- CNC Aluminium handguard
- 6.03mm Tightbore inner barrel
- Licenced by GrandPower Firearms
If you're looking for an affordable MK18 MOD.1 platform for a build project or Milsim loadout, the Delta Armory DA-GP-B15 BRAVO™ MK18 MOD.1 M4/AR-15 AEG is one to watch. This variant of Delta's MK18 is a little different than the previous version, now equipped with a standard Milspec receiver shape and Crane stock with licenced trademarks from GrandPower Firearms.
Inside, the DA-GP-B15 is equipped with the same internals as other BRAVO™ platforms, including an SHS tappet plate, SHS piston with a full steel tooth rack, 7mm ball bearing bushings and a reinforced gearbox shell with a quick change spring guide. Also inside is a 6.03mm tightbore inner barrel paired with a rotary HOP-up unit, getting you off the mark with above-average accuracy potential and a slight FPS boost.
Externally, the DA-GP-B15 build style follows the standard BRAVO format, with a CNC aluminium handguard, alloy outer barrel with a high density polymer receiver and buffer tube. This means it tips the scales at far less than a full metal MK18 but still has realistic weight distribution; perfect for those who want to mount the kitchen sink to their primary without compromising in-game agility. If you like the Milspec MK18 aesthetic but prefer to fight easy, the Delta Armory DA-GP-B15 BRAVO™ MK18 MOD.1 M4/AR-15 AEG should suit you perfectly!

Description
If you're looking for an affordable MK18 MOD.1 for a Milsim build, the Delta Armory DA-GP-B15 BRAVO™ MK18 MOD.1 M4/AR-15 AEG makes a fine base platform. BRAVO™ AEGs are constructed with strong high-density polymer receivers and aluminium handguards, making them perfect for those who want to step a bit closer to realism while maintaining maximum energy and agility in game.
Like the ALPHA™ and CHARLIE™ AEGs from Delta, BRAVO™ AEGs have more than their fair share of pre-upgraded parts, including a 6.03mm tightbore inner barrel, rotary HOP-up unit, 7mm ball bearing bushings, a reinforced V2 gearbox shell and a quick change spring system. A reinforced tappet plate and piston made by SHS are also present, keeping reliability high in the long term.
Being a -GP version, this MK18 also boasts licencing from GrandPower Firearms, manufacturers of the real steel R15 FREYA™ rifle and Stribog™ SMG. As such, the receiver has changed from the unique Delta Armory billet style to a standard Milspec AR receiver shape and features a GrandPower Firearms logo roundel, a homage to the real steel R15 rifle line. The DA-GP-B15 also features a Crane stock at the rear instead of the usual Delta Armory battery stock, giving you a more realistic stock choice ideal for a military-style MK18 MOD.1 build.
Starting at the tip of the 10.5-inch alloy outer barrel we are met with a birdcage flash hider which conceals 14mm CCW male threading beneath. The birdcage suits the MK18 MOD.1 build well, but if you are going full SF with this rifle you will be happy to learn it can accept any tracer unit or suppressor which mounts to the common 14mm CCW male threading. A KAC or SF-style suppressor or tracer would be perfect on this rifle!
The handguard begins practically immediately following the flash hider, being 10 inches in overall length. This handguard is a great replica of the real steel MK18 MOD.1 handguard and boasts 20mm Picatinny rails machined in at the 3, 6, 9 and 12 o'clock positions along the full length of the handguard. The lower section of the handguard can also be removed, leaving the bare barrel exposed to allow an M203 grenade launcher to be mounted in the most realistic way possible, just like the real thing. Whatever you plan on mounting to your primary, this MK18 can take it!
The upper rail of the handguard meets the receiver rail seamlessly, providing a massive 16-inches of uninterrupted rail space along the top; perfect for optical sights of any length! As you will receive it, the Delta Armory DA-GP-B15 BRAVO™MK18 MOD.1 has a set of polymer flip-up aperture iron sights pre-installed on this rail which are fully adjustable and can either serve as primary sights to tide you over until you get a red dot on this bad boy, or left flipped down to act as back up sights to your primary sight. The spring-assisted deployment of these sights makes them especially useful as BUIS as you can simply press the tab on the rear of each of the sights to have them snap up and into place in an instant, ready to take the shot!
The Delta Armory DA-GP-B15 BRAVO™ deviates slightly from the MK18 MOD.1 military configuration, though it keeps its standard M4/AR-15 controls layout. The fire selector is positioned just above the pistol grip and offers 3 modes of fire; SAFE, SEMI and AUTO, with a 90-degree throw between each mode. This makes the selector easy to switch, but not so easy that it can be knocked out of position accidentally. The magazine release is on the right side of the magazine well and is accessible for a right-handed user with the tip of the trigger finger.
Pulling back the charging handle, located at the top rear of the receiver will open the dust cover and retract the mock bolt carrier to allow access to the rotary HOP-up adjuster. This is the latest HOP-up unit design for the M4/AR-15 and provides finer increments of adjustment and holds its setting more effectively when compared to the older gear style HOP-up unit. The charging handle has an extended latch for easier access, allowing even those with thick gloves to access the HOP-up unit, though you may need to take off a glove to turn the adjuster!
The receiver of Delta Armory's MK18 is a standard Milspec shape, constructed from high density polymer, ideal for Milsim MK18 MOD.1 builds. On the left side, we are also treated to licenced trademarks from GrandPower Firearms, adding a touch of realism. The trigger guard is also enlarged and built into the receiver, improving strength considerably and following trends in the latest high-end real steel AR-15 rifles.
The pre-installed pistol grip is based on the real steel "Gunfighter mod.3" grip, a modern ergonomic design with a filled backstrap and a reduced grip angle. This allows for a more comfortable shooting stance in CQB when you are running the stock fully collapsed, avoiding wrist fatigue which can develop with more conventional grip designs. The trigger is known as the CNC Type A Flat trigger, offering a flat serrated front surface with a short finger ledge, ideal for rapid double taps.
The Delta Armory MK18 MOD.1 also includes some dummy controls to keep the rifle looking faithful to the real MK18 MOD.1. The bolt catch, over on the left side of the receiver does not function but is nonetheless a separate part, avoiding a moulded in bolt catch, a tell-tale sign of a replica. The forward assist is a similar story, being present on the right side of the upper receiver and being a separate moving part which can be pressed in but does not affect the function of the AEG.
At the rear of the receiver, we are treated to an ambidextrous sling plate which is constructed from steel, providing ample strength to support the MK18 on a single-point sling. This sling point can also be paired with a front sling point (available separately) if you prefer a two-point sling setup for better stability when moving with the rifle stowed. Following the sling plate, we come to the good old AR buffer tube, constructed from high density polymer and offering 6 positions of stock adjustment for the pre-installed crane stock which also serves as the battery compartment for the DA-GP-B15.
To access the battery compartment, squeeze the two tabs at the toe of the stock together, after which you can lift the butt plate off, remove the battery plug, and make use of the stock's built-in battery compartment to house a nunchuck/crane-style battery. For the DA-GP-B15, we recommend a 7.4V 1300mAh LiPo crane/nunchuck battery but you can also make use of a 9.6V 1600mAh NiMH for extra capacity.
The Crane stock also includes a pair of QD sling sockets, one on each side, allowing for QD sling swivels to be added for a quick removable sling setup. Conventional sling slots (aka "footman loops") are also present for those who want a two-point sling but prefer the old-fashioned way. The butt plate is also made from grippy rubber, ensuring your MK18 doesn't slip off your shoulder at a critical moment.
The internals of the BRAVO™ series boast more than their fair share of pre-upgraded parts, including a reinforced gearbox shell with quick change spring functionality and a 6.03mm tightbore inner barrel paired with a rotary HOP-up unit, offering higher FPS with the same spring and finer HOP-up adjustment increments so you can get your HOP-up set perfectly for your chosen ammo weight.
Inside the version 2 gearbox, we are treated to 18:1 ratio steel gears running on 7mm ball bearing bushings, an SHS piston with a full rack of steel teeth and an SHS tappet plate for reliable feeding, even at high speed. The spring guide is a quick change example, allowing for easy power tuning to suit your local site's limits or build objectives. The internals are all Tokyo Marui spec, meaning aftermarket upgrades are prolific for those who want to maximise performance.
If you're searching for a milsim-appropriate backup platform or you want the elite look without paying elite bucks, the Delta Armory DA-GP-B15 BRAVO™ MK18 MOD.1 M4/AR-15 AEG is what you need. Superbly made but light and agile, this MK18 is ideal for the SEAL or Delta impressionist that prioritises mobility!

Joule Charts
Special Instructions
These table can be used as a reference to see if the BB weight you are using will be over acceptable Joulage limits at some Airsoft Sites in the UK. To check if the weight can be used chrono your weapon using the BB you intend to use, and then compare it to the chart.
FPS, Power and Joule Limits can vary from site to site, so please get in touch with where you're going to play with in advance to avoid disappointment.
Suggested limits are based on Joulage Limit rules used Halo Mill: Proving Grounds, with a 350fps limit for Automatic Replicas, 400fps for Semi-Automatic Replicas, and 500fps for Bolt Action Replicas.
Tap the tabs below to open the relevant chart for your replica.
This table should be used for reference, and cannot be used to check one weight against another, as the weight of the BB affects the power.
In order to check if the BB can be used with your replica chronograph using the weight you wish to use and then compare it against the table.
Every time you change weights you will need to re-chrono and check against the table. This is not a conversion chart between weights.
Suggested limits are based on Joulage Limit rules used Halo Mill: Proving Grounds, and is the equivalent of 350fps, using 0.20g BB resulting in an upper limit of 1.14j.
