle on the MCR is on the left side of the receiver and can be folded flush for transportation and to reduce snagging. The bolt release on this rifle is non-functional, though it is still present on the left side of the upper and takes the form of an enlarged bolt release catch. Though the bolt release is non-functional, the charging handle provides all the satisfying click-clack noises you will ever need, actuating the mock bolt carrier with each pull. To the rear of the mock ejection port there is no forward assist or shell deflector, in their place is a large weight-reducing groove, keeping the weight of the MCR low, barely heavier than a standard M4.
As we move to the lower receiver, we arrive at the familiar aspects of the MCR. The lower is a standard AR-15 design, with the fire selector present on the left side above the pistol grip and the magazine release appears on the right side, accessible in a firing grip using the trigger finger. The lower receiver has engraved "SAFE-SEMI-AUTO" markings surrounding the selector switch, so you can avoid using safe and semi, as this is an LMG! The trigger is an enhanced ergonomic design, providing a greater contact surface, and is also weight-reducing with a machined hole, avoiding the addition of even the smallest amount of unnecessary weight.
The trigger guard is a standard M4/AR-15 flat type, providing plenty of room for using gloves but can be exchanged for any M4 AEG-compatible trigger guard. The pistol grip is an "A2" standard design, with a finger ridge and checkering on either side and the rear, to ensure you have a secure grip at all times and in all weather conditions. At the rear of the LMG, we can find a 6-position AR-15 standard buffer tube, which allows the use of M4/AR-15 AEG sling plates and stocks, at the users' discretion.
The MCR comes with an ergonomic stock, featuring 6 positions of adjustment and an ergonomically curved butt plate allowing for using body armour and shouldering the LMG high on the shoulder in tight spaces. The stock features a raised cheekpiece, which provides space for a block battery of around 1300-1600 mAh to be installed within. We recommend a 7.4V 1300mAh LiPo battery in block configuration for an easy fit and great performance.
To install the battery, simply remove the butt plate by unscrewing the two Allen locking screws, and the cheekpiece will come straight off. The battery can then be installed inside, and the cheekpiece re-attached. Alternatively, you can store your battery inside the buffer tube itself if you prefer to use a 7.4V 1300mAh LiPo stick battery.
At the rear of the stock, we are provided two additional steel QD sling sockets, one on the left, and one on the right. The MCR LMG comes with two QD sling studs, which can be removed and installed on any of the 4 sockets present on the weapon.
Internally the MCR LMG uses a standard version 2 gearbox and a common M4/AR-15 gear adjustable HOP-up unit. The internals are fully compatible with any aftermarket parts intended for standard M4/AR-15 AEGs. The pistol grip houses a long shaft motor, compatible with all aftermarket replacements. Basic though the internals may be, the path is open for future upgrades thanks to full Tokyo Marui AEG spec internals!
If you need an LMG in the arsenal but you never know whether you'll be outdoors or indoors, the Golden Eagle MCR LMG is the does-it-all support tool you need. Its externals want for nothing, and its M4 compatible internals mean if you ever want more performance you have the most customisable gearbox out there at your disposal!

Joule Charts
Special Instructions
These table can be used as a reference to see if the BB weight you are using will be over acceptable Joulage limits at some Airsoft Sites in the UK. To check if the weight can be used chrono your weapon using the BB you intend to use, and then compare it to the chart.
FPS, Power and Joule Limits can vary from site to site, so please get in touch with where you're going to play with in advance to avoid disappointment.
Suggested limits are based on Joulage Limit rules used Halo Mill: Proving Grounds, with a 350fps limit for Automatic Replicas, 400fps for Semi-Automatic Replicas, and 500fps for Bolt Action Replicas.
Tap the tabs below to open the relevant chart for your replica.
This table should be used for reference, and cannot be used to check one weight against another, as the weight of the BB affects the power.
In order to check if the BB can be used with your replica chronograph using the weight you wish to use and then compare it against the table.
Every time you change weights you will need to re-chrono and check against the table. This is not a conversion chart between weights.
Suggested limits are based on Joulage Limit rules used Halo Mill: Proving Grounds, and is the equivalent of 350fps, using 0.20g BB resulting in an upper limit of 1.14j.
