If you're in search of a lightweight AR platform for outdoor skirmishes, the Delta Armory DA-B14 BRAVO™ URX 3 12" M4/AR-15 AEG is one to watch. BRAVO™ AEGs are constructed with strong high-density polymer receivers and aluminium handguards, making them perfect for those who want to step a bit closer to realism while maintaining maximum energy and agility in game.
The DA-B14 is rocking a URX 3 style handguard, a super slim handguard designed for modern shooting stances with a full-length 20mm Picatinny rail up top and short lengths on the sides and bottom, giving you enough space for your mission essentials without making the front end too heavy and difficult to point.
Inside, we are treated to the usual Delta Armory complement of pre-upgraded internals, including an SHS tappet plate, SHS piston with a full steel tooth rack, 7mm ball bearing bushings and a reinforced gearbox shell, complete with quick change spring system. All internal parts are Tokyo Marui AEG spec, meaning you have access to an unrivalled aftermarket if you ever want to upgrade. Description
If you're looking for a uniquely sleek AR platform for skirmishing outdoors, the Delta Armory DA-B14 BRAVO™ URX 3 12" M4/AR-15 AEG is one to watch. As a Delta Armory BRAVO™ series AEG, the DA-B14 is equipped with a CNC aluminium URX 3 style handguard and alloy outer barrel but keeps the high-density polymer receiver and buffer tube of the CHARLIE™ series to keep the build light and easy to move with.
On the inside, Delta Armory's BRAVO™ range has more than their fair share of pre-upgraded parts, including a 6.03mm tightbore inner barrel, rotary HOP-up unit, 7mm ball bearing bushings, a reinforced V2 gearbox shell and a quick change spring system. All internal parts are Tokyo Marui AEG spec, ideal for upgrade fiends and those that want more. If you're seeking a long gun for duking it out at range and like to move fast while you do it, the Delta Armory DA-B14 BRAVO™ URX 3 12" M4/AR-15 AEG is ideal!
Starting at the tip of the 12.5-inch alloy outer barrel we can find an alloy birdcage flash hider, a familiar sight to most M4/AR-15 users. The pre-installed birdcage flash hider can be unscrewed to reveal a 14mm CCW thread underneath, meaning if you are sick of the sight of a birdcage you aren't stuck with it! The threading allows you to mount Suppressors, Tracer Units, Muzzle Brakes or any 14mm CCW-compatible muzzle device to further enhance the looks or performance of your AEG.
On top of the handguard and at the rear of the receiver you will find the pre-installed BUIS (Back Up Iron Sights). The sights are easy to operate, requiring a simple press of the textured button on the top of each to deploy them from the stowed position. The sights are fully adjustable for windage and elevation, and the rear sight offers the choice of two apertures; a smaller one for long range shooting and semi-auto, and a larger aperture intended for low-light use and full-auto fire.
The handguard is a URX-style design which saves on weight by reducing the length of the side and bottom rails, leaving 20mm Picatinny rails only in the most appropriate positions. The 12 o'clock position features a full length rail, giving you plenty of space to mount an optical sight of practically any length, and the 3, 6, and 9 o'clock rails are positioned at the front, allowing for a bipod, tactical flashlight or PEQ laser to be added. The sides and bottom of the handguard are bevelled to make it easy to hold and also have threaded holes in case you want to mount extra rails for more mission-essential goodies. As the handguard meets the receiver we can find QD sling sockets on either side, allowing for a quick detach sling setup, making switching weapons mid-game that much easier.
Moving rearward we reach the receiver, which is a familiar M4/AR-15 layout but styled to match modern AR-15 billet receivers. The receiver is constructed from high density polymer with a matt black finish and features a built-in enlarged trigger guard for improved strength and easy access to the trigger. The front of the magazine well is equipped with gripping grooves to allow it to be used as a makeshift grip when shooting from unconventional positions and the receiver surfaces are angular and modern, matching the most recent real-world M4/AR-15 pattern rifles.
The fire selector is located on the left side of the AEG and sits directly above the pistol grip to provide fast and easy access for right-handed shooters. The fire selector has a 90-degree throw between modes, making it quick to operate but not too easy to accidentally knock it and end up in the wrong fire mode. Each fire mode is indicated with recessed bullet pictograms, with a crossed-out projectile denoting the safe mode, a single projectile for semi-auto and multiple projectiles for full auto.
At the centre of the left side of the receiver, we can find a dummy bolt release catch which doesn't have a function in an Airsoft AEG but is included to keep the externals looking realistic. The bolt release is a separate part which is a nice touch to avoid the tell-tale signs that this is an Airsoft gun and not the real deal. Over on the right side of the receiver, we can see what is known as the forward assist button, located on the upper receiver behind the mock shell deflector. This button also has no function but serves to force the real M4/AR-15 bolt carrier into battery if it fails to close due to dirt ingress. The button can be pressed and is a separate part, showing that Delta Armory wants us to have the realistic looks we deserve!
The magazine release is on the right side of the magazine well and is ideally positioned to be pressed with the trigger finger from a firing grip for right-handed users. Left-handed users can use their support hand thumb to press the release, and this can be done quite fast with a little practice. The surface of the mag release is textured to provide the necessary gripping qualities, and is protected from accidental presses by the "magwell fence", a raised protrusion in the receiver which stops the mag release from catching on your gear as you move.
The adjustable HOP-up unit is located inside the mock ejection port over on the right side of the upper receiver. This device allows you to adjust the amount of backspin applied to your BBs and tune the DA-B14 for your ammo weight of choice, looking for the flattest possible trajectory. The Rotary HOP-up adjuster can be accessed by holding the charging handle back, after which the dust cover will spring open and the mock bolt plate will retract. The rotary HOP-up design is known as the latest and greatest for M4 AEGs, and it is always nice to see up-to-date internal parts, even in reasonably priced platforms like this.
The pistol grip of the DA-B14 sits right in line with Delta's leaning towards ultra-modern furniture and boasts a refined grip angle for greater comfort when shooting with the stock fully collapsed and in more modern shooting stances. Each flank of the pistol grip includes fine Specna texturing, matching that on the stock and magazines, and the front has linear texture to ensure you have a firm grip on the DA-B14 in any weather conditions. The trigger guard is the standard M4/AR-15 flat style, and the trigger has a curved MilSpec style trigger profile which will keep those with a Milsim leaning happy.
At the rear of the receiver, we come to the steel CQD style sling plate, which offers ambidextrous functionality with single-point slings; perfect for left or right-handed shooters. The steel construction of the sling plate practically guarantees no matter what you choose to mount to the plethora of 20mm rails on the DA-B14, the sling plate will be strong enough to support the weight.
Following the receiver, we reach the AR buffer tube, which is a common part found on the vast majority of M4/AR-15 AEGs. This buffer tube is constructed from the same tough high density polymer as the receiver and provides 6 positions of adjustment, enough to suit any body type or loadout. The buffer tube system allows you to swap your stock out for any aftermarket M4/AR-15 stock simply and quickly, so if you get tired of the looks of the DA-B01 in the future, swapping out the stock can freshen 'er up!
Not that you would want to swap the stock, as we are treated to the superb Delta Armory battery stock at the rear, one of the best modern Airsoft stocks out there. Some may recognise it from Krytac's Trident range, but this stock was actually designed by Delta and supplied to Krytac, so what you are seeing here is the original! The stock is constructed from high-density polymer throughout, with a steel adjustment pin to eliminate wobble and steel QD sling sockets on either side. The stock is a "club foot" style design with a low profile adjustment lever to reduce the possibility of snagging the stock on your equipment.
Accessing the battery compartment is super simple compared to other stocks; simply press the two textured tabs at the toe of the stock and the butt plate will pop off, revealing the battery compartment and the mini-Tamiya battery connector inside. We recommend a 7.4V 1300mAh LiPo in crane/nunchuck configuration for an easy fit but there is potentially room for more, though make sure you don't squash your LiPo cells!
Also present on the stock is a sling slot for more traditional rifle sling setups and a raised cheek pad comprised of slightly smoother polymer than the rest of the stock for improved comfort. The butt plate is rubberized and is textured for optimum grip; ensuring that the stock stays firmly in your shoulder when shooting. The Delta Armory logo can be found embossed on the left side in bold lettering, allowing you to show off your brand allegiance!
On the inside, we are treated to some decent pre-upgraded parts focused on reliability. The gearbox shell is reinforced to cope with stronger springs and the spring guide is a quick change example making power tuning a breeze. Inside the version 2 gearbox, we have an SHS piston with a full rack of steel teeth and an SHS tappet plate to guarantee reliable feeding. The gearset is constructed from steel with an 18:1 ratio, and the gears themselves run on 7mm bushings for a smoother, unlaboured gearbox report.
To provide the accuracy needed to deal with long-range foes, the DA-B14 is equipped with a 6.03mm tightbore inner barrel paired with a rotary HOP-up unit, offering higher FPS with the same spring and finer HOP-up adjustment increments so you can get your HOP-up set perfectly for your chosen ammo weight. The rotary unit also holds its setting far better than the legacy gear-style HOP-up unit, meaning once your HOP-up is set you won't need to touch it again for quite some time.
If you're looking for a primary for outdoor skirmishes with a slimline handguard well suited to modern shooting stances, the DA-B14 is exactly that. Equipped with pre-upgraded internals focussed on long-term reliability and a fantastic combination of CNC aluminium and high-density polymer externals, the DA-B14 BRAVO™ URX 3 12" M4/AR-15 AEG makes a fantastic beginner platform and a great choice for experienced skirmishers looking for a reliable backup platform!

Joule Charts
Special Instructions
These table can be used as a reference to see if the BB weight you are using will be over acceptable Joulage limits at some Airsoft Sites in the UK. To check if the weight can be used chrono your weapon using the BB you intend to use, and then compare it to the chart.
FPS, Power and Joule Limits can vary from site to site, so please get in touch with where you're going to play with in advance to avoid disappointment.
Suggested limits are based on Joulage Limit rules used Halo Mill: Proving Grounds, with a 350fps limit for Automatic Replicas, 400fps for Semi-Automatic Replicas, and 500fps for Bolt Action Replicas.
Tap the tabs below to open the relevant chart for your replica.
This table should be used for reference, and cannot be used to check one weight against another, as the weight of the BB affects the power.
In order to check if the BB can be used with your replica chronograph using the weight you wish to use and then compare it against the table.
Every time you change weights you will need to re-chrono and check against the table. This is not a conversion chart between weights.
Suggested limits are based on Joulage Limit rules used Halo Mill: Proving Grounds, and is the equivalent of 350fps, using 0.20g BB resulting in an upper limit of 1.14j.
